      Highly recommended tour!
We had an excellent 5 hour tour with Ryuki in Kyoto! We are a family of 4 with 2 adult college age daughters. Ryuki grew up in Kyoto and is friendly, animated. He will email you his suggested itinerary but you can change it to your preferences. We visited Gion, many temples, shrines, ate lunch at a local Japanese restaurant, and had yummy delicious snacks. He knew the best places to take your photos. It was an extremely hot, humid day but he timed our visit so that we would be in a shady area at the hottest time of day. I would highly recommend Ryuki to be your tour guide.

      Memorable Kyoto City Tour
Hanna is a wonderful guide and we really enjoyed our city tour in Kyoto with her. She explained each and every relevant thing to us and created the whole itinerary as per our need and pace. My Son enjoyed having local lunch with her. Thanks to her for our memorable Kyoto City tour.

The best way to see Kyoto
Kokoro was a font of knowledge, we asked hundreds of questions during our incredible tour and he had every answer immediately! The personalized touch was great for us to manage the incredible July heat. Another nice touch was he would explain the process and provide extra information when using the buses, trains, and subway. Making sure everyone knew what stop and how to exit. A must when dealing with a bunch of Americans that have limited mass transit experience.

      Better to use Wanderlog
As far as the process, it was very confusing to receive several messages from different sources about this one tour package - TripAdvisor, Viator, CityUnscripted, and Tripconsul LTD. In addition I had direct contact with the tour guide (Rika via WhatsApp) who said she never received the survey results to prepare for the tour. So the guide and I were planning until two days before when she finally said she didn’t feel comfortable with the assignment. I felt bad for the her, even if she canceled and left us with a hole in our itinerary. It seems disorganized and the guide was not able to create an itinerary for a 3hr overview of just a few key points for Kyoto. She seemed to ask me to provide an itinerary, so I shared a list from Wanderlog. For me, this was not worth it for the price tag. I’m glad I was able to cancel in time, but it left us with a big hole in our day.

      A Must!
Make sure you book your tour with Mia. She is super friendly, knowledgable and patient with families who need a lot of bathroom breaks and snacks!

      Excellent private tour
Tour was personal and tailored to our needs. As it was it very hot day, our tour guide offered cooler alternatives which really helped us with the young children in our group

Request Jose...He Is An Amazing Guide and We Will Never Forget This Tour!!
Jose is #1....What an amazing guide. He was so knowledgeable and took us to the most amazing spots. This tour was the perfect way to see Kyoto on our first arrival day. Jose taught us to ride the bus and all the important aspects of the Kyoto culture. We can not thank him enough for providing us with such a memorable experience. Make sure to request Jose if you can, you will not be disappointed.

      Wonderful evening tour of Kyoto!
This was our first trip to Kyoto and Japan and we only had a couple of days to see Kyoto. So we knew we needed a local tour guide to make the most efficient use of our time. We usually don't like overly structured tours with rigid schedules because we often have more interest in some sites than others. So this tour was perfect. Mia delivered a tour with the perfect mix of education and fun and allowed us to spend more time at the sites where we had the most interest. She showed us the perfect mix of "bucket list" sites and "hidden gems," and shared impressive knowledge on history, architecture, food, and culture of the city and Japan. My teenage son and daughter are always hard to impress, and they loved her. They were also sad she wasn't able to eat dinner with us after the tour.

      Amazing experience, so worth it!
Michael Was an amazing your guide, did some pre planning on what to see and was about the most efficient tour guide I’ve ever had! Really can’t say enough good things about this tour. We did 25,000 steps which was a lot! But he warned us going in and despite the focus on getting to each place never felt rushed, as we walked or took the train, he gave very interesting little facts that I found fascinating that I simply would never have learned about except for having the local person tell us! ( example was what yellow license plates mean!) Overall amazing time thanks so much Micheal!

      Vanessa is a great guide!
Vanessa was very helpful and informative. She was able to provide insight not only into the history of Kyoto, but also into the daily life of modern residents. She was able to help us understand how to get around in Kyoto as well as understand the different areas of the city. She showed us several interesting places we would not have found on our own. Learning about the various customs at each temple as well as insight into Geisha life was worth the price on its own. Her communication style and willingness to go above and beyond were a great way to start our time in Kyoto.

      4 hours of great food!
Ryuki tailored our walk perfectly, allowing us to try lots of different local cuisines. He was happy to chat about everything and anything and shared lots of local knowledge with us. The food was tremendous and it was a great way to experience Kyoto on our first visit there. Highly recommend the your, especially if Ryuki is taking it. (Make sure you wear comfortable shoes as it is a fair amount of walking!)

      Kyoto cultural experience
The tour was everything we hoped it would be. Our guide was fantastic, showing us the sites while avoiding crowds by utilizing back entrances at some sites. We never waited in line. He was very knowledgeable about the history and cultural significance of each site. Lunch was delicious! I highly recommend this tour and our guide.
