About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- 723maaikek0 contributionsGreat experience!Assad was really great, he took very good care of us and he went above and beyond to show us all the animals on the Serengeti and Ngorogoro. We saw so many lions and even cheeta’s and black rhinos. The tour was very well organized and the food was amazing.Written 16 January 2025
- Фатих К0 contributionsvery good.Everything was great. Driver was experienced, food was very tasty. Nothing to complain about. Everything was well organized.Written 12 January 2025
- 637ie0 contributionsGreat Safari Tour CompanyWe were warmly welcomed by the organiser of the safari, Assad. He met us prior to the safari and gave us a briefing of what the days would entail. The safari went well, there was a good supply of drinks (alcohol and non alcohol) and food was provided (picnic at lunch). We were particularly impressed with the organiser because he met us and also sought our feedback at the end of the safari. We enjoyed the safari and would highly recommend this company, with thanks to Assad.Written 30 December 2024
- ThisPlus870 contributionsThe best safari company! We have just completed an epic few days of safari with Assad from Pazuri Porini safaris. Our experience with this company and with Assad was the best we could ever ask for and it was the best safari we have ever done, I would highly recommend everyone to book with Assad without any hesitation. Everything from the beginning to end was organised professionally and in a friendly way, all my questions during our initial communications through whatsapp were answered in great detail and Assad even suggested amendments to my initial plan to make sure we have the best experience possible according to the time of year and the animal movements. Because of his excellent knowledge and suggestions we saw everything we wanted to see from our safari in Ndutu south Serengeti and Ngorongoro crater, including all of the big 5, the great wildebeest migration, and even saw rare sightings of leopard and cheetah with their cubs. During the safari Assad was always on the lookout for the highlights of things to see, equipped with his binoculars and could spot rare animals and their movements from so far away that we would otherwise never even notice, and made sure to drive us towards the most strategic positions to se them up close and ensure we get the best possible views of all the animals. During our game drives we were always in the best positions to capture the movements and take great photos of the animals, while most of the other cars didn't see what we were able to see because they were not in the optimal viewing position like we were. Not only a great driver but Assad also gave us so much information about the animals and was able to answer every curious question we had about them, about their behaviours, life cycle, diet, and so many other details, not only just about the animals but the masai tribes who live among them and also the trees and landscape around us. The safari vehicle we were in was very comfortable and clean, and came stocked with plenty of cold drinks in the cooler to keep us hydrated during the drives. The meals we ate in the lodge as well as the packed hot lunches were all excellent and tasty. We have no complaints about anything and highly recommend this company to all potential guestsWritten 28 February 2024
- Roby_5090 contributionsAssad is the best safari organizer!Assad is the best Safari organizer. He took care of us from the moment we decided to book the safari up to the last day we stayed in Arusha. He came personally to the hotel to explain us about the trip, making sure that we were ready for the most exiting experience of our lives. We strongly suggest this safari tour, very friendly and caring.Written 6 November 2023
- giovannibZ3138CH0 contributionsThe best guide everMy girlfriend and I went last summer to Serengeti and ngoro ngoro and Assad was our driver but he is an excellent guide. He was able to spot all animals in advance letting us see them easily and explaining their habits and other things I didn’t know. He is a kind person and always available. He speaks English very well and he is always clear and explains everything very well. Thanks to him, the safari was special and without him it hadn’t been the same. I would highly recommend him. He will try to teach you swahili!Written 18 October 2023
- nicow5330 contributionsPerfect TripWe went on a camping safari and really enjoyed the time very much. You need to know that the transfer time from Arusha to the national parks takes a long time (around 3,5 h). And also the transfer time between the national parks takes some time. A good safari experience highly depends on the guide you have with you. Our guides name was Assad and he was a fantastic guide for us. He has a big knowledge of the animals and the whole Serengeti and other national parks as he es doing the job for 9 years now. It felt like he is still impressed by the wild life and loves spending time there. Also a very nice and friendly cook joined our trip and did an excellent job. The food was always fresh and delicious and he considered any allergy or extra wish of anyone in the group. Ahsante sana, you two!Written 27 September 2023
- Lourdes D0 contributionsAmazing experienceIt was an incredible experience and our guide Assad was very friendly, professional and always available to show us all the animals possible to take the best photographs. He is very kind and it is clear that he knows the place very well, he allowed us to enjoy our trip and I am sure that we will not forget this incredible adventure in our entire livesWritten 25 September 2023
- K3974KTmelaniek0 contributionsGreat safari with an amazing tourguideWe did a 3 day Safari. Two of the three days we spent with the tourguide Assad. He was so kind and you can really tell that he loves what he does! Beside that he always told us a lot of interessting facts about the animals we saw. And no matter what question we asked, he was always able to answer everything. He was really ambitioned to show us all the different species of africas animals. All in all we would really recommend the safari, because it was a big adventure we will remember our whole life!Written 20 September 2023
- loritaa20160 contributionsMust doI had one of the greatest experiences in my life. So happy to see the incredible animal life around the 2 national parks. Thousands of zebras, wildebeest, antílopes on their migration activity. More than 20 lions, elephants, giraffes, etc..: We were lucky to see almost everything we expected thanks to the dedicated work of Assad who was always looking for good view spots and worried about every detail. Food was incredible tasty, thanks to Rich, a wonderful cook.Written 20 September 2023
- adesai240 contributionsTanzanian wonderful wildlifeWe traveled with Assad in his 4 wud, his guide man ship is beyond comparison. Keen observer of all natural things in the park. We observed all gods creatures. The hospitality is beyond comparison at Bomo Siricata and Serena props. Thanks to Assad. Punctual and maintains the vehicle without worry.Written 5 September 2023
- summerip8260 contributionsPerfect Safari guide! This was my dream trip to see the great migration of animals. I was surprised to meet Assad, a super nice, humorous, careful and considerate tour guide. His driving skills are very good. He looked for animals on the grassland for us. Fortunately, we saw the process of cheetah hunting. It was very exciting and unforgettable. Assad introduced animals for us while driving. He was very detailed and interesting, as if he was telling a story. His driving skills were very good and made people feel safe. Assad seized the opportunity and perspective to show us the process of the great migration of animals, which is very exciting. The tour guide Assad is really the best tour guide, helping and caring for others along the way. If you come to Tanzania for a tour, you must look for Assad. I'm already looking forward to taking a tour with Assad the next time I have the opportunity to travel to Tanzania.Written 30 August 2023
- 425yiwenh0 contributionsTaiwanese on their first safari in TanzaniaDuring 4 days of safari in Tanzania! It’s amazing experiences! I used to see animals in zoos, but when I came to Tanzania's national parks, I was truly touched by the power of life. A good tour guide can enrich your trip, thanks to Assad!Written 29 August 2023
- Pop7300 contributionsGreat 2 trip to Tarangire and NgorongoroWorking with Assad was an easy and great experience. Communication was smooth went setting up transportation to and from airport for my two day safari. Overall a great experience. I will return to visit Serengeti with Assad.Written 3 August 2023
- Kym and Shane V0 contributionsWhen local knowledge and attention to detail count, trust Assad from Pazuri Porini Safaris! What an incredible 8 day/9 night experience! We were fortunate to see and experience all that makes Tanzania such a fabulous destination. Of course, this didn't happen without the amazing work of our guide Assad (and his father Aly, who is a superstar tour guide in Tanzania). Every part of the expedition was handled by Assad perfectly. Each night, the itinery for the next day was discussed and amended if we felt the need. All of the hotels, lodges and tented accommodation were immaculately clean, hospitable and located in the heart of each region. Yes, the driving is sometimes rough. Yes you will be covered in dust after most days. Yes, you will spend long periods of time straining your eyes to spot that elusive cheetah or leopard. (We saw both on day 1). Yes you will eat great food every day that was often the envy of other tourists who's guides were less thoughtful. Yes you will see places and wildlife most of the other tourism companies don't offer. In fact, when discussing the day's events over dinner/drinks each night at different places, NONE of the other tourists we encountered had been as fortunate as we were. Assad seems to have a gift for being in the right place at the right time. Not once. All the time! All the images attached to this review were taken with a phone camera. That's how intimate the experience was. I would like to thank Assad ( and Aly) for the best holiday experience we have ever had. Was it the cheapest? Probably not, but it was real, carefully planned, cautiously driven and expertly narrated. To us, that makes Pazuri Porini Safaris the best value option in Tanzania. We are still smiling 3 days after...Written 10 June 2023

Assad took us to these gorgeous hot springs and waterfalls. Had the most relaxed and fun afternoon with great company. Assad is a great driver and was always happy to stop at places that we wanted to stop at for either pictures or to buy something from a road stall. I can't recommend this travel agency enough! Assad will take great care of you and make sure you have the best trip with everything that you need and by always making sure you feel comfortable. He is very good at answering any questions you might have and will always get back to you very quickly with the information you need. I will continue to use Pazuri Porini safaris for my other trips and already know that they will all be magical and worth every penny.

Our guide was amazing and took care of every little detail throughout the day. Not only was he kind and knowledgeable, but he was respectful and made my friends and I (all young females) feel incredibly safe. He brought bottled water to ensure we had enough for the hike, brought us bananas from a local family, and washed out muddy shoes while we swam in the hot spring. I would definitely recommend!!

First of all, I should mention that the advertised price for this tour is 83 pounds but I was charged the equivalent of about 115 pounds per person (we were two people) paid in local currency (I am a resident). Despite the higher price, I booked this company because it was recommended by a friend. I assumed we would be getting first class treatment for that price, but in the end I feel I was taken advantage of...
Plus side: The waterfall and hot springs are definitely worth visiting. The coffee tour was fun and the food was really good. The guide was friendly and knowledgeable.
Negative side: We were picked up 1/2 hour late with no notification and the driver/guide had been changed. The car was literally falling apart - seat belts didn't work, back windows didn't work, A/C blew dust on us and our food when it was turned on and never got cold... front windows were kept open instead, but this meant we got completely covered in dust. The car also sounded like the engine needed repairs.
Overall, this tour is worth doing, but I'd suggest a company that puts more care into your transportation and doesn't overcharge you.

Directly for my arrival day I had booked a tour to the Kikuletwa Hotsprings and was totally thrilled! I was picked up at Kilimanjaro airport and driven to the springs. The way there is very bumpy, which is why you need at least 1 hour's journey time should be allowed. At the springs you can borrow a swimming hoop for a small fee, there is a toilet where you can change and a few stalls that offer food.
The sources themselves are absolutely fantastic! It was really good to swim and cool off after the long flight!

Despite the rainy weather, Nasri helped create a very memorable experience. There was lots of great conversation and laughter. Nasri let us take our time - pole pole - at each location without rushing us. This gave me plenty of time to finally learn how to do backflips off the swing at the hot springs. During the hike to the falls one member in our group had shoes that were not great in the rain and mud ( he was basically slipping the entire time.) Two kids joined us and brought him walking sticks and Nasri took off his shoes and let him use them so he wouldn’t fall as much.
The coffee tour was culturally fun and I’m not a fan of coffee but I actually bought some for myself because it was so good!
He was also our driver and due to a delay waited 7hrs for us at JRO airport!
Although each experience was enjoyable I do not think I would have loved it as much as I did had Nasri not been our guide. He has a huge heart and I’m happy to leave TZ with him as a friend❤️

We had such a great time on this trip. Yusuph had such great energy and arrived promptly to collect us. He shared lots of interesting information with us and even helped me to locate a charger for my phone. He took some amazing photographs for us that we will treasure forever. The coffee making was great fun and it tasted amazing. The cute dogs were an added bonus and it was lovely to see the local people taking great care of them. The hot springs were a perfect way to finish off the day and relax after the breathtaking hike. Thank you for a great trip Yusuph, you were the best tour guide we have had!

Overall fun and diverse tour. My fave was the hot springs, but I love clear warm water. Hike to waterfalls was nice, with some information along the way. Coffee tour felt a little rushed and routine, but fascinating to see coffee processed in this primitive low-tech way. The lunch was surprisingly tasty and scrumptious.
