      Excellent tour in Pune
My friends and I really enjoyed this experience in Pune. We were visiting town for a friend’s wedding and wanting to find some local food that would not upset our stomachs. We loved speaking with and learning from Snehal and her husband. The tour was tailored to our interests and they were very generous and kind. We asked them many questions about food and Pune broadly. We learned a lot! I would definitely recommend this tour if you are in town for a visit.

      Sympathetic and punctual tour!
Had an excellent tour - I happily recommend it! My guide was Gaurav, who is very sympathetic and experienced. I much appreciated how flexible and communicative the organization was (I had to rebook the tour time twice). Gaurav also recommended me many other things to do around Pune, so that was a big help! If ever I'm back in the neighborhood, I'll ping them again.

      Your Go-To Pune City Guide
Excellent tour with Sanket! If you’re looking for a personable, friendly, and localized tour, CityZest is the place to go. Sanket did an excellent job of giving history and background of the city and landmarks, selecting and modifying the activities to fit the group, and sharing his love of the city and state. We started with chai from a local cafe, next stopped at a dam, then headed to the fort. Sanket extended the fort time to do more hiking (my request) and also stopped to try some of the local snack food. After the fort, we stopped for a a local lunch. It was delicious and a great atmosphere. Lastly, we drove to Panshet Dam. The drive was beautiful to see Pune countryside and farming. We also rode on a boat at the dam (additional opportunity), which was quite fun. Krishna, the driver, did an excellent job of driving smoothly and safely. I had an absolute blast and found a new appreciation and perspective of Pune. I highly recommend Sanket and CityZest for all of your Pune tours!

      Very well organized tour
The tour was very well organized. Stops for tea, visits, lunch were well planned. I really appreciated Sanket's explanations on the city of Pune and on all the three sites that we visited, especially the history about Sinhagad Fort. Although we did have fresh air and beautiful views at the two dams, I was quite disappointed by the dams because there was not much to see. Overall, I did enjoy the whole day of visit and highly recommend this tour.

      Awesome Guide, great tour
While visiting India, I did a number of tours, and this one was by far the best mainly because the tour guide was superb. He was personable, informative, and attentive. Sanket ensured I had a great time. He was knowledgeable in the history, which I loved and seemed to truly enjoy telling me all about it. When so many other tours seemed to be trying to sell you more stuff, Sanket seemed to only care about providing history and ensuring his guest had a great time. 10/10 would go with him again!

      Great Variety of delicious food
Sanket was a great guide and we got to try many delicious foods. He had a lot of info about the history of the foods. The start at the temple was nice to see, too.

Tour full of Markets, Temples and History
This is a private car tour. This is very good introduction tour to the city. The operators at cityzest were very efficient in managing the tour though it was booked at last minute. We were properly informed about the historical monuments and markets. The car was also good. The tour takes place in the old city as well as the new city, so having a good car was a necessity as its very hot in the mornings and in the afternoons.

      Ganpati Bappa at his best
CityZest lives up to its name! Sanket and his friend Sunil were so kind in giving this solo traveler a detailed tour of Pune's Ganesh Chaturthi Festival, taking me from the area's oldest temples and idols to some of the new "pop-up" displays as the festival attracts more visitors year after year. This tour was a great value and Sanket is greatly knowledgeable, friendly and has a great sense of humor. I also love supporting this young man's vision to bring more visitors to explore the best of Pune. Do plan a trip here during this celebration. Be sure Sanket takes you to the best tea shop in town -- so good! Thanks guys for a fun day, and best of luck expanding your vision for CityZest!

      Value for money tour
The tour was booked by me online for the Independence Day weekend after seeing the itinerary. This is a private car tour with guide. The pick up was from our hotel itself. The Innova car was neatly maintained. The Sinhagad tour was excellent and the organiser was the guide too. I was concerned that the dams were not accessible due to heavy rains But the organiser reassured that all was ok. The dams were filled to the brim but accessible. We even did boating in Panshet dam. The local lunch provided was nice. The tour was worth the money and time spent thanks to the organisers.

Experience a Taste of the Real Pune
Signed up hoping to see and taste Pune the way the locals do and I was not disappointed. Had Sanket, my guide, all to myself and he was fantastic. He knows and loves his city very well. If you're in the area & have a few hours, I strongly recommend this tour. Very well worth it!!

The guide for my 4 pm tour was Kaustubh. I enjoyed learning from him about the history of Pune and the various Peshwas that ruled this area. The walking tour stopped at multiple off-the-beaten-path historic sites in central Pune that only a knowledgeable guide can show you. We also walked through the clothing and fruit/vegetable markets, visited several Ganesha shrines and stopped at a couple of places to sample some tasty dessert treats. While this tour starts and ends at the Shaniwar Wada fort, you only view the fort from the outside on the tour. I bought a ticket to visit the inside of the fort on my own before the tour, which helped me get more out of the tour. I recommend going inside the Shaniwar Wada before taking this tour if you have the opportunity. Overall, this tour exceeded my expectations and was a good use of my limited time for tourism in Pune.

I spent a Saturday afternoon (from 4pm) on this tour as a way to spend the weekend whilst in Pune on business. It was just me and the very lovely tour guide, who kindly took me out even though it was his birthday! Instructions for meeting were clearly communicated via WhatsApp. The tour itself was excellent and very informative, taking in various temples, markets and historic sites (as other reviewers have said, best to wear easy slip on shoes if possible). It was extremely busy and I would have struggled to navigate the streets, temples and markets without his assistance. All in all very enjoyable and I would highly recommend. I'm going on the food tour next!

Sanket our walking guide is a really nice guy and we enjoyed our trip. He encouraged and helped us take photographs and spend time at different locations. Thank you. However, it will be a much better experience for tourists if tour guides are trained in story telling about each site, giving a structure to the tour and managing time.

I had visited the temple during Ashadi ekadashi which happened to be on Sunday this year. We reached the temple arround 2.30pm amd were out by 3.15pm.
Parking is an major issue as the road is busy with shops on both sides. It is a one way road. After much struggle we found a spot to park our car. Entrance and exit are through the same gate which adds to the chaos.
If you want to give offering to the deity the shops with the temple premises.
Also there is a stall for keeping your sandals n shoes in the premises.

Worst tour guide one can encounter.
    Zero knowlege of the place.
Doesn't knows the history of the place and looting people's time and money.
A 30 second clip on internet can be more knowledgeable than this guide's total knowlede of shaniwar wada

Koustubh was very knowledgeable, professional, polite and caring. He explained in detail the history of the visited sights along with interesting anecdotes of the various characters involved. He also exposed us to some of the unique deserts of Pune.

I would highly recommend this. My local guide was Gaurav and he was great. I experienced parts of Pune and India that I wouldn't have ever been able to on my own. I particularly liked exploring the various Pune markets and the various Hindu Temples, particularly the Dagadusheth Halwai Ganapati temple which was a surreal experience in a good way. I went on a Saturday and the crowds were immense but then again if you don't like crowds you shouldn't visit India to begin with 😀.
