We had a very good time with our guide. He explained everything in detail and if we had any questions, he also explain it even further. It was a very relaxing vacation and we really enjoyed it. We recommend it to all the people because it is a Nice place to visit and we really enjoyed it. Our guide should say he is an excellent in his profession. I would highly recommend Hellow Travel to anybody that would like to take the tour.

We went to sri lanka for the first time and chose to use HELLOW TRAVEL company. From day one everything was so organized and every day we did different activities. Our driver ( Mr. Kasun) was always very friendly and polite when we spoke. Anytime we asked for something extra he was happy to help. We also meet with Dhanuka and he was a really nice guy and kind person. Hotel’s never stopped surprising us , very nice and friendly staff. Tea factories, jungles, sunrise, temples, train rides and many other activities. Definitely recommend this company. 10/10.

We wanted to visit Sri Lanka, we preferred to do it with Hellow Travel, we contacted the office and Mr. Dhanuka helped us in all the steps to plan our trip, everything was perfect, from the beginning when our driver Kasun picked us up, who was polite, a very careful driver, spoke perfect English, explained everything to us on our trip and made everything we wanted happen. Everything was perfect. On our next trip to Sri Lanka we will choose Hellow Travel again.

What an amazing day. Picked up by Dhanuka and traveled to his local market where we purchased all the vegetables, and fruit spices required for the meal. His wife and mother with the odd help from us prepared the most amazing meal. All the food tasted eonderful with all the spices adding such interesting flavours. It was served in clay pots and we ate Sri Lankan style with ypur fingers. A not to be missed experience hosted by such a wonderful family. A must experience when you are in Sri Lanka.

We arranged a 13 night tour with Dhanuka via WhatsApp. He was very flexible and tailored the tour to our needs and interests. We chose the accommodation via booking.com but it most probably would have been better to have let Dhanuka arrange it directly. We found Booking.com comparatively expensive and inflexible. Dhanuka was a safe driver, pleasant, knowledgeable and most importantly he was really happy to share his cultural with us. He couldn't do enough for us, from money changers, to local safe places to eat and making sure we saw and experienced the best sights. Highly recommend Dhanuka and Sri Lanka.

If you’re after an authentic home cooked Sri Lankan meal, shopping for the ingredients at the local market, freshly home grown produce, then this is the one to choose. Collected from our hotel and driven back to our guides home, meeting his wife and mother who then demonstrated and taught us to make at least five different local dishes. 6 of us were hosted by Dhanuka and his family. We had a tour of the market where were able to try different fruits and vegetables which would then help us decide what food to cook. We made a range of incredible curries, were showed traditional cooking methods and all were able to get involved at different elements. You certainly won’t go hungry! With so much food to try including dessert. It was the first night of our trip and I honestly can’t think we will get a better meal or hospitality while here! It was a real highlight of the trip so far.

Absolutely fantastic, not something we usually do but the experience was great, selected fresh local food from the market and it was cooked to perfection. We left very full. Warm and welcoming, thank you.

Dhanuka, Anu and Ama are SL gems! Better than the ones found in mines. Dhanuka collected me on time, and we chatted about all things SL, on the way to a market. He helpfully named fruits and vegetables I didn't know. The market is all locals selling their farm wares - all organic, fresh and great quality. Onwards to his home where I met his charming wife, And, and MIL, Ama. For the next several hours we laughed, talked food and culture and family, all whilst cleaning, prepping and cooking an array of curries from scratch. I learned each community makes their curry powders according to their secret recipes, with the same basic spices, but in different ratios. We shared the importance of putting love into prepping food and the rice is blessed, to thank the hardworking farmers for this staple. I could write minute details of the day, but I suggest you adventure into this experience yourself. This was THE highlight of my trip and a top reason to return to SL. Dhanuka and family are incredibly kind, peace-loving and love to share their home and culture. Do this experience and be wow'd with every morsel you get to eat after a few hours of hands-on fun.

We had a marvellous trip from Colombo to Nuwara Eliya, Ella, Haputale, Yala, Mirissa and Galle. Dhanuka also invited us to a cooking class at home with his lovely family. A great opportunity to see how a Sri Lanka family lives. The booking process was easy and we had a good dialogue around hotels and itinerary in general. Hands down- the best experience we had in Sri Lanka! We highly recommend this cooking class to everyone! We learned so much about traditional cooking and cuisine of Sri Lanka. We prepared and tried 8 different dishes and everything was absolutely delicious. Dhanuka and his family were so welcoming and kind. First we picked up fresh ingredients at the local market which was great experience as it was not touristic place but really authentic, local market. We learned a lot about all the aromatic spices, herbs and vegetables and we even tried many different ones already there. Later we prepared food and learned so many of their techniques such as opening a coconut, grating it, preparing fresh curry powder. And not only we got so much knowledge about cuisine, Dhanuka and his family gave us a insight of their daily life, we learned so much about their culture, language, tradition and history of their country. He has a lot of knowledge and gave us many tips for traveling around Sri Lanka. It was an unforgettable experience that left us feeling enriched and deeply connected to their culture. We had such a wonderful experience with Dhanuka Prasad and his lovely family! We also learned so much and returned home confident in making delicious Sri Lankan dishes. First, we shopped at the local farmer's market and learned to select ingredients. Once in the home kitchen with Dhanuka's wife, mother and mother-in-law we learned to make eight different curries. The meal was unforgettable, every dish delectable, and finished with fresh fruit and sweets. On top of all that, Dhanuka picks you up and takes you back to wherever you're staying in Colombo--he's a certified tour guide and driver. Highly recommended! A highlight of our Sri Lankan experience.
