Great trip! Awesome video! Great People!
This was a great experience! The guides were great and made the experience so much fun. We hit some killer rapids (because we wanted to be more aggressive as a group) and had a ton of fun. They also create and sent an awesome video so you can share it with friends and family.

          Amazing river rafting!!!!
My experience white river rafting with Bundu was the best activity of all my activities during my stay in Livingstone!! I went solo spontaneously and the team welcomed me to join - they were very well prepared and professional- they prepared and informed us of what to do and what not very well before and even under the whole rafting - the communication and safety was great - i felt so safe - I had so much fun - during the rafting they told some history about the area and the animals - we stopped for a break in the middle - and to get some water to drink - when we reached some points where it was safe - we got the opportunity to swim in the zambezi river - it was amazing! Afterwards they served us good lunch and beverages - I highly highly recommend this team! I will definitely be back for the longer rafting - team Bundu ♥️♥️♥️

          Incredible adventure and amazing crew!
I cannot say enough good things about our 5 day trip from #1 all the way down the Zambezi. While the Botoka Gorge deeply cut basalt gorge speaks for it's self, the whitewater thrilling, it's really the crew that makes the difference on such a long multi-day trip. Kevias Zulu (our TL) was incredible both in his leading, guiding us safely, knowledge or the area, and his amazing story telling. This guy trains Oars Guides (look them up) when they come down to do the Zam and will be leading the first source-to-sea trip of the Zambezi over a 6 month period (so book soon to get this OG). Big Ben (our Gear Boat captain and backcountry chef) is a true legend. From pushing a fully loaded gear boat (with all of our supplies) for six days down huge Class IVs and Vs, chef-ing it up with incredible local meals (3-times-per-day), and keeping the party going at camp; he really did it all. Ben is the kinda guy that you'd be lucky to do a 21 day Grand Canyon trip with. Windus aka Shema Man (our Safety Kayaker and Shem Chef) was just incredible to watch. He was always in the right eddy in-case something happened to us in the raft. The one time I did fall out on The Mother, he was right there almost immediately. Windus is an incredible man and even better kayaker; it was a true pleasure getting to spend time with him on the river. Also, I bet you can't dance better than Windus. Jericho and July (our Porters and Fisherman) were always the most thoughtful and hard-working on the river. Whether it was loading and unloading the gear-boat daily, portaging 150m+ around some gnarly falls, or setting up tents in the rain. The trip wouldn't have been the same without them. Book your next trip with Bundu and ask for Kevias, Big Ben, Windus, Jericho, and July :-)

          Super professional team !!
We had a half day tour with the guys from Bundu and it was great ! Super helpfull and friendly. My wife was a little bit scared about the downhill trail to the river. They took all the time and patience tohelp her and all went good. In the river we did some training moves before we started. We felt that everything was under controll and nothing to be scared of. We are a couple of 61 and 56 years old, in good condition, but still…. . The river experience was marvelous and something we will never forget. Enough adrenaline to be excited, but not too much to be afraid. We can recommend the team of Bundu to everyone and you are never too old for Bundu adventures. We were pickup by the helicopter after rapid 10. If you can afford it , you should really book this rafting-helicopter combi. Just amazing !!

          Beware of the ascent/descent
This trip is not as sold - we booked this as a relaxing afternoon rafting and swimming, however we spent 90% of the time rock scrambling down steep rocks with no footholds on a cliff edge, similar to via ferratas. Our group suffered falls, twisted knees, ankles, cuts, bruises and we are a group of sub30 year olds. About 60 seconds of rafting then more rock climbing over wet and mossy rocks until you get to the pool. No food provided even though activity is over lunchtime for 3+ hours. Scenery is unreal, very beautiful and a different angle to see the falls. Staff however were brilliant with helping as I spent most of it petrified of falling, they carried my helmet and oar and were lovely people. My husband loved this as very adventurous and risky. Please just be advised that this is a challenging activity, very physical and ruthless terrain.

          Amazing team, amazing experience
The team were experts, and made sure everything was incredibly safe and fun. I’d been on the fence about rafting, but it ended up being one of my favorite experiences during our week in Livingstone.

My friend and I had a great time rafting with the guys of Bundu. The day started by spending time at the base of the Falls climbing over rocks and swimming in a pool. We then spent the entire day rafting through 21 rapids (plus many "freebies") where we flipped twice. Our guide gave us a lot of time to swim in the river, too, while we were making our way between rapids. It was an exhilarating trip that never made us feel unsafe. The guys at Bundu are great! I highly recommend doing your tour with Bundu on the Zambian side, especially since you get the extra experience of swimming under the Falls!

We had a spectacular time experiencing the 'Mighty Zambezi' up close and personal with the wonderful guys from Bundu. Swimming under the falls and in between rapids, one flip. It was a wonderful and exhilarating day! Highly recommended!

Thanks so much for taking your time to write this excellent review, we really appreciate and are chuffed to hear that you enjoyed the Swimming under the Victoria Falls and the Zambezi rafting trip with us! It is the perfect time to raft the Zambezi - big rapids and the scenery is so nice now as the vegetation in the Batoka gorge is lush and green. Hope to see you soon again!

I have to say I was nervous as my husband booked this as a surprise for me... however, the team who looked after us were second to none. It's not for the faint hearted - steep climbs down to and back from the river but totally worth it. Our guide Kendall (K) was superb - I felt in really safe hands with him....and in fact when I fell out at Rapid 3 (a cat 4 I think) the rescue canoeist Windass was there immediately. I relaxed into the fun and we had such a fun day - a whole day isn't too long ...we had a little lunch on the raft with water and juice and carried on....beautiful scenery and weather . Many thanks to Ben who pulled me out several times - fantastic fun!

I am SO glad we signed up for this activity!!! There were only two of us and they didn't cancel. They found two guides to balance out the boat. First we hiked to swim under the falls. Seriously if you're clumsy or easily tired, think twice. The half day tour was perfect and we felt completely safe with the expertise of the guides (they explained their certification process and it's VERY thorough) and educated us on the river difficulty in various water levels. They provided water too which is really important in the dry heat. We flipped near the end, and I got some big drinks of the mighty Zambezi!!! It's the best WWR trip I've ever taken. Just be warned, you will pay for your fun with the exhausting trip back up. They will stop for you though so don't let your pride kill ya :) ENJOY!!!

Such a fun day, we did flip the boat and I also fell in at another rapid but was amazing fun. Quite a physical challenge getting in and out of the gorge and being on the river for I reckon around 5 hours on the full day tour. I was the only person in the afternoon as everyone else on my boat just did the half day but a few locals jumped in and we had a great laugh.

This is a lifetime bucket list trip! It's an absolute insane thrill of a lifetime. I'm still getting physical therapy on my back two months later - no joke! But I'd do it again in a flash. I'm 66 years old, and my 62 year old wife joined, along with my 25 year old son and his buddy. Both boys are world class professional fishing captains, and we had spent the previous week fishing on the lower Zambezi River for tigerfish and giant vindu. But we were also looking for adventure up at Victoria Falls and we sure found it. After jumping into Devil's Pool at the top of the Falls and leaning over the edge -- another bucket list item -- the next morning we were picked up at our hotel and taken by Bundu Adventures to the top of the river gorge at the national park. There, we were given a very thorough preparatory talk and outfitted with a life preserver, helmet, and paddle. We then set out down the stairs to the river which the guides assured us was only a couple of minutes away. BEWARE, this is a pretty gross understatement, at least during the low water season. The hike down to the bottom of the gorge is not too bad, although it was 100 degrees outside and it's very humid because you're in the river gorge. Bring plenty of water. That hike, mostly down cement steps, takes about 15 minutes. Then things get a bit hairy. If you want to paddle at the base of the Falls -- and you don't want to miss this because you also get to swim in the river up there -- you've got to hike about 1/2 mile upstream along the bank. The bank at low water is about 20-40 feet above water level and consists of endless jagged boulders that have eroded from the cliffs over the eons and fallen to the bottom. So it's not a walk -- it's scrambling over these jagged rocks in 100 degree heat and 100% humidity. When you're a heavy, 66 year old this is not an easy "walk in the park." I certainly struggled, needed lots of water, and eventually, help from the guides along the particularly dangerous last section where there were iron hand holds in the cliff and ropes that you needed to hold onto. But I made it to the boarding point where you basically had to drop 10 feet into the raft. I COLLAPSED INTO THE RAFT, BUT IT WAS WORTH IT! First, the guide rowed us upstream underneath the cataracts. That's pretty insane to be at the very base of the largest waterfall in the world. Then we floated by a giant pool where we were offered the opportunity to swim in an area supposedly free from Nile crocodiles. Since it was so far upstream past all the rapids, the crocs are said not to get up this far. I deferred. Then, the rapids began. What a wild wild experience. The rapids range from Class III to Class VI, but the Class VI rapid is called "Commercial Suicide," and no raft has ever taken people down it. Basically, you'd die in a commercial raft. A very few kayakers have made it through. Everyone portages around this absurdly dangerous rapid. Most of the rapids are Class V and Class IV. Our guide was ridiculously talented -- probably one of the world's best white water rafting guides. It was a joy to watch him take us through these unwordly rapids. We were accompanied by rescue kayaker, also supremely talented, who was having the time of his life Eskimo rolling through the world's fiercest rapids. And a videographer accompanied us in a second kayak. We were not allowed to use our cameras or cell phones. The guides know all too well that we'd have destroyed or lost all our cameras in the rapids. So Bundu provides everyone with a professional 6 minute long video that they email you a couple of days after the trip. It's a lifelong conversation piece. The rapids were terrifying and exhilarating. We made it through all without flipping -- that's considered very good (there's a 50/50 chance of flipping in any of the major rapids. At the end of the trip, at the base of the gorge, Bundu provides a lovely spread of food and drink. Then you have the un-Godly option of hiking out -- or you can upgrade and take a three person helicopter ride from the base of the gorge back to the Bundu headquarters. The pilot will fly you over the Falls for another bucket list trip. SPRING FOR THE HELICOPTER RIDE OUT. The pilot is absolutely amazing. The view is astonishing. And you will not have a heart attack climbing out of the gorge. When I was at the border station crossing into Zimbabwe, I met a late 20s woman who said she is a professional whitewater rafting guide in Colorado. That means she runs the Colorado River and other big water, and she was in superb physical condition. She said the hike out from the base of the gorge was one of the most horrible climbs of her life and SHE THOUGHT SHE WAS GOING TO DIE. So there you have it. Bundu runs an absolutely TOP NOTCH OPERATION. Safety was the primary consideration at all times. The guides are wonderful people, very caring, and very talented. BE SURE TO TIP THEM at the end. as well as the porters who carry out the raft and who bring down the food and drinks and pack out the garbage at the end. They all work extremely hard for low pay. They support large families, and tips really really help. BE GENEROUS, AND ENJOY THE TIME OF YOUR LIFE!

Everything felt very safe and professional. The guides were good, and it looked as they knew what they was doing. Also liked that if you get ingrid they pick you ut by helicopter, but luckily now one needed that.
