A Perfect Blend of the Past and the Future
If you want to experience a slice of history, while also celebrating the modern technology of Japan, this half day guided tour is just for you. Our tour began with an introduction to Yama-san, a local guide who ensured every aspect of our tour was comfortable, safe and highly entertaining. A true gentleman, Yama-san led us to each attraction, always taking care that no one was out of eyesight. We started with the Nagoya castle, where our guide presented us with an easily accessible description of what we were viewing, while also sharing insights on local culture and traditions. After enjoying the remarkable castle and grounds, we journeyed to the Shinkansen museum to learn everything about Japan's most famous trains. Our time was efficiently planned, allowing us to spend enough time at each sight while also having time for gift shopping and other local flavor. A big thank you to Yama-san for making our day very special. Highly recommended!

A very wonderful and full of knowledge tour.
The tour was really good. I learned a lot about Miso , it's benefits and origin. The Miso company's president was very welcoming and kind. He talked about many important facts and history of Nishio.

      Best tea ceremony explanation!🍵
The tour was very fun and the fact that you can see the tea fields as well as how the tea leaves become matcha powder along with a very well explained tea ceremony and a great and kind guide made it a remarkable experience in Japan! Also, it was the best matcha I’ve had in Japan 🍵

      Full experience!
Great experience! We learned not just about the process to make miso and the different miso types, but also about the history of the family that owns the company which I won’t spoil but you’ll be surprised!

The tour of the Toyota Commemorative Museum Industry and Technology and the Noritake Garden and Museum were very informative and interesting. Our guide, Hiro, had a lot of knowledge regarding the two companies and of the Nagoya area. We highly recommend this tour and our guide, Hiro!

      Excellent, luxurious, tented property
The unique tented experience. The outstanding level of genuine hospitality. The efficient management by Abhiraj and Lovleen. All these make Trees & Tigers a wonderful place to stay at Tadoba. I went first in August 2024, then in November 2024 and am going again in January 2025. I highly recommend Trees & Tigers to all who wish to have an exhilarating experience at Tadoba. Abhiraj and Lovleen are expert naturalists too with a detailed knowledge of the forest. It is a pleasure to have them on safaris.

A lovely day tour of the Nagoya
A lovely day tour of the Nagoya Castle and the significant places of Nagoya. Our tour guide, Mrs. Tsuji, was patient, knowledgeable, and give us the storied backgrounds of the many things we saw during the tour. She was also very cheerful and certainly help livened up the cloudy and rainy day that we had. Would certainly recommend her!

      Wonderful experience with mr yama-san
Mr Yama-san was an energetic and jolly conversationalist and lively in explaining things, up to every detail. We had a great time with him. No dull moment at all! He explains all the history of the sights! He took care of us by giving cold packs as it was so hot due to summer! He even gave a simple souvenir to my daughter. As a bonus, we also fed the huge koi fishes in a pond 😊

Great tour with a wonderful guide.
The tour was excellent. We speak only English so it was very helpful to have a guide that could talk to people in Japanese and translate. My son and I learned a lot and loved the experience.

We had such a wonderful day with Makoto-san, he had great knowledge of the area and fun facts along the way that were a great addition to the tour. The scenes were beautiful and we stopped in a lovely noodle place for some delicious lunch. A added bonus was the museum at the end where we heard about the history of the town. We would absolutely recommend this tour, such a great way to see the area and Makoto-san was such a welcoming and knowledgeable guide.

This unique walking tour takes us back to Japan in the old days. We had an excellent guide Ms Takako Tsujimoto who is proficient in English and well prepared. She patiently explained everything on every stop we made and made our group (there were 4 of us) enjoyed so much that we managed to complete the 8km without much difficulty. The tour should not be used if you are keen on Japanese history and culture.

Yayo shared a wealth of contemporary and traditional history knowledge including the Shogun and Samuri era when the Nakasendo Road was one of the main ways to travel between Kyoto and Edo.

She had a great sense of humour and was always pointing out interesting things to see, not just explaining the obvious.

I really enjoyed spending time with Yayo, walking part of, and learning about the Nakasendo Road.

    I highly recommend this tour.

The tour was much more than we could have hoped for or expected. We have lived in Japan for almost 9 years and never knew about the places and sights that we were shown today. The history and tradition behind this tour is more than we could almost fathom. We literally walked on streets that were older than our own country. It was amazing. Our tour guide (Hiro) was very knowledgeable and fun. His English was great. Such a great experience all around.
