What a find! Such a great deal - you get to choose what design and type of ring, bracelet or silver item you want to make. You have someone helping and watching throughout the process and explaining each step and why it is done. The location is nice and spacious and they give you water and some biscuits/light snacks. For the price I got to take home such a nice silver ring! Definitely recommend for anyone in the area!

This experience was great! Very personal and patient with us through each step of making our jewellery. We were able to choose our own style and make it ourselves from start to finish.

Another fantastic Ubud activities experience. We added this onto the back of our traditional Taro village visit. Upon arriving at the home where we took part in this activity we were welcomed which indoor shoes to wear for the experience as well as a choice of tea, coffee or water and given traditional rice snacks. We were able to look at examples prices of jewellery ranging from an assortment of rings and necklace pendants to bangles and earrings, this really helped us to choice the sort of style we wanted. I chose to do a thin band ring with a gem stone (gem stones are extra IDR depending on chosen stone, mine was an additional 350,000 IDR) and my partner chose to do a simple wide band ring with engraving (came to over 5gram allowance and each additional gram is charged at 50,000 IDR). The guide spent one on one time with us both (we were the only ones partaking in experience) showing each of us the steps and us repeating them for our items of jewellery. We undertook the whole process from melting the silver to washing and polishing. The only improvement would be if we were offered boxes to keep these safe in especially with travelling however we were content to wear these when we left so was not a concern.

The silver jewellery making was an amazing experience were the teacher would guide you on how to make silver jewellery ranging from rings, bracelets, earrings and pendants! We started by picking the the item in our case 2 rings! We begin the process of crafting our own jewellery by melting the silver, hammering to shape, engraving, filling to make flush, then we cleaned our rings and polished them! My partner choose a gem stone ring in which we had to pay extra for the gem stone which is optional! I choose an engraved pinky ring which weighed over 7 grams 2 grams over the 5 gram limit in which it was 50,000 IDR per gram over 5 grams! Since we were inexperienced we made a couple mistakes however our guide helped correct our mistakes and would help on parts we struggled to ensure our rings met the design we envisioned! Overall the experience was great and would recommend if you would like a taste of Balinese culture
