We had an amazing time on this walking tour of Osaka with Mr. Taka. He was a knowledgeable and friendly guide who showed us some hidden gems of the city, such as one of the oldest temples in Japan. He also explained the history and culture of the must-see sights, such as the Osaka Castle and the Dotonbori Street.
The tour included some fun and delicious activities, such as sake and ice cream tasting (we paid for them) and a great ramen lunch at a local restaurant. We enjoyed trying different flavors and learning about the food traditions of Osaka.
This was a full day of walking in combination with subway hopping, but it was worth every minute. We explored the city on foot and walked about 20,000 steps. We saw a lot of interesting places and learned a lot from Mr. Taka.
If you are a first-timer in Osaka, this tour is a must. It will give you a comprehensive and authentic experience of this vibrant and fascinating city. Thank you, Mr. Taka, for making our trip unforgettable!

Taka was an outstanding tour guide. We were a small group of 4 and had an enjoyable time, traversing the streets and subways of Osaka! Taka was very knowledgeable and patiently explained the origin/background of each site and highlighted buildings and signs of interest on the way. We had a good ramen lunch and a sake tasting (paid) experience.
Just ensure you come with comfortable walking shoes as we covered at least 20k steps!

Taka-San did his very best to make the tour as good as it could be. With temperatures roaring close to three digits and the length of the tour he was mindful of the tour participants and allowed for additional breaks and cooling down spots. I wish all my tours in Japan were with someone like Taka-San who knows the area and provides funny and exciting facts.

My husband and I enjoyed the company of the 11 others in our group (which we felt was a bit too large for comfortable touring) but did not think Taka provided much added value. He did give a few comments for each site but I think we would have done much better to just buy the Osaka amazing pass and travel to each place on our own. We are admittedly different from most tourists in being Americans living in a different city in Japan (we were already were familiar with a lot of Japanese culture), but we were hoping for a lot more history from a knowledgeable guide. We've taken tours of cities in the US that were excellent so I think it's quite possible to learn a lot from a tour even if you know the country and the culture already. That was not what we got from this tour. Taka seemed tired. The ramen was not great and Taka left us during lunch. We had no interest in the sake-tasting, meaning we lost another hour just sitting around at the information desk in the market, which was not a very interesting place (again, if you are already familiar with Japan). No doubt those new to Japan will appreciate being guided around but we were hoping for a local with lots of insight and did not find that.

Thank you for your valuable opinion.
We will sharpen up our tour more and more with your kind support.
The Ramen shop is very popular for local people, also for our tourists.
When we visit Kuromon market, you can stroll around and try some street food if you want, no need to sit and wait at information center.

I'm Japanese, but I applied because I wanted to participate in a walking tour of Osaka.
I would recommend this tour to Japanese people as well, as it allows you to travel to your destination stress-free and see the highlights of Osaka with a guide in easy-to-understand English.
I really had a great time with the guide and all the other participants.
I would like to take this opportunity to wish the cute couple from Australia and their American boyfriend a wonderful trip in Japan!
I'm sorry I caused trouble for our guide Taka by being a bit irregular, but I hope he takes care of himself and continues to spread the charms of Osaka. Thank you!

I have some feedback for this tour:
1. The meeting place was super hard to find as the name of the location does not translate well to English and there are no English signs. Being inside the train station made it so that Google could not pinpoint the exact place.
2. The lunch restaurant was awful, underground, dark and dirty. I would have never chosen to eat at a place like this.
3. The guide was kind and knowledgeable, but had an unfortunate skin condition and scratched and rubbed his skin non stop, which made it quite awkward and unpleasant.
We visited beautiful landmarks and the guide provided excellent information. His English was very good.

Please refer directions to the meet up location on your voucher.
The meet up lcation got free Wi-Fi and toilet, it is very convenient for tourists as well.
About the ramen shop, they are always keeping the shop clean, but I will remind them to do more improvement. This shop is very popular for local and tourists.
Because my skin was damaged by sunburn during summer, but i t's getting well now.
I'm sorry if I made you feel uncomfortable.

We had a wonderful tour but the meeting location was very frustrating. There are two different locations listed, one listed under meeting place and another link under “know before you go” that are not near each other. We had to call to try and find our guide. I would strongly suggest meeting at a store front on the first floor that we can google to find in a less hectic area. Our guide took good care of us but really had little interaction outside of providing history. Maybe this is cultural. We saw so many things and ate wonderful Raman.

Yuka was our tour guide and she was fabulous! From the moment we booked this Walking Tour she was in touch with us to see where we wanted to go and what we wanted to see! She greeted us at the port and carefully guided us through the Metro system on to the Osaka castle. We had a wonderful day learning about Osaka, from someone who was born and raised here. Highly recommend this tour!

Went on 9/1/2023 with a group of 5 people - 1 couple, and 2 other solo travelers like me. Our tour guide was very patient considering I got lost trying to get to the meeting station! He was so kind and nice to pick me up from the station. His knowledge of the points of interests we visited were very helpful. I enjoyed the tour of the Osaka castle, dotonburi, and we even got to slide on the Hitachi (tower slide). The tour lasted about 10 hours. It was amazing. Kudos to our tour guide. (I don’t know how to spell his name so I wouldn’t try.) highly recommend.

Through a combination of walking and ‘metro train hopping’ we covered quite a large amount of Osaka in the one day. The guide was good and allowed for plenty of tests along the way. But still, be prepared for quite a lot of walking.
