Your guide will meet you in Izmir; there is 1 hour driving to Ephesus area. We will first visit Ephesus (we usually spend about 2 hours there); afterwards, depending on your interests and available time, you can have lunch and then visit other sites in the area: House of Virgin Mary, Temple of Artemis, Basilica of St. John, Ephesus indoor Museum and Terrace Houses. This is a private tour so you can decide about the itinerary. We do not limit your time for sightseeing. At the end of the tour we will drop you off to Izmir.

Excellent tour of Turkey with Ertunga Ecir
My husband and I had a really magnificent trip on a private tour of Turkey with Ertunga Ecir. We started in Ankara and traveled to Capaddocia, the Aegean region for the Seven Churches of Revelation tour and finally to Istanbul. Every part of the trip was well planned, and the vehicles and meals provided were also excellent. Ertunga himself was our guide for the Seven Churches tour. He has a vast knowledge of the historical background of each ancient site. It was also wonderful we could read from the Book of Revelation describing the conditions of the church in each city. Apart from being a great guide, Ertunga is also very unassuming and humble, a really nice person overall! We highly recommend those planning a trip to Turkey to travel with Ertunga Ecir.

          A+ for Ertunga
I must say that our experience in the 15-day private tour with Ertunga Ecir was excellent. Ertunga was exceptional. He is very knowledgeable of all the history and best places in Turkey. The historical places he took them were simply amazing. He even took us to some not-so-known but no-less great places the tour schedule did not were scheduled. We were very satisfied of all the hotels were included in the tour. All the hotels included full breakfast and many dinners as well. He took us to great little restaurants (also included daily) to got to enjoy and learn of the wonderful Turkish food. He simply went his way to make sure we had an unforgettable vacation. I must also say that his whole team did a great job. From the diver, always polite and cautious while driving, to his wife Maria, who showed up at the hotel when we near her area, to see us and say hello. If you want the best tour inTurkey, I highly recommend to contact Ertunga. Thank you so much.

Awesome 7 churches of Revelation private tour experience..highly recommended!!
We had a 5 days private historic and biblical tour of the seven churches of Revelation and the experience was excellent. Our tour guide Mr.Umut and our driver Mr.Esref We went on a tour to Ephesus with a church group before but going on a private tour trip like this was way better than I expected. We take our time and still able to finish the tour as scheduled and didn’t miss anything. The private tour was well organized by Maria Ertunga. It was a very informative and learning experience trip to these seven churches from the Book of Revelation in the Bible. Visiting these churches in person and visually witnessing the scriptures being revealed by Christ to the apostle John was very real and overwhelming ! Umut gave us a lot of interesting historic and archaeological facts about these places and it was a privilege and joy to read the scripture passages together in these churches. Umut was very knowledgeable and helpful explained in great detail which gave us a more meaningful biblical experience ! Thank you Umut for giving us a wonderful cultural journey through this part of Turkiye and we tasted some authentic Turkish cuisine. We also like the accommodation and arrangements during this trip as well. Thank you Maria Ecir for making it possible. On the last day of our tour we also meet Mr Ertunga in person and check in to make sure we’re please which was very nice. Thank you also to our driver Esref for safely driving us around during our travel. We highly recommend TURKEY PRIVATE TOURS BY ERTUNGA ECIR for an excellent tour biblical experience.

          Amazing 10 days in Turkey
The 10 days trip was the most amazing and stress free vacation we have experienced. Big thanks to Felicity travel, Ertunga and Maria! Their team of professional tour guide, starting from Nilay in Cappadocia, Ertunga in Ephesus & Pamukkale and Yunus in Istanbul took a very good care of us. We especially loved the food arrangements with Nilay, scheduled places and flexibility with Ertunga, and last but not least from being a tourist to experiencing a local life with Yunus in Istanbul has made us fall in love with Turkey even more. Thank you for the friendship and care that you have shown us, we really appreciate it. We will be back for the balloon rides and more...

Best Private tour company in Turkey - Felicity Travel
Felicity Travel is absolutely amazing! As a travel professional, I found Ertunga and Maria to be two of the best tour operators I have ever worked with. The whole 10 days were impeccably perfect. They made sure they paid attention to all the details and we on top of all our experiences. Hotel choices were perfect. Our guides Tuna and Umit in Istanbul and Cappadocia were outstanding. Then to have Ertunga for the last 3 days on the coast was perfect. I would highly recommend Felicity Travel for private tours in Turkey. Having never been to this region before, we felt completely safe the entire time. Food choices were perfect and every excursion exceeded our expectations.

          Superb experience ever!!
one of the best guided trip i’ve ever experienced! Oscar was very attentive to our group, his flexible, approachable and knowledgeable about the seven churches. He looked after all of us from the moment we arrived at our hotel to giving us choices for our food preference for our meals. He’s blend in / adopted very well to our ways! We had a good laugh throughout our trip on top of all the knowledge he shared with us! I would definitely recommend him to any of our friends who would like to experience the Seven churches in Revelation - it’s a nice learning with beautiful scenery without any boring / dull moments - to sum up in one word Oscar is an EXCELLENT guide! Thank you. Hopefully you can guide us again next year!

Felicity Travel - an amazing experience
Turkey was surprising on every level. This is thanks to Felicity Travel! Their organisation of the tour; the variety and flexibility of the experiences we had from, hiking the beautiful Ihlara Valley, to the many amazing historical sites such as Ephesus to the unbelievable Goreme Valley cave churches; the comfortable travel they offered; the 4 star accommodation; outstanding genuine Turkish restaurants all were outstanding. But none of this would have mattered had we not had our amazing guide....Tuna. His easy manner made him very easy to connect with. Because it was a private tour we could and did talk to him often even while traveling. We felt got the real Turkish experience. Erschev was our driver was a lovely, very happy chap. See the photo below. I have told many people about our Turkish experience. At least one set of friends want to do the same 12 Day Private Tour that we did, next year. So I can happily recommend Felicity Travel to others because of the amazing Turkish experience we had.

Fascinating insights on a well curated tour in a completely safe environment
We had the privilege of having Ertunga as our private guide for 10 days around the fascinating sites of western Turkey. His historical insights and particularly his theological knowledge made such a difference to our enjoyment and understanding of the sights we visited. His drivers were polite, punctual and made us feel completely safe in their care. Nothing was a problem, they solved problems, were flexible to our needs and were fun to be with. A great guide company which we thoroughly recommend.

Our tour guide, Umut, exceeded our expectations. He always gives annoverview of what to expect and asks us what we would like to do. He shows very good knowledge about Izmir and the places we visited such as Ephesus, the Basilica of St. John, and the House of Motger Mary. He also brought us to a good local restaurant serving authentic local dishes, and even made recommendations to help us order. He also asks us which stores we are interested to visit such as the leather and carpet stores. Overall, he set a good pace and is mindful of his clients’ needs. We are very much satisfied with his service and would highly recommend getting him as your tour guide here in Izmir, Turkiye.

My wife and I were travelling with another couple. We were picked up by our guide (I'm sorry I can't remember her name) at the Izmir cruise port, and carried by her and driver all day in a comfortable private van until we said we had seen enough. She was warm and friendly, well educated on all subjects, and her English was excellent. We toured Ephesus in its entirety, and stopped at a village store to sample some authentic Turkish Delight and Baklava. We had a trip to the house of Virgin Mary then had lunch at a local open air restaurant where we were welcomed by the friendly staff clearly happy we stopped in. Our last stop was a tour of a facility where authentic Turkish rugs are made by hand.

We had a great day tour with our guide, Umut. Before we even left the hotel, he explained the places we could visit and that the itinerary is up to us. He has been very helpful in making our choices. For example, when we bought tickets to Ephesus, he asked us which places we want to visit so he could suggest ways to save money. He ensures that our tour needs are taken cared of - whether it’s about the need to stop for breaks along the way, making syre we had water and drinks at the car, choosing a good local restaurant and stores where he himself would take his family. This also makes us feel that, in some way, he shows he cares for his clients. Thiugh it is iur first time in Turkey, Umut has made our experience so memorable and enjoyable such that we would want to visit again and also get him as our tour guide.

In short: Highly recommened itinerary of Ephesus, Basilica of St John, House of Mother Mary and highly recommended tour guide, Ulut.

A big thank you to our guide Ozgur, we had a great day out with you!

        Our Itinerary:

        1. Ephesus
        2. Terraced Houses
        3. Ephesus Archaeological Museum
        4. Temple of Artemis
        5. Basilica of St. John

Our guide Ozgur met us in our hotel lobby at 08:30, on the drive to Ephesus he helped us plan our Itinerary, simple things like drinking water, and a toilet stop on the way were appreciated. Ephesus is superb, we had a great time listening to Ozgur and asking him questions, his English was great, we leant a lot. Also, a big thanks for helping us fit everything in and not stopping for lunch!

Thank you also to our driver Vecdi for getting us around safely!

I would certainly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Izmir.

This tour was perfect. Umut picked us up for our hotel in Izmir. We toured Ancient Ephesus all morning. Umut was very knowledgeable about the area and made a point to show us all the sights. While also allowing us time to explore. He was engaged and spoke very good English. Highly recommend him for a guide.

In the afternoon we went to lunch, the Ephesus museum, and a short tour of the temple of Artemus. Lunch was delicious. The museum tour was so helpful to understand how things must have looked in Ephesus. The temple tour definitely clarified the reason it was an ancient wonder of the world.

I would highly recommend any tour with Umut and the whole Felicity Travel team!!!!! I booked it 5 days before we arrived and they were so accommodating!

We really enjoyed the private tour of Ephesus (Efes). The whole tour included a visit to the house of Mary and the tomb/church of St. John along with a stop at a rug manufacturing shop (you can ask the guide to skip this if you want). Of course, the highlight was the ruins of Ephesus and the library of Celsus which, although crowded with other tourists, was still a sight to behold. Our tour guide, Uhmet, was very knowledgeable and having a private guide allowed us to hear the details better and gave us the flexibility to stay in 1 site longer if we chose to do so. The terrace houses was worth the extra entrance fee. Avoid visiting in the hot months- more tourists and there is little cover from the heat.

We have done private tours before and they tend to be really good or barely average. Thankfully this tour was great. The guide was very knowledgeable about Ephesus , but also the other sites we added as Tuna and Sabo were very accommodating and willingly put in a long day to allow us to see everything we wanted to see. Highly recommend.

This was my 5th tour of Ephesus and the House of the Virgin Mary and by far my favorite tour for the following reasons:

By far the main reason is that Ertunga Ecir is the best Tour Guide that I have ever had anywhere. He has an incredible depth of knowledge of the history and culture of Turkey and he has a easy and relatable manner. His first career was a school teacher, so maybe this gave him some tools that allow him to explain a narrative at any level of detail based on his audience.
My family of 6 ranged from my wife who grew up in Izmir to my 2 grandchildren 14yrs & 19yrs and their parents. We all thought him very interesting with thoughtful insight. It was our pleasure to have his company!

This was a private tour with just my family of 6.

He was very agreeable to designing the tour to our specific requests of timing and what we wanted to see.

I would very highly recommend Ertunga Ecir as a tour guide anywhere in Turkey.

We had amazing time touring ancient Ephesus. They picked us up at our hotel and gave us an in depth tour of the city. Our guide, Umut, was so knowledgeable. He also had plenty of water to keep us hydrated. They took us to a restaurant to eat a smorgasbord of local Turkish food for lunch. We also opted for the Ephesus museum and Artemis Temple. So glad we did this!
