There was no issue with the beer ,however all other alcoholic drinks were refused. Eventually we were allowed a wine! Chef Ben is very friendly and efficient to make sure all the food is filled up always. Tried some of the pastries and a bit disappointed. The chocolate cake taste ok but a bit dried. The chocolate chip cookies are tasteless and not crunchy. The worst chocolate chip cookies I ever had. Hope the pastry products can get some improvements on my next visit. The staffs are very friendly and nice to clear off the dirty plates efficiently. Overall is a good and cozy place to chill before the flights.Written 4 February 2023

Fried mee with curry chicken + vege (buffet style) OR clear soup noodle with mince meat and vege. For snacks deep fried buns and pieces of cakes. - MikeShaikh0 contributionsOne of the worst PP LoungesOnce we landed at KLIA2 we decided to head to Plaza Premium Lounge next to the Hotel. There was no one there at the Front Desk,we waited till someone finally showed up.After going through the registration process we headed to see the Food Display,It was around 7:45 pm, Mostly Noodles and Pasta with Lentils.Cold Food look Old,Hot Food was Cold,we asked the Chef to make some Fresh Pasta with Lentils,He made some quickly and The first spoon full tasted like I was eating Frozen Pasta with Cold Sauce,we decided to forego the nasty Food and asked the people to help with the Coffee Machine (needed hot milk for Coffee) The 3 people working there were Busy Laughing and having a Good time on their Cell phones. They told the wife to help herself and it is "Self Serve" and they went back to their phones. which Infuriated me and I asked for the Manager,I came across a "Trainee" who did not know what to do and Just made excuses. - Mark D0 contributionsThere are 2 PPL in KLIA2 (with different names)!When I asked for the Plaza Premium Lounge (PPL) in KLIA2, I was initially recommended to go to the "Wellness Center" (which is owned & operated by PPL). It was a long walk-- and, the services offered (food drinks, including beer, showers, massage etc.) were more than adequate--- but the ambiance was "quite plebian". After an hour or so, I proceeded to my gate (L8) and found a second PPL right next door- and, which is branded as such. The ambiance was more "uplifting"- but smaller than many of the other PPL lounges that I have frequented. Both lounges are a pleasant, relaxing way to await a flight... with many services on offer. I heartily recommend using either of these lounges. I hope that this review has been helpful.Written 18 January 2020

I actually prefer this section because it's so quiet and I sleep like a log. However you don't get the same food access even though you booked through the Private Resting Suite, Plaza Premium Lounge - Gateway@klia2? site. I can never understand how this works but I still had another lovely stay and woke up fresh for my early flight. The small breakfast is enough but I they don't supply English tea in the room or at breakfast. I find this a bit disappointing but I just bring my own tea bags.Written 18 January 2020

I spent four hours here on 23 November, arriving as a 'walk in'. The staff at the entrance were helpful and efficient. Inside, I enjoyed a complimentary glass of wine and then had a couple of good draught beers and a nice coffee. The hot food underwhelmed me but the cakes were great. I was able to find comfortable seating. The 3-hour pass represented good value-for-money and I would use this brand again.

Probably because we were used to Malaysia Golden lounge in the past we were expecting high standards at the Plaza Premium Lounge.
We were in for a shock as the lounge was very busy, there were many uncleared tables, a serious lack of food availability and the staff members were indifferent.
The only saving grace was the terrific Chicken Rendang dish, which was the only meal that appeared to be available but to be honest it was delicious.

Just a heads up….there is hardly any food available once you go through customs. You would think you are doing the right thing by heading to the slow customs queue as soon as possible. There is no indication you cannot really get food once you have gone through.

Don't waste your money.
Booked due to a long layover in KL. When we arrived at the airport it was so poorly ran that check-in of our bags took 3-hours, then another 2-hour through security and immigration, then a 30min bus wait / ride before you even GET to the Depatures Lounge where the Premium Lounge is. We then had 20min before having to go to our gate so never got to use it. Asked for a refund due to the failure to use do to the airport's shocking processing speed, and was told no. Honestly, why even have pre-booking set times if you have no ability to guarentee arrive to the Departure Lounge on time. Never been an airport where processing takes so long.

Absolutely a waste of money. No real selection of food, only beer, coffee and a very small selection of cold drinks. The eating area is very small and doubles as the relaxation area too. Chairs are very uncomfortable ( we spent 5 hours trying to get comfortable) air conditioning either not working or set to 26deg C or so it felt. Can't believe it cost AUD101.00 per person. 😢 Never use this lounge again.

I was at Kuala Lumpur International Airport (20 Sept 2023, at 1800 hours), where i ordered 3 hot chocolates, and a warm tuna croissant. This took some time as no one was at the counter; all staff were either making drinks or washing up, a poor sign from the start! The croissant filling, when it arrived, was cold . We only received 2 hot drinks. These 2 hot chocolates were completely undrinkable. The service staff were unapologetic, offering a single americano as replacement when I complained.
As a global brand, one expects a minimum level of quality of service and refreshments. I was appalled at the poor service and awful food and drink for which i paid MYR 81.45, (and still have the receipt) being offered no refund or apology when requesting some kind of response. This is the first time i have been to Costa (anywhere in the world) to encounter such poor quality. Costa has a near monopoly of trade at KLIA, yet seems unable to provide the minimum quality of food, beverages and service. There is no excuse whatsoever. I have to say this was an unprecedented experience for me. It has only been in KLIA (among the many Costas I have visited) that i encountered such poor service and such unpleasant refreshment.
How on earth HMSHost, the company that administer this franchise has a licence to operate I do not know, but assume it has nothing to do with their ability to conduct this business properly.

Don't waste your money this place is very busy and difficult to find a free table. Food choices very limited, machine coffee awful. Went in and left after waiting for a table and tasting the coffee. The airport cafes and restaurants are far quieter with a good range of food and alot cheaper

Small, cramped, hard to find, rude and lazy staff just told us to split up rather than try find us a spot, no soap, hand dryer or towels in bathroom. Wine choices of “red” or “white”. Do anything you can to find a different lounge.

The lounge is spacious, but the cozy areas have been closed off for airline staff or other unspecified reasons. The food quality is extremely poor—bread is not fresh, there’s no butter, and the croissants are stale. The orange juice tastes like sugary vitamin C syrup. The tables are filthy; even after requesting a cleaning, I had to use tissue paper to wipe my seat, and the tissue turned black. There are no fruits or healthy food options, just low-quality items. This lounge is far from a premium experience and feels more like a railway station.

Dirty, crowded, used plates and glasses not cleaned up. 2 hours wait for a shower. Bathroom falling to pieces. Food consists of a variety of cheap noodles. No where near the standard airline lounge facilities. Extremely overpriced.

We are a family of 4 (2ad + 2ch) and land in KL at midnight during august 2023. Could we book into the lounge until 4am as our next flight leaves at 8am?

I am flying in from London Heathrow to KLIA via Malaysian airlines. I then have a three hour stop over until my next flight to Sandakan via Malaysian airlines - is there anywhere I can book a massage for two people for an hour each in the terminal?
