We had an incredible experience trekking all the way up through Jwala Devi Temple and back with Deepak Joshi ji !!!! Very professional and knowledgeable about nature!!! End of November Landour does not see many tourists and this is the great charm, if you are for a complete nature outdoor experience. I had a splendid full day hike under the guidance of Deepak. Truly impressed by his knowledge and passion for flora and fauna I recommend Deepak as your guide. If you get the chance set a side time for this hike:)

I had always wanted to see the natural history of the Himalayas and was richly rewarded by our expert guide Deepak. I had found Jabarkhet Nature Reserve online as place to visit if you like nature just a short drive from Mussoorie. It's a uniquely private preserve that offers guided nature walks and also conducts wildlife surveys. Many native mammal species have been photographed. Deepak met us early in the morning when it was cold and cloudy. We hiked to the top of Flagg Hill lead by Deepak. While on our leisurely hike Deepak an expert birder pointed out native birds and all sorts of trees and plants and how they are used by local villagers. We also learned about the cultural history of the region. We wanted to see the Everest House and asked Deepak to take us there. He was very generous with his time and he continued our natural history and cultural tour up the long road to the site. Also on route he showed us a unique Buddhist temple that is important to the local Tibetan population. Definitely ask for Deepak when traveling to see the natural history of Mussoorie.

Deepak is a very talented and passionate human being - he is friendly. IT was fun to be with him, I had visited Mussoorie with my friends and had day hike and village tour with him and the experience was extra ordinary. I wish him all the very best and thanks.
