A great night exploring local hideaway spots in Osaka. Some great bars, with delicious food and soaking up the atmosphere with locals. Taku was the BEST tour guide - local knowledge, a great sense of humour and easy conversations. A great experience - would recommend!

Local reccos for Osaka Foodie Spotd
Had the best time wandering in and out of foodie spots with Aika. She went above and beyond to give us local recommendations and ensure we didn't miss out on anything. She was incredibly chill and personable. We were lucky to have her guide us through temples, shrines, dinner, drinks, and dessert!

A very personal and complete experience
We had a great experience with our host Chia. She helped us choose some grocery-souvenirs and then took us to the studio which was a really nice place. The cooking class itself was great, Chia was warm and great to talk to both on a personal level and as a teacher of all things Japanese. We had lots of interesting drink options to choose from during the class too, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic. The dishes turned out great and we had a nice meal. Chia herself was definitely the highlight of the whole thing

Absolutely fantastic walking tour with our guide Nobu. The group only had three people, which was lovely and Nobu is the prefect guide. I felt like family by the end of the tour.

We went to two main sights, where Nobu explained in detail what you were seeing and why it mattered - so much better then going on your own or reading a guide book. She knew and shared all the hidden sights at each spot too. And a few other smaller sights. Nobu was able to answer any question asked (and some were detailed), always with a smile. The absolute perfect tour guide.

The booking fee includes admission to the two temples at lunch, which was at an old Japanese house serving Japanese/French cuisine. I didn't eat any of the main dishes on the fixed menu (I am very picky eater) but the restaurant was incredibly accommodating and made a lovely special dish for me.

This tour was the absolute best way to see Nara, I highly recommend booking and going to this amazing city. And even better hope you get Nobu as your guide.

Great small group tour with our guide Shin , the weather wasn't great but still enjoyed this tour it included plenty of time to feed the deer. (My husband's favourite part) and all the temples . Lunch was a traditional Japanese meal in a private room which was delicious
Shin was a great guide who gave us lots of information and took pictures all through the day he also took us to a secret spot on the roof of a government building to get a Birdseye view of where we had walked
    Would defo recommend

Visiting Nara for just half a day is definitely a mistake. Enjoying the old streets alone, lingering in the shops, sitting in a restaurant, all of that takes time. Feeding the sika deer is great fun, even if these animals are extremely pushy. The price of the food for 200 yen is OK.
Be careful, the males can be quite aggressive if they don't get enough. The Buddha statue is impressive and at least when we were there in August it wasn't that crowded.
A guided tour can be quite nice, we visited Nara on our own and... that's a good thing.

Had a fantastic time in the beautiful city of Nara. Peco was an excellent guide - knowledgeable, entertaining and an absolute pleasure to spend time with. The tour visited Todaiji Temple, Kasuga Taisha Shrine and of course we spent some time with the deer! A packet of crackers to feed the deer is provided on the tour and if you want to give the deer some more treats (which I did!) you can always buy additional packets from the shops or traders on the street for only 200 Yen. Food for the humans is also provided - we had a delicious traditional Japanese meal in a restaurant. All in all, it was an excellent tour, highly recommended

Hiroko was the best! Meet up location instructions were crystal clear and Hiroko found us right away. She is a masterful conversationalist and infinitely knowledgeable about Nara. We felt very well taken care of and never felt rushed at any location. Lunch was at an authentic hole in the wall restaurant that we would have never been able to find on our own. It included elements that Nara is well known for and delicious sweets as well. We HIGHLY recommend this tour as Nara has rich history that may be a lot to research on your own. Hiroko is clearly passionate about this subject matter and never had issues answering follow up questions we had. Hiroko also was able to leave us with many recommendations for things to do in Nara as we stayed in the city about four additional hours after the tour was over. Thank you Magical Trip for making our trip to Nara so memorable!

I highly recommend this tour in order to see the most important historical buildings of the old capital of Japan . The Deer Park is particularly enchanting, and the great Buddha hall is impressive. Our guide was very patient and friendly. I probably would have liked a little bit more explanation maybe via headphones. At the same time he was very knowledgable and explained things when we asked questions. it was very helpful to have somebody guide us , buy the tickets and the organized lunch was very nice. Nara historic tour represents more what I would consider to be a typical Japanese cultural experience. It is very tranquil and relaxing so certainly at this time of year. Overall, a must see part of any Japan trip.

I took this tour with Eri as the guide and had a great time. We went to all places with amazing views of Nara, learned about the history of Nara, as well as got to interact with lots of deer. Eri is very knowledgeable, friendly, and knows all the great spots for sweets, crafts unique to Nara, and more. The lunch included on the tour was delicious! Overall, I had a great time learning about Nara and exploring the town. If you're in Nara and are looking for a great way to learn about the culture and history - I highly recommend this tour! Eri also took lots of great pictures as we went through the different spots on the itinerary.

Our guide, Shin was amazing! A great tour guide really can turn a rainy day into a full day of fun. He took us to all the famous landmarks of Nara and taught us about the religion and culture. We had so much fun seeing the deers (did you know they vow before getting treats?!?!)

We stopped at a restaurant for lunch where my family tried traditional Japanese cuisine which I’d thought they’d never try if I tried to convince. Shin said to them “Try now and complain later!” Well, they all loved the meal. The tour was interactive and personal. A highly recommended for those who’s there for the first time with tight schedule. If you can request a guide then go with Shin!
