Kazakasthan is really scenic and has diverse landscapes. Each site is unique and pleasing to the eyes. Natalia is best tour guide I have met so far, she is like a master of all trades, from driving in harsh terrains to being an expert of plants, soil and mountains. The tour was very fun and unforgettable. The places we visited were on of its kind. We really had a lot of fun. Everything is just amazing. Our tour guide Chingzi is so friendly, so helpful and very accommodating. He took good photos and he took care of all our needs. Highly recommended. Excellent experience… the sites were unique and amazing and the guide was very helpful. He was good at picking me in Konaev instead of me driving to Almaty. Also, I enjoyed breakfast and lunch at the local village before entering the national park. Thanks!

If you are in Almaty, this trip is a must. The manager Madi was kind enough to accommodate me my request on such short notice. We visited the Big Almaty Lake, did some trekking, and even some horse riding. The highlight of the trip was the great & friendly guide, Dan, he made it fun and enjoyable & very knowledgeable, so I highly recommend him for any tour you’re considering.

Madi, our first point of contact was extremely helpful and responsive. And then for our tour we had Misha/Michael as our guide and driver. By the time the tour ended he had become our friend! Misha was genuinely the nicest, sweetest person ever! You ask him for anything and he'd say in his own inimitable way "It's possible"! He just didn't know how to say no! 10/10! Yes, that’s exactly what we got from Explore Kazakhstan team… 5 days of fun filled tour in and around Almaty. Let’s start from Mr. Madi who planned the entire itinerary for us and at a very short notice. He was really patient and addressed every question calmly and with no hesitation. We literally changed the tour schedule 3-4 times and every time he responded swiftly. Much appreciated !!! Our driver cum guide cum friend was Mr. Chingiz. He is a wonderful person, took good care of us like real friends, he knows all the routes by heart and drives very safely (important). He took us to great restaurants and treated us with good local meals. Although the food was included in the package, he always took us to decent restaurants. By the end of the tour we became good friends and was really difficult saying goodbye to each other. He was very flexible and we even swapped few locations due to time constraints. Now, coming to the tour, it was a customized, well-planned and amazingly organized tour by Mr. Madi and me of course. Details as below for anyone who wish to explore different places and not just the city. Day 1 - Big Almaty Lake, Medeu Skating Rink, Shymbulak Ski Resort. The Skating rink was under construction and Ski resort closed for obvious reasons, no snow. But the Cable car ride to the top of Tian Shan mountain (3200 m above sea level) is just great. Few patches of snow were still around for me to enjoy. The Big Almaty lake is a must visit place. It is just fabulous. You’ll see when you go in person. Day 2 - Tamgaly-Tas, Altyn Emel National Park: Singing Dune. Both these locations are great. The singing dune is approx. 150 mtrs. Climb, difficult, but it is worth the effort. When you reach on top, the view is just mesmerizing. Day 3 - Tiger Mountains, Jarkent Mosque, Chundzha Hot Springs, Alma Park resort. The Jarkent mosque is just beautiful. The hot springs resort (Alma Park) was a relaxation destination for us. We enjoyed the hot natural mineral water, played water volleyball and chilled inside the pool for a couple of hours. Day 4 - Charyn Canyon & Kolsay Lake. Both the Charyn Canyon and the Kolsay lake is a must visit. The walk back to base in the Charyn Canyon is slightly difficult as it is continuous 2.5 km uphill, so better get the shuttle (500 Tenge per person one way). The Kolsay lake is again a beauty. Do not miss the boat ride, it is really fun and you get to see the mountain up close. We stayed at a guest house in Saty Village. I must say the place is really beautiful, close to the mountains and a river. Absolutely loved this place. Day 5 - Black Canyon, Kaindy lake & Bartogay lake. The black canyon although is just like stop over take pics and move on but the scenery is like a painting. Kaindy lake is awesome too. Great memories forever !!!

Michael was our tour guide and driver for our 4 day trip. HE IS THE BEST! He goes out of his way to make us happy and comfortable, all the time! We couldn't have asked for a better guide than him!

Canyon is just spectacular it is really stunning, Kolsay lake and the hotel nearby with private houses and with the mountain view were also terrific
