About the operator

- B2319NPdaved0 contributionsA sensory feast in Old DelhiSpent an amazing day with Aditya wandering Old and New Delhi and sampling street food as we went. Having a knowledgeable guide is essential in Delhi and Aditya was great, taking us to places we would have had no chance of finding ourselves, negotiating with TukTuk drivers and giving us a history of the places we visited, some of which have been in the same family's hands for 140 years. Cannot recommend highly enough!Written 30 October 2024
- BinkyW0 contributionsDelicious day in DelhiBrilliant. This tour was an excellent way to see and learn about Delhi while tasting a wide selection of delicious food, most of which I'd never tried before. Our guide Aditya was informative, funny and a delight to spend the day with. I'll admit I was nervous about the risk of stomach issues trying so many foods, but the only problem we hit was trying to pace ourselves and not get too full! We also did the Food Tour in Delhi Cooking Class with Chef - the combination was perfect and it's obvious how passionate Rajeev and Shikha are about sharing the many wonders of Indian food and culture.Written 6 October 2024
- BinkyW0 contributionsA masterclass on how to build flavourFantastic experience, even better than I could have hoped for! Shikha didn't give us recipes so much as show us how to build and adjust flavour for chai, pakora and chutney, 4 vegetable dishes and a dessert. She invited us to taste and use our intuition and just adjusting until we had the flavour profile we were looking for. He explanations were clear, easy to follow and always interesting. Loved it.Written 6 October 2024
- N6518MJannw0 contributionsOne of the HIGHLIGHTS of our 14 day tour! The information regarding the use of spices was so valuable! Everything we eat now we consider what and where we are tasting! The atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming. The hands-on approach is the best way to learn. Highly recommend this experience!Written 5 October 2024
- Scott L0 contributionsExcellent tour, great food, strongly recommend.Excellent tour with incredible food and history. Our guide, Chef Aditya, was extremely friendly and knowledgeable, and he took us to several spots a tourist like me would never find (or be brave enough to visit). Took my 11YO daughter, and she loved it, too. And Aditya took special care of her along the way.Written 23 September 2024
- nick s0 contributionsDive in and enjoy! We took the food tour with Chef Aditya Shahi on our second day in Delhi, and India. Nothing like diving in to get the full cultural experience. What an experience it was, we ate so much incredible delicious food, which Aditya talked us through explaining all the flavours and how it was made. Hygiene was beyond reproach everywhere we went. We travelled by foot, by auto rickshaw, by pedal rickshaw and by car so a lot of distance was covered. He took us round the beautiful calming Sikh Temple, and round the kitchens where they feed 10,000 people a day. We saw and tried so much, an experience that has given us a really good basis for the rest of this and future trips. Everything was included in the price. Cannot recommend highly enough!Written 14 September 2024
- 978danz0 contributionsUnexpected private tour of Chandni Chowk's deliciousnessHad a fantastic time walking around Chandni Chowk with my guide, Aditya. I was the only one who booked this particular day so I got a wonderful private tour. All the food was delicious! I only had one free day on a weeklong business trip to India, and this was the only "non-work" activity that I had time for. I'm so glad that I prioritized this tour!Written 5 September 2024
- Anu19610 contributionsCusines and Flavours in DelhiDelhi and Food are synonyms. There is a plethora of cuisines that taste buds get satisfied while on a food tour. New and Old Delhi both have cusines from across India as well as, malls of Delhi deliver not only a shopping experience, but variety of food choices at a more comfortable and hygenic set-up. Come explore Delhi in Incredible India!Written 17 July 2024
- Excursion361357849060 contributionsBest 13 Hour LayoverOn my return trip from Sri Lanka back to the states I had a 13 hour layover in Delhi, which obviously meant I had to book one noteworthy tour that made the most of my $10 India visa…and this one exceeded expectations. Not only were the food selections delicious, varied, and representative of the cuisine, but they were also sourced from family institutions that were established around a century ago. The best part however was my guide, Chef Aditya Shahi—request him if you can. As a formerly trained chef, he knew every recipe down to each specific spice, and could predict what flavor I should expect in each bite. He guided me through the beauty of thali and appreciating the differences between eating foods individually and in concert. All the while, he was so personable and fun and made great company for a solo traveler like myself :) And most importantly…I was STUFFED, both in the tummy and with food knowledge by the time I made it back to the airport.Written 15 May 2024
- yuselikac0 contributionsDeliciously Delightful: A Culinary Adventure with Chef AdiI had an amazing experience on our private food tour, especially with Chef Adi leading the way! His expertise added a unique depth to the tour, and his passion for food was infectious. We got to taste a wide variety of delicious dishes, each stop feeling like a culinary adventure. The pacing was perfect, allowing us to fully appreciate each dish without feeling rushed. Overall, it was a fantastic way to explore the local cuisine, and I can't wait to do it again!Written 25 April 2024
- 936wilv0 contributionsExcellent food tour guide in DelhiI was very lucky to have Aditya Shahi as my guide. He is incredibly knowledgeable, friendly and patient with all my questions. He is someone you could easily hang out all day with. He certainly helped to make this food tour a memorable experience. Highly recommend!Written 17 April 2024
- ladiesonthelam0 contributionsEverything I needed a cooking class for be and MOREI don’t know where to begin…first Chef Shikha was an absolute Godsend; as far tres to get out of the airport and to my lesson. If it wasn’t for her calm head she never would have made it. She started the class going above and beyond. And once I arrived at the location she was so kind to offer me a nice welcome lassi and a sandwich so I wouldn’t be starving as we were making foods. I had taken the all day old/new food tour with this company in 2017. It was such an amazing experience I always said the next time I’m in Delhi I am taking a full on cooking class. I’m so glad I did. It’s an interesting class that cover the spice palette for basic Indian cooking and how how to layer 7 spices to get a plethora of flavors. Bonus they even gave me some spices to take home :-) We made a chutney, a snack, veggies and the sauce for butter chicken from Scratch NOT a powder. I can’t wait to try these recipes when I get home. The food I made that day in class. It was so good :Written 18 March 2024
- Althea B0 contributionsThis is a very inactive, flavorful tour. Great guide, great food, lots of options yo learn more about the food and the culture. We thoroughly enjoyed the street food tour. We went to many different stalls and had a variety of food from light to heavy, sweet to spicy, and everything in between. Our guide, Dave, was a former chef, so his knowledge of food was extensive. He knew his way around old Delhi and knew the vendors who were making the food. A word of advice: Don't have breakfast or have a very light breakfast, before you go. There was so much to taste and the tastes were often snack sized, so we were stuffed. The driver was also professional and efficient. Our guide and driver worked as a team, so we weren't spending time waiting around. The price was more than we paid for some other tours, but it was worth it. The value was there due to the quality of the tour and the guide.Written 24 November 2023
- den12880 contributionsDon't miss thisArrived in Delhi at 5am, joined the food tour of old Delhi at 10am......best thing ever. - alavihome0 contributionsGastronomical indulgenceA wonderful personalised tour tasting some incredible authentic and traditional foods with fascinating commentary by our accompanying chef Aditya. A wonderful way to experience and get to know Old Delhi as we also got to do a rickshaw ride and visit the spice market.Written 2 November 2023
