Don't miss your chance to interact with real sumo wrestlers! Learn about the behind-the-scene stories and daily life of a real sumo wrestler while enjoying Chanko nabe (Japanese hot pot). This is also a very rare opportunity to actually wrestle with retired sumo wrestlers.

This tour is held in Asakusa on Monday, and Ryogoku on Thursday. Please check the detail before you book!
  • A behind-the-scenes sumo demonstration in Tokyo, with your own wrestling match
  • Get in-depth information on Japan's national sport
  • Eat like a wrestler: Enjoy a full lunch banquet with chanko nabe (Japanese hot pot)
  • Don a sumo costume for photos and a match with real-life wrestlers
What to Expect
Sumo wrestling has been a mainstay of Japanese sports for more than a millennium. While public matches make for great viewing, you’ll go a step further during this one-of-a-kind, behind-the-scenes adventure, which matches you with a real-life sumo wrestler for your own head-to-head combat session. Perfect for adventure-seekers, or any tourists in search of the perfect travel story, the tour begins with a presentation on the history of sumo and an in-depth explanation of a few key wrestling techniques. You’ll observe three bona fide sumo matches before donning your own costume and entering the ring. Get a chance to pose for souvenir photos and train like an authentic sumo wrestler using the steps you’ve learned. Next, you’ll get paired with a wrestling veteran, who you’ll go toe-to-toe with in a public battle. After working up an appetite, relax with authentic, savory sumo fare, including chanko nabe, a type of rich, calorie-heavy Japanese hot pot, which will be cooked and prepared by former wrestlers.

I really couldn’t tell if this trip is worth going to because we were bluntly cancelled just 1 hour before starting time! I made a reservation, paid, got a confirmation and then just before starting time (we were just about to leave the hotel), we...More

A super fun activity for families. We loved everything about it; the wrestling show, the delicious lunch, and the warm hospitality of the hosts. What was especially memorable is the sumo wrestlers’ humor. The location is super easy to find once you are comfortable with...More

Okay. More suited towards younger kids who will enjoy challenging the sumo wrestlers. Older kids would probably prefer a real sumo match or practice day.

Not good value for money. Place very small and stage area much too small. Would have been better if the ring was in the middle with the table around. As it is if you siting at the back you won’t see much. Audio was awful...More
