Your private culinary experience starts by meeting your host in Kuala Lumpur and visiting a nearby market where you'll learn how to select fresh ingredients, plus have the chance to practice your bargaining skills.
Then head to your host's home for your hands-on cooking lesson. With your host, prepare and make a curry, and then sit down with your group to eat the dish you prepared, as well as a local appetizer and dessert that your host made in advance. There are many different kinds of curry in Malaysian and other cuisines, so feel free to ask your host about the one you're making.
When your class is over, you'll have newfound insight into a piece of Malaysian culture.

We had a great time with our chef who brought us to the market and then home to his parents. He teached us how to make curry and was very talented. Afterward we went to another place and had some naan bread with cheese because...More
The whole experience that Hasnah offered us was wonderful. She took us

My experience withlocals experience didn’t bode well, the website provided us with the wrong location on where to meet our host. Instead of a 5 min drive to where hasnah was meant to be it ended up being 40 mins taxi ride this impacted on...More
Had such an informative and interesting day learning a about Indian cooking. I have definitely learnt things that I will use in my own cooking. All 6 things we made were so tasty and the class was very accommodating to our vegetarian needs.

He is very knowledgeable and enthusiastic about what he does. He and
his father were generous with their time...More

I would suggest that you contact the host at least 48 hrs prior and not the website as they got it totally wrong for us. By the time we got there the market had closed but also to be fair it closed early (don't know if it was because it was quiet) we were like nearly an hour late.
Hope you have a better day than us we were a little let down by our host (see my review) although the food she did make was good.
