On a trek my friend and i came across the wild walkers and soon realized their accommodation would suit us more as they were right near the natural landscape, they had villagers working there on the crops who were really friendly, fresh food made from local products and treks with experienced trekkers. We thoroughly enjoyed the experience getting away from technology and meeting locals who knew the land well. There is so much to see and learn about from luscious plants, to edible fruits and tracking animals! We only stayed there for one night so didn't see any elephants but they were nearby. It was great to bathe with fresh eucalyptus in the morning and playing cards by the fire at night. Overall it was just what we were looking for feeling close to nature! High up above the in hills, in the buffer zone of the forests, sits this beautiful property. We were on motorcycle trip covering The Nilgiris and decided to stay a couple of nights at Wild Walkers. We were informed to park our vehicles close by from where we needed to walk. But since we were on bikes, we could brave the broken path and off road to the property. This turned out to be exhilarating as the off-roading to the place was an experience in itself. Karthik and Rajan greeted us with smiles and were super hosts. Rajan cooks some amazing food. With chilly evenings and a campfire and that awesome food what more could you ask. If you get lucky you could even spot some wildlife. The place is simply breathtaking, the early morning view of waking up above the clouds is still very vivid in my mind. Thank you Karthik and team for making our stay comfortable.

You would find arguably, one of the most beautiful views in Ooty here at the Wild Walkers. It’s right in front of the mountains and in the midst of a jungle and you may spot an animal or two during the stay. If you are someone who is in need of peace and quiet time with basic necessities of routine life, this is the place to be. The staff is extremely hospitable and friendly. Our host Karthik helped us with modifying our itinerary, suggesting places and routes to take. Every evening when we were back from our visit to Ooty, we used to be treated with tea and hot snacks right in front of a fireplace. Overall, a must visit for a nature-lover
