Must do in your Checklist if you wish to have memorable experience...!
The Tour was well managed and our tour guide Nursultan from NEOmad was super friendly and welcoming. The communication was detailed and through thought the Calls/Whats App chat until we met on the day of our trip. He made sure to reserve ample amount of time is given at each location to explore the beauty of nature as well as guided through the local shopping/photography. Along with that he made sure that we know about the rules and regulations and provided historic, current and amusing information thought out the journey. Also, he is well versed in communicating in English and knows Indian Culture, hence he was able to suggest good restaurants that would meet your taste palette. Overall would rate 5/5 for the great, memorable experience. Would highly recommend if you are planning for private excursion and trust me you won't regret!

          Amazing place and nice guide
Due to some unexpected reason, Nursultan suggested visiting Issyk Lake instead. It is a beautiful place with amazing views, and we love it so much. Nursultan is a very nice, knowledgeable, and caring person. We enjoy the time with him very much. Thanks for your tea and chocolates.

          MUST DO IN ALMATY..
Went during September and were lucky enough to get a snowfall at the top. Our personal guide Mr Nur Ul Sultan was very good, spoke good English and was well aware of the area. If you can don't miss the chair lift ride up from the second station the feeling is amazing.

Excellent tour. Very professional guide in mr nur sultan . The lake was beautiful and nur explained everything about it so well. The tea he made for us made it all the more special. The gorge trek was amazing. Special mention to the professionalism of nur and his attention to detail.

Nur made the day special - Highly recommended!
Nur was amazing as our host, for the entire day. - Was in regular touch over whatsapp, before the tour day - Picked us up on the day of the tour right on time (we were 11 in all), in a clean, comfortable Mercedes van - Briefed us on the day and planned it out well - Shared everything he knew about Kazakhstan, about the Big Almaty Lake, the Ayu Gorge - patiently as we bombarded him with questions - Took stunning drone shots at the lake! - Took us to a lovely cafe (Tary) at the visitor center (expenses extra) - Brought along tea for all of us, which we had while overlooking the beautiful waterfall - And most importantly, was warm, cheerful, polite all through. Absolutely stunning experience. Highly recommended!

A day well spent at Shymbulak!
Our guide Nur Sultan was extremely friendly and polite. He showed us around the Shymbulak ski-resort and told us about the history of Almaty and ski resort. It was a perfect day trip. We recommend this tour.

NEOmad is not a reliable tour operator
NEOmad is not a reliable tour operator. I booked a tour several months in advance and the tour was cancelled shortly before my departure for Almaty. Needless to say I was left very little time to find another tour operator for this trip. If you want a reliable tour operator, book with someone else.

I was asked to cancel this tour due to weather, still the money was deducted & entire amount was not refunded. This is not ethical. I will really not consider booking again through tripadvisor

An amazing visit to the unesco designated petroglyph area
This is an excellent tour of the ancient petroglyphs within the Unesco designated heritage area. Nur Sultan was our guide for this full day excursion starting by picking us up from our hotel in the morning. Nur Sultan is very knowledgeable of the rock art and the stories of the petroglyphs. His passion for this area and kind approach made this full day excursion a wonderful experience. I highly recommend Nur Sultan to anyone wanting a professional guide to explore this very special area.

          AMAZING Guided Tour
What an amazing experience! To see these ancient petroglyphs with a knowledgeable guide like Nursultan gave us an understanding of the history and culture that has lived in this area for thousands of years and still honoured in Kazak tradition today. Seeing the petroglyphs in person with a guide like Nursultan brings the stories of this art work to life in a way that photos just can’t portray.

Beautiful day partially in wild nature with nice views
The booking did go smoothly and the tour operator contacted me immediately afterwards to confirm the details. Also my guide Bakhtiar contacted me before my arrival to Almaty, so everything was very well organized before and during the trip. The drive out of Almaty took about 1,5 hours but always with nice scenic views. Watch out to your right after leaving the city to enjoy the mountain panorama. First stop was the waterfall, the hike up there was not too difficult but with my fitness level it took rather 40 min, than the 20 min promised by Bakhtiar ;) In any case the views were very well worth the effort!! On the way to the next stop Lake Issyk, we stopped by a trout farm where we could enjoy an excellent lunch. Lake Issyk was a bit low on water but still the views were very beautiful. It helped for sure that it is still preseason and during the week, so it was not crowded. The way from parking to the lake was also involving a short hike but all manageable;) However, as I was a bit tired after a day in fresh air and with a lot of walking I decided to skip the last stop with the Golden Man Museum and keep it for the next time. I will for sure be back to Almaty!! And as on the day before my guide Bakhtiar was again doing a great job adjusting to my needs. Communication and interaction was going also very well, as he speaks very good English and has great communication skills!!

I had a terrific human experience when I visited the Huns village with Nsur-Sultan. The Huns are some of the most adorable, elegant and traditional humans you’d get to meet. I loved how they generously shared with us their traditions and values in a fun and loving manner. Their village is surrounded by breathtaking mountains that the eye must see and the lunch they offer on premises is delicious.

Nsur-Sultan is an experienced and reliable English speaking tour guide and I really appreciated how he went above and beyond to make sure all my needs were met without extra cost. He is a warm communicator and very pleasant to be around. I would totally recommend to any of you interested in the culture and history or Kazakhstan to embark in this sweet and memorable tour with Nsur-Sultan.

We visited Huns ethnic village or Traditional village tour in Talgar, one hour from Almaty. Tour started in opening the gate of the village and throwing candies on their guests, which used to be gold long time ago. Had a short brief about the activities they do in the village, introduced to the way they cook their food and tried a sour horse milk as well as tea. Explanation about how to make their tents in only 2 hours, what dress they wear, how to care for newborns etc. Traditional lunch followed by the main horse show, it takes about 40 minutes, stand and sleep on the horse, compete with each other, try to catch a lady so as to be future wife and many others. Had a chance to try arrow archery.
A must visit while visiting Almaty.

Buckle up and get ready for a memorable show! It was like transporting back to the old times in a time machine. The costumes, the hospitality and graciousness of the employees, the welcome 'baursak' donuts and tea/ fermented milk , the horses, the archery, local music and dance, traditional yurt experience,- all contributed to a memorable experience. The equestrian show is out of this world , the handsome men and pretty girls did an awesome job on the gorgeous horses displaying magnificent skills, so all in all it was an event full of beauty. Fortunately for us it was a bright sunny morning with a majestic backdrop of snow capped mountains.
This is not to be missed- really one of its kind!

I highly recommend this trip to anyone interested in the traditional Kazakh way of life. The reception in the Hun village was very warm and friendly and we had a great experience of seeing the life that the locals have lived for millennia. We loved tasting the traditional horse milk drink kumis and small pies which were offered at the start of the tour. Also it was a great bonus that we could actually take part of the activities like horseriding and archery.

The best part of the tour though was talking to our guide Nursultan, whose knowledge of both past and present life in Kazakhstan is impressive. Most of the things we now know about Kazakh culture we heard from him. His English is perfect and he is very attentive, professional and intelligent - safe to say the best tour guide I have had the opportunity to meet.

Very interesting experience. The huns ethno-village was a valuable insight into the Kazakh nomadic life, the food was delicious and the people very friendly.

Nur-sultan from NEOmad was great to have with us on the trip. He picked us on time form the hotel, made wonderful conversation and explained everything to us in the village, as no one there would speak english.

        Would definitely recommend.

What a perfect trip. I truly enjoyed it to the max. The tour guide Nursultan is very knowledgeable, friendly, and professional. The journey started on time; since then, Nursultan has kept me informed on the progress, history, and records of the places we passed through. The nature is sensational, and the food in the village is lovely. The horse show was excellent, and this trip indeed worth five star! I strongly recommend this trip to everyone visiting Almaty.

Our guide Nursultan was phenomenal - very friendly, knowledgeable. Our group was a mix of Russian and English speakers, and Nursultan took great care to make sure everyone could hear/understand what is being said, switching from English to Russian The setting was beautiful, surrounded by magnificent mountains. The show at the Huns village itself was great- not too long not too short. Very interesting information was shared about Kazakh traditions. The staff were really friendly, interacted with the audience, happy to answer any questions. Horse riding was offered to anyone who wanted it before lunch. Lunch was a delicious sampling of local foods, soup, salads, breads. After lunch we got lessons in archery - it was fun. I highly recommend this experience and Nursultan as a guide to anyone visiting Kazakhstan!

The visit was interesting and informative but a bit lame, sorry. We did the excursion to ensure we saw more of Kazakhstan than just the 2 main cities but I think a nature hike may have been more scenic. It included lunch but if you are one of the last in line, some things run out.
