I highly recommend a visit to Paradise Art. The brothers Nareesh and Jeeth are amazing artists —fourth generation of artists in the family! I was amazes by their work and how honest and welcoming they were. They proudly showed me how all the miniature paintings are made from natural materials. Nateesh also took the time to kindly show me other gems in Udaipur off the tourist area. Definitely worth it 👌 PS. Do try their delicious home made chai!

We visited Pacific Art after a friendly conversation with Naresh at Ambrai Ghat. We not only saw the beautiful miniatures but had a good explanation of the different pigments, precious metals and their preparation. A work was in process and 2 women were also enjoying a miniature painting class. Naresh described the different quality of the paintings and the meaning of the characters and context of the pictures. A really interesting visit and we were delighted to support this traditional industry and take home some beautiful miniatures. Many thanks to Naresh and Pacific artists 🙏

Naresh and Jitu are incredibly skilled master artists - the fourth generation of miniature painters in their family - and also the friendliest and most hospitable people you will meet anywhere. Their shop is tucked away from the hassle of the market, just round the corner from Ambrai ghat; you'll find artists at work, and can look at their paintings and learn about the artistic heritage of Udaipur. And if you're interested in buying something, this is the place to come - the quality is the highest, and prices are excellent. Most of all, they have the kindest hearts and will make you feel so welcome. Meeting them is my most treasured experience from Udaipur.

This is a brilliant business with really friendly and helpful artist brothers (who speak good English) who are amazingly good at what they do. They are such nice people who have developed their shop selling miniature paintings into a school of sorts where you can go and have tuition in the art of painting the miniatures as well as browsing their extensive stock and buying items which have been made by them or by the local artisans they help to support. They even frame your pictures (overnight in our case) at a really good price. Udaipur was our second stop of our three week visit to India and I had a huge bag of framed pictures to carry round with me, but it was worth it. Go and see what they offer and I can guarantee you won't be disappointed.

Very friendly people and incredible artworks! Definately worth a visit altough it is a bit out of the touristic centre. Narish also explained a lot about the art and how it is made. Also Jeetu and Gourav were working and giving classes in the arts making it more authentic.

Naresh and Jitentra are incredibly friendly and genuine people with immense passion and deep knowledge of their craft. We were served delicious masala chai while being taken through the gallery’s collection of beautiful silk and resin pieces. It was so interesting to learn about the materials and techniques used to create them as well. A fantastic independent artists gallery which you must visit to see the intricate paintings and meet the fantastic people behind them.

Pacific Art Udaipur is our favorite art store in Rajasthan! Naresh and his brother Jeetu are both master 4th-generation artists in the Indian tradition, and their exacting skills can also be applied to modern subjects. Their store contains art from many superb artists and craftspeople from around the area, as well as works by traditional artists from generations gone by. Not only is their shop full and well organized, but they offer classes in traditional Indian painting - I was surprised at how well people learned to paint peacocks, for example! You can see how the pigments are meticulously ground and mixed, and they also have great masala chai! Their knowledge of Hindu and Indian history is superb. My partner was astounded at the draftsmanship as the painting was in progress outside the shop.

What a fantastic gallery packed with the most wonderful s election of miniature art paintings on silk, resin, wood and more. A real treasure trove of super high quality art from a collective of local artists with no middlemen. Beautiful works, fair prices and run by a charming family who have long been talented artists themselves. My whole family was in awe of the paintings and we were delighted to have bought several items that will no doubt become valued family heirlooms in decades to come. Don’t miss a visit, this is a real gem and one the guides won’t take you to as they can’t earn commission.

We stumbled upon this art store right outside of our hotel! We went in and met Jeetu and he showed us all of his art work that him and his family had done! What a beautiful collection and straight forward pricing. They helped us with getting the piece we wanted and framed it overnight and packed it so we can travel with it back to the US! We followed a worker from the shop that told us about the place. We were amazed at the art that they showcased. Everything was too notch. The showed us the painting process and we’re very polite along they way. We bought a beautiful piece for a really good price and we’re very pleased with our experience. Not only does he explain the process of making the artworks and the sources of the pigments, but he also describes the unique characteristics of each piece. There are many artworks in the shop, so it's a good idea to take your time, ask questions, and explore.
