After booking an overnight Wadi Rum shore excursion for November 1 - 2 with Jordan Horizons Tours, we were unable to complete the trip. On the evening of October 27, the captain of our cruise ship announced that due to the conflict in Israel and surrounding areas, our ship would not make port in Aqaba due to safety concerns. I immediately emailed our contact at Jordan Horizons Tours, Basma Hayudini, to notify him that we would not arrive Aqaba and needed to cancel our excursion. Even though we were outside the limit for cancelling and receiving a refund, Basma was very cooperative and understanding. He immediately responded that we would be refunded, less an administrative fee. And the credit was on our Visa account within a couple of days. We were extremely disappointed that we were not able to enjoy time in Jordan. Although, we had traveled to this country before, we were looking forward to the overnight star gazing experience in Wadi Rum. Hopefully, we will be able to visit Jordan again and will definitely plan to book future excursions with Jordan Horizons Tours.

This was our second tour with Jordan Horizons and both were excellent. Since we had a great tour with them to Petra a few years ago, we knew we would want to use them again when we wanted to visit Wadi Rum. What a wise decision! 8 wonderful hours. An hour each way from the port in a comfortable vehicle with Abed sharing lots of information. After arriving in the Wadi Rum village we met Ayid, our driver and guide. We filled the 6 hours with a variety of activities, including visiting Lawrence Spring and house, mushroom rock, natural bridges and more. Lots of time for hiking, climbing and exploring at a pace we determined. All in all, an active and very satisfying day.

It was an amazing trip, well organized even the smallest detail. The team of Jordan Horizon accompanied us from Eilat border to every experience. We did sunset jeep tour in Wadi rum, enjoyed the Mazyen Camp food, second day we traveled to Petra with our amazing guide Tania and Abu murad our bus driver. A day excursion from the port of Aqaba visiting Petra and Wadi Rum. Two couples. Ali was our driver and excellent. Picked up on time in nice van. Water available. Separate guide also named Ali in Petra was hungry for extra money. Wanted $75 to detour off the standard route by climbing a small section which was not worth doing. The initial 4wd provided for Wadi Rum was an old diesel and both us and Ali agreed it was unsatisfactory and Ali arranged a much better 4wd from another Bedouin settlement. Communication with JHT was excellent and we can thoroughly recommend paying for an upgrade to have lunch at the Basin restaurant inside Petra.

From start to finish it was a delightful adventure. We are met at the port by our friendly, professional and safe driver. Upon reaching Petra we were met by our very informative tour guide. How he managed to keep track of the 6 of us, I don’t know, but he did. He was very aware of our individual needs and abilities. The lunch after the tour was excellent. Absolutely unforgettable experience that was perfect from beginning to end! I can unconditionally recommend Jordan Horizon Tours for anyone seeking a trip from Aqaba to Petra / Wadi Rum. The communication and planning were outstanding from the start. The tour and driver were at the ship at the agreed time. The driver was very knowledgable about the area and extremely friendly and knowledgeable. He arranged to a competent guide in Petra, which allowed for an efficient visit. The included lunch was excellent in a local restaurant. But the most unforgettable part of the journey was the trip to Wadi Rum and riding a camel. This wasn't the tourist trap ride, but a genuine trip with Bedouins. I can only give JHT the highest rating and recommendation!

Absolutely amazing 12 hours tour. The bus was on time at 7 am to take from the cruise ship Island Princess to Petra. Our Guide was Yasser (I hope I spell his name correctly). Yasser was a very good guide, very knowledgeable about the history as well as the local fauna and flora. Many times he stopped and showed us local plants and made us smell them as well as eat them when appropriate. He also stopped the bus when we wanted to take photos. First stop was at the Petra entrance after a two hour drive with a stop in between for bathroom use. At Petra some of our group took the golf cart to the treasury while some of us walked down. The walk was very pleasant since in the mornings in March the air temperature is not too hot. At the Treasury we spent about 45 minutes taking photos including a bathroom stop. We are too old for any other activity and while others went up on steep trails we just enjoyed the day. We then walked back uphill. The walk in the shade was good but once we reached the open air, it was hot and we stopped a few times to rest and drink water. At one pm we went to a hotel for lunch. Very good, I mostly ate veggies but I also tried the lamb that was very good. I had a Bavarian beer with no alcohol. After lunch we drove to Wadi Rum where we had a two hours ride on a Toyota truck in the desert. On the way we asked to stop at a store to purchase some presents. Even if t was a state sponsored store, they bargained. We paid with Apple pay. Amazing experience, we stopped at four locations including one area where nearby the filmed the movie The Martian, a location where there were Petroglifics, and a camp where Lawrence of Arabia resided for a few months. Finally after one more hour of driving we arrived at the ship. It was the end of the first day of Ramadan and we offered food to the driver and guide. 7 PM, end of a perfect day.

I highly recommend this tour to Petra and Wadi Rum. Our group size was small which made all the difference! The guide, Mohammed Mugrabi was knowledgeable but more importantly he took the time to connect with each of us. All of our questions were valued and answered thoroughly. The tour went off without a hitch. We were back to our cruise ship on time and feeling very satisfied and happy with the amazing experience! We also had an excellent driver, a comfortable bus, and a delicious buffet lunch. I highly recommend this tour.
