From the safe shallow waters of this beautiful soda lake you will paddle silently along the shoreline in a two-man canoes; drifting past buffalo, giraffe and elephant that gather along the banks and walloping hippo and fabulous aquatic bird life that are in the water. Day 2: Day 2: Lake Manyara National Park – Serengeti National Park

After breakfast you will drive to the Lake Ndutu area, situated in the Ngorongoro conservation area. Ndutu is part of the southern Serengeti ecosystem and like most rift lakes, is alkaline but still drinkable and consumed by a wide array of local wildlife. Every year, between November and December, the wildebeest herds are returning to the Serengeti from the Maasai Mara, passing along the Central Serengeti and crossing over to the Ndutu plains. This is where the breeding and calving season begins and goes on from December through the months of March and April. Every year roughly a million wildebeest gather on the short grass plains of the Southern Serengeti to give birth. This phenomenal spectacle should not to be missed. During the breeding and calving season literally tens of thousands of young wildebeest are born by the end of the season. Your day will be filled viewing this amazing life cycle. Later in the evening you will return to camp for dinner and your overnight stay.

The area predators and scavengers alike engage in a rare feast of easily attainable meals; provided by the newly born calves that stray from their mothers. Many other big game follow the migration herds making Ndutu a place where you can observe an amazing spectacle incomparable to any other wildlife phenomenon across the continent. It is the only wildlife show of its kind where safari goers witness wildebeest migrate clockwise within the Serengeti ecosystem. Safari-goers can also witness wildebeest fight off the African predators as they journey on an 1800 mile pilgrimage in search of greener pastures. After the action packed game drive you will return to camp for dinner and your overnight stay.
