          Best blue City walking tour
Bantu is an exceptional guide with in-depth local knowledge that you won't find in a travel brochure. I highly recommend his walking tour. Bantu's English speaking is perfect and the walking tour is not rushed with plenty of time for detailed information, asking questions and enjoying local street food, sweets and masala chai. It was a wonderful experience and I will be recommending it to all my friends and family who visit Jodhpur.

Book a private tour for your arrival
We called Bantu last minute and he picked us up from our hotel for a private 2 hour tour. It was a fantastic introduction to Jodhpur. We saw backstreets and met locals and enjoyed every minute. Book a private tour for when you first arrive and it will set you up for your whole stay.

          Excellent experience with Bantu!
Our private walking tour of Jodhpur with Bantu was excellent. We contacted him ahead of the trip, via Whatsapp and he was very responsive. On the day of the tour, he came to meet us at our hotel, perfectly on time. He has a very kind and calm manner, his English is excellent, he is very knowledgeable and a true pleasure to talk to. He made sure that we were ok with the amount of history and facts he was sharing with us, open to any question and tailored the tour to our needs. We were really glad we engaged him for this tour as we would not have ventured in the narrow streets of Old Jodhpur without him. Bantu guided us patiently through the wonderful maze of old shops, where we could see bangle-makers or the lovely gentleman who repairs the sewing machines (yes!), historical buildings, blue facades and lanes, helping us with pictures as well, up to a breath-taking panoramic viewpoint at the feet of the Fort, where we had drinks (needed after the little climb!) while admiring the city at sunset. He will ask you if you are interested in seeing specific shops but he will not pressurize you into going - we appreciated his attitude. We actually chose to visit an antiques/textiles shop as we had not had the time to do any shopping up to that point and, even if it can be a bit time-consuming (we expected it so just went with the flow and enjoyed the experience), we went for it and actually bought a few items. We loved our tour with Bantu and we would 100% recommend his services - thank you!

          Walking tour with a local
The walking tour with Bantu was excellent. He showed us some beautiful hidden gems, great for pictures, and told us stories and insights. He is a true local with deep knowledge of the history of the place and you can really feel that. There is no way you can get such insider view without a local. Highly recommended.

Bantu was beyond a tour guide, he was reliable, sweet, super knowledgeable, very welcoming and made my solo trip to this city an amazing one. He doesn’t just give you the internet information but knows beyond that. He’s well read and it shows in his in depth knowledge Must book with Bantu if you want the authentic experience

Walk to the blue city afternoon tour with Bantu.
We really cannot recommend Bantu enough. Definitely the best tour we have done in India so far, an unmissable highlight of our time in Jodphur. It was the making of our short but sweet stay in Jodphur, as we felt like we really got to experience the heart of this beautiful city - from the people and the culture, to the history and street food. No question went unanswered and no request was too big. Bantu catered to the kind of tour we wanted and was extremely informative. We loved every moment with him, and hope he can continue to share this city with many others! Thank you Bantu!

          Jodhpur highlights
Looking back at my photos from last year's trip to India, I felt the need to review this great tour as it was definitely one of the highlights of the time we spent in Jodhpur. Bantu was a great host; interesting and informative. We learned a great deal about the history and inhabitants of the blue city plus, very importantly, where to find the most amazing local treats - the tastiest chai, creamiest lassis plus the samosas of dreams!

Delightful heritage walk of the old city!
Banty is a great guide who is very proud of his city. We did an easy walk around the old heritage town and saw the lovely street art. I was travelling with an older group and he was able to adapt it to meet their requirements which was awesome. I look forward to working with Banty again!

Walking tour around Blue City of Jodhpur , India
Bantu was the most informative guide. He gave us a wonderful overview of Jodphur, explaining in detail the history, architecture, culture & food. We had a lovely taste of the best masala chai, samosa and lassi . He also kindly took us into the famous Achal Nath Shiva temple, which was such a spiritual experience for us all. I wouldn’t hesitate in recommending him as your guide in your visit here.

          Simply the best
Knowing how difficult it would be to navigate around the old city of Jodpur , we hired Buntu to be our guide for a 1/2 day tour. He surely did not disappoint. His messaging was quick to answer and delivered more than we expected. Form the moment I met him at our Hotel in the morning of our tour, I was impressed. He was impeccably dressed and spoke excellent English sharing all his knowledge. I very much doubt we would have found the best sights around the city without him and would have wasted time going around in circles. He shoed us he best vantage point to see the city and Merhang Fort.

          Unique Perspective. Must Do.
Excellent. Must do this tour. It’s a private tour and not of the typical places but more meandering nooks and crannies. Bantu is very knowledgeable and kind. It’s the perfect length and the perfect amount of information.

          Highlight of Jodhpur
Bantu’s walking tour was one of the highlights of our time in Jodhpur. He is passionate about his city and it shows in the way his eyes light up when he shares a story about jodhpur’s past or when he leads his guests into a special lane in the old city. We joined Bantu’s tour with our family of 2 adults and 4 children (ages 12. 10, 7 and 5) and he was very patient with our children, trying to keep them engaged throughout the tour. The hours we spent with him felt like having a local friend in Jodhpur who couldn’t wait to show us around. Highly recommended!

        Feb 2024 • Friends
I new nothing about Jodhpur when I visited it in early February 2024. The ‘Blue city’ sounded so intriguing that I wanted to know all about it. Luckily, my friend who I was travelling with, had us booked in with Bantu for an early morning two hour walk through the city. This turned out to be an extremely memorable experience.

Bantu has a vast wealth of information. He took us on a fast paced walk through the city and his in-depth knowledge and obvious love for the place enthused and informed us. He is a great orator and speaks excellent English.

From its earliest beginnings to present day, Bantu explained the origins of the Blue city. He explained in detail the origins of its people and that of their their rulers. The inhabitant’s customs and traditions and the city’s blueness. There was not a single question that Banto could not answer or elaborate on. The man lives and breathes Blue city.

If you are fascinated by, culture, history and architecture and visit Jodhpur, Bantu is someone you need to speak with. For an extremely small outlay you will receive interesting and invaluable information and be thoroughly entertained.

I cannot recommend this tour and its guide (Bantu) highly enough.

When you arrive in Jodhpur, you might find it a bit overwhelming. The area around the clock tower is a fairly manic market, and if you're a foreign tourist you might find it somewhat full on.

This is why Bantu's tour is SO worth it. He takes you all around the city, and most importantly to the other side of the fort where the Brahmpuri settled in the 15th century. There you'll find a thoroughly beautiful and far quieter colony, and Bantu will happily talk you through the history while pointing out all the little details and interesting facts as you walk.

You'll also walk away with so many more fantastic photos than you would have otherwise.

Finally, Bantu will happily take you to try some fantastic street food if that's your thing. And he also runs an entirely separate food tour, so well worth getting in touch with him if that's something you'd prefer to do.

All in all, it's a ten out of ten from us.

A highly recommended walking tour of Jodhpur! Bantu was incredibly knowledgeable, passionate about his city, enthusiastic to share it with us and kind. At his suggestion we did a sunset tour and were taken to many beautiful and unknown locations we would never have found ourselves. He helped us try delicious street food, pointed out his favourite shops and restaurants and made an excellent dinner recommendation. The whole experience was an absolute highlight of our trip in India.

Me and my friend really enjoyed this tour. There was just us so we were able to ask lots of questions and learnt so much about Jodhpur and India more generally. Our guide is was studying a masters in Indian history so we were definitely in good hands! We also got to try some local snacks and have some chai along the way so we’re kept refreshed throughout.

I was recovering from being sick so had to take regular breaks which our guide was very happy to accommodate. Otherwise, the tour was very manageable and is is not taxing at all for anyone of average fitness.

I would definitely recommend this tour if you’re in Jodhpur, you’ll learn so much and if you do it at the start of your stay it’ll help you get more out of your visit to the city.

A fantastic tour by a friendly, knowledgable, interesting guide. We were shown iconic streets, taught about the history of the city, told what makes jodphur unique and tasted the best samosa I have ever had.

We were having mixed feelings about Jodphur before this tour. Bantu brought the city to life with his tour, changing our minds on the city.

        10/10 would recommend.

Bantu was a great tour guide!! We were so lucky to have him show us the amazing sights, streets and history of Jodhpur😀 he really took his time explaining everything to us from the cast systems to the way of life in his home city. We finished off the tour tasting delicious street food. To be honest we would not have seen Jodhpur if it wasn’t for Bantu. Definitely book him in! You won’t regret 👏😄😃

I had the most incredible experience on the walking tour of Jodhpur! From the moment we began, I knew this would be something special. Our guide Bantu, a local expert, was passionate, knowledgeable, and made the city's rich history come alive in a way that was both engaging and fun.

The walk down into the old town was just as magical, as we strolled through narrow alleys lined with vibrant blue houses, hidden temples, and local artisan shops. We stopped for some fresh street food, and the pyaaz kachori and tea were absolutely amazing!

The pace was just right — we had time to explore and ask questions, but never felt rushed.

If you want to truly get to know Jodhpur and see it through the eyes of a local, this walking tour is a MUST! Highly recommend!

My first day in Jodhpur was so overwhelming I felt worried to go out. But I am so glad I booked the Bluecity walking tour with Buntu, a very well spoken and humble man.

I learnt how beautiful Jodhpur was as he toured me around the place, explaining to me about the history of Jodhpur and other really interesting facts about India.

Especially as a solo traveller, it was great having someone local show me around the city, with whom I felt safe.

I loved absolutely everything from the Bluecity walking tour with Buntu, and I would definitely recommend his tour if you go to Jodhpur.

Bantu ji was our favourite guide in Rajasthan, not just Jodhpur! His blue city walking tour was the highlight of our stay in Jodhpur. He also gave us great tips on how to see Mehrangarh Fort in the short time that we had left, in Jodhpur. I highly recommend the Blue city tour. In my opinion, the view of the Blue city from rooftops and the fort are not that great, but the interiors where they are painted is where the real history and color are. Bantu ji's narration of the history alongside, is the best way to spend half a day in Jodhpur!
