Deepak our tour guide, driver Anand promptly arrived at our hotel ahead of the scheduled time. Deepak was extremely knowledgeable of jodhpur extensive history and answered all of our questions throughout the day. The restaurant deepak suggested for lunch, The Khas bagh, was the perfect rest spot midday. We also enjoyed visiting the block printing shop jewellery shops. At all of the stops, our driver, Anand, was right there to pick us up and offer cold water. The rest is walking, YOU MUST WALK. you cannot see Jodhpur in a vehicle or on a Tuk Tuk. In iur last say Deepack had bought some food and water for our train journey. We had not realised and left without them. He followed us to the train pstation, found us and gave us the food he had bought for us. Free of any charge. He recommended some great add-on activities such as zip lining at the fort and cooking classes which was not on our radar but turned out to be trip highlights! Our guide, Kuldeep, had extensive knowledge and spoke English fluently. he was very professional and patient and ensured we had a great time exploring Jodphur and also made us feel safe. He took me to points with fantastic views, including a stop to watch the sunset and have tea, he asked if he could take photos of me and then sent them to me. Obviously I agreed and it turns out that he is also a great photographer. We finished the tour by visiting a local store that had great prices and eating samosas at a traditional Jodhpur stall. We did a wonderful 11 person tour with Praveen who arranged pick-up at our hotel and drop off at dinner. He was funny, engaging, and very very interesting! Price was more than reasonable and truthfully, we would have paid more! I cannot say enough how awesome it was and working with both Deepak and Praveen. In the morning we walked from the guesthouse to the blue city and passed, among other things, the step well. He knows a lot about the history, architecture and culture of the city. From there we walked to the gigantic Mehrangarh fortress and entered through the "back entrance". Truly a fabulous fort that Deepak could enthusiastically talk about. Then he arranged a tuktuk that took us to the Jaswant Thada and Umaid Bhawan Palace. Deepak gave me a wonderful day with his love for Jodhpur and his profession as a guide. The fort is stunning and we truly appreciated the views, the museum, the stories, the art work, the impressive gift shop and our tour guide, Nagengra. Deepak’s tour and transport company is top notch with great service. Deepak and Nagendra are extremely helpful, honest and kind. I highly recommend their services. They know how to treat you with respect and dignity. We also got to taste sone local street food, mirchi vada and cachori- a must?? Thanks for the great masala chai and sweets experience. We only had one day at Jodhpur but Deepak made it so special and full of experiences it felt like three. It was good to start the tour early in the morning so we could walk the blue city during the less busy hours. Not only did Deepak show us his beautiful hometown, he also adjusted the tour according to our special requests ( e.g. wanting to try sugarcane juice). He also helped us communicating with our driver and planning the rest of our trip giving us great advice that was so so helpful.

I have been to Jodhpur a number of times alone and with other tour groups. This time I requested a tour with Deepak because I wanted to 'see and experience' Jodhpur as a local. From this tour perspective I got to 'get down and dirty' with the locals. It is wonderful to see a place that you already appreciate, from a view that is more personalised. Yes there is the itinerary he mentions but Deepak listens to his patrons and certainly makes sure that you see His India. Great photo opportunities at places you want to see. Deepak also recommends food and other time sights according to what you are interested in. Always helpful, obliging, not pushy, not 'in your face', open courteous and a pure gentleman. Go with confidence and experience the real India.

My wife and I had a great time touring the city with our guide, Yogesh (Yogi). He gave thoughtful historical context about the architecture, city layout and historical figures significant to the history of India and Jodhpur specifically. There is no question that the man knows his city well. We were able to venture to incredible vantage points for memorable views of the city. The tour definitely takes you through roads less traveled by and Yogesh did a great job safely navigating us through the narrow alleys and chaos that could prove challenging to unaided tourists. Lastly we were able to sample some delicious chai and samosas through local vendors. Yogesh is proficient in several languages and has has worked with many foreign tourists. I would highly recommend him for the average tourist, but also to any Indians born abroad that would like to get a better sense of their history. I could not recommend this tour without the highest enthusiasm.

We had Yogesh (Yogi) as our guide and he was simply fantastic! Although our tour was booked for 2-3 hours, we spent half a day with him for he took us around not just the Blue City area but also to nearby shopping areas/restaurants which was not included in the package. Such was his generosity! I highly recommend this walking tour as Yogesh is one of the few who would go above and beyond to make sure you have a truly memorable experience!

Walking down from the original lower entrance gates to Mehrangarh Fort, past the lake, through the Blue City , Old Markets, Modern Markets and Toorji's Step Well and ending at the Clock Tower. My guide Deepak was exceptional and showed me places an ordinary tourist would never see or experience. His English was perfect and very easy to understand, unlike a guide on a tour in Jaipur two days later who recited standard text in a very fast parrot like manner that was difficult to understand and at times unwanted. Cannot praise Deepak highly enough for his knowledge manners and understanding the individual needs of his guests.

Certainly one of the best walking tours we have had during our stay in India. Despite our very limited time in Jodhpur Deepak did something that was almost impossible, captivating us with the beauty of his city. Exceptionally well organized, kind and helpful Guide, who is very generous with sharing his enormous knowledge and gladly reveals the wonders of the city. Deepak has made our stay in Jodhpur truly memorable and we regretted we could not stay there longer. I sincerely recommend visiting Jodhpur with Deepak.

What a wonderful walking tour. Deepak shows you the major attractions, but also all sorts of smaller hard to reach, but wonderful, places. His English is excellent and he takes wonderful photos of you, as you explore. He has negotiated access to viewing points you simply could not find or enter on your own. He is informative and knows his history, mythology and the details of modern life in the city, but he does not crowd you with details. There are moments to test and contemplate the breathtaking views. You twist and turn through the blue city; you are led through the busy market area; you drink delicious chai and are served one of the best samosas around (and I have been travelling in India for 26 years). In short, Deepak gets what works for tourists and shows gives you a rich and exciting slice of the city life he so obviously loves.

Really enjoyed our guided tour in Jodhpur. Deepak was friendly, knowledgeable and obviously very proud of this lovely city. We ended up in little streets and alleyways that we would never have found walking around on our own and he took us to some of the best viewpoints over the city. I would definitely recommend the walking tour.
