Genuine. Fun. Memorable coffee making experience
Feb 2021
My girlfriend and I loved this tour. We do a lot of traveling, and many tours in places like Zanzibar feel unauthentic, but the guides who run this are genuine - asking about food preferences for lunch, picking us up at the hotel when we wanted, complying with COVID precautions, taking us to see what we really wanted to see, and much more.

A genuine and really really fun experience is created just for you. I never got a chance, but if you can, stay in the hostel that they also run! It looks wonderful.

Wonderful coffee experience
Everybody says, you can't find the best tour for coffee in Arusha, you need to go to the Moshi. SO NOT TRUE! Not even you could find the best tour, but furthermore you can go through process of coffee making by very interesting and catching way with KINGSTONE ASILIA COFFEE TOUR - one of THE BEST “ATTRACTION” we had chance to visit during our years of traveling.

They will show you step by step how coffee is planting, making, drinking :) They show you their relaxing area of several open air rooms (made by them by their own hands) their farm (also with other, very interesting plants and trees). You will learn a lot by funny way - its NOT THE BORING TOUR- it is full of useful information, activities and I think even children would love it!

I really wish them best luck and have more and more visitors and customers because the way they are doing this coffee tour is with big heart and interest.

If you want to have real memories and not just lit of information from some big plantage, GO FOR THEM!

An interesting excursion into a foreign world that explains more than your travel guide does.
Oct 2020
We spent half a day with the guys of the coffee plantation - a very interesting experience.
We learned about planting the coffee seedlings, picked ripe coffee fruits, peeled and washed them. The drying process we skipped (would have taken two weeks) and proceeded to roasting, grinding and finally the cooking of the prepared coffee beans. Together with a delicious meal we sipped our home-brewed coffee and enjoyed the pleasant company of our hosts.
We recommend this tour to every tourist in Arusha. It brings you close to the people and you help them to earn a living.

Unforgettable experience in Tanzanian fields
Mar 2020
For all the coffee lovers and people who want to explore the real beauty of Tanzania, Kingstone Asilia is the place to be. This small local business is run by 3 amazing guys who have a big passion for coffee and passing on their knowledge to everyone who’s interested. We had so much fun during the coffee tour and learned a lot from the many stories that the guys told us. It was fascinating to see how a cup of coffee is actually made and taking part in the proces of making your own cup of coffee makes it so much more rewarding to drink it in the end. After making and tasting the coffee, we took some extra cooking classes because we love the traditional Tanzanian cuisine. The cooking class started with going together to a local market in which the guys guided us very well. They know practically everything about what you can buy there and how you can prepare it to a delicious meal. After the shopping we went back to their place to start cooking and we had again a really nice time together while making some typical Tanzanian dishes.
Next to this amazing coffee tour and the cooking classes, the guys also offer tours to other places like waterfalls and hot spring which I’ll definitely do with them when I return to Arusha. I wouldn’t want to explore these beautiful places with anyone else than Emmanuel, Saleh and Brayson. Thank you so much for everything!!

Amazing local coffee experience
Mar 2020 • Friends
A must do when in you’re Arusha! My friend and I did a coffee tour combined with borne fire and a night in the tree house surrounded by beautiful nature, birds and monkeys (we were pretty lucky). The guys are super funny and teach you a lot. Not only about their job, but also about the surrounding plants and the Tanzanian culture. Besides that, the bush food is delicious! So don’t hesitate and enjoy your time with beautiful locals.

Nice coffee tour and real African experience
Feb 2020 • Couples
My boyfriend and me wanted to experience a cultural tour that wouldn’t be too touristic! And the best way It is with Kingstone Asilia! As good italians we love coffee and it was really interesting to learn how coffee is made! The guys of Kingstone Asilia really knows their job and they can teach you not only about coffee but also about all the fantastic plants they have in their farm which can be used to cook or to heal some illnesses!
They give you a small coffee plant to plant by your own and after the tour trough the plantation you can roast, smash and drink you own coffe! Delicious! We had a really fantastic Swahili meal with the guys while we shared a lot of experiences! It was a really nice cultural melting pot! We also had a nice trip together to the kikuletwa hotsprings, we stopped to a typical local market and we visited the nice children of the orphanage where those guys help everyday as volunteers! Really recommended!

Wonderful coffee experience
Oct 2019
While I did not take the formal tour, I visited the two young, personable and enthusiastic, entrepreneurs. I purchased a bag of coffee and then decided to get a second bag. But there was not one available and I was leaving for the airport in about two hours. So they prepared a second bag from the raw coffee beans as I waited and I even got to participate in the process. They first broke the beans open using a mortar and pestle and got rid of the outside hull. Then the beans were roasted. Once roasted, they were ground in the mortar and pestle, a process in which they allowed me to help. Then a final sifting and bagging. Of all the cultural experiences in Arusha, this is the one I enjoyed most. I wish that I had been able to try some of their other activities but time was to short.

Worth a visit or two
Sep 2019 • Friends
I have been visiting this amazing place twice and I'm planing a visit again this weekend.
The staff is very professional and know what they are talking about. They will answer any questions about their culture and the coffee making process.

The coffee tour is very special because you get to make your own cup of coffee from scratch! Which you don't get to do everywhere.
