- Jennie G0 contributionsGreat TourI have had a wonderful trip with Sachinn, my guide. He has been great company as I am solo today. This is my second tour with Sachinn, he very friendly and knowledgeable. I have learnt so much from him. The driver is very good, I felt relaxed with him driving in the chaos leading out & back into the city. We had lunch at the top of the fort & the food was so delicious. Such a beautiful place to visit, best time is in the morning.Written 6 September 2024
- rkrishnan4160 contributionsTrip to MahabaleshwarMyself and wife were in a trip to mahabaleshwar. Travelled by flight till Pune then by road. It was my first experience in Maharashtra. People don't respond when you speak in Hindi or English not because they don't know the language. Buses are very less in frequency and taxis ask a lot. Then I asked sn agent who told me about return taxis from pune to Mahabaleshwar. He arranged one for me it was for less than half the charge. Then I asked one Panditji who was traveling to one of the ashrams in mahabaleshwar. He gave his own part and I made my transport affordable. Return was with no hurry. Hence I made it by road from Mahabaleshwar to Ratnagiri to Mangalore to my home town in kerala, though there was no pre reserved seats I got into buses with nearby destinations where seats are available. My stay was in Club Oxygen resorts which was a delightful experience for me and wife. Strawberry gardens nearby the resort was awesome.Written 22 August 2024

- khusistraveller0 contributionsAmazingMy recent visit to Sinhagad Fort was a captivating journey through history and nature. Trekking through scenic trails, I was awed by the fort's ancient walls and panoramic views, offering a glimpse into Maratha history and culture. The culinary delights and cultural insights added depth to the experience, making it a memorable adventure that blends adventure, history, and natural beauty seamlessly. Sinhagad Fort earns a solid 5/5 rating for its enchanting charm and historical significance.Written 12 June 2024
- KurtV4970 contributionsLong drive but worthwhileThe driver was right on time at the hotel and ready for a 3 hour drive. We picked up the guide at Mahabaleswar and had some breathtaking views and nice visits to the old temples. The guide then made his way to the local market allowing some shopping time. When I came back to the cab, the guide was gone and the driver brought me to an overrated strawberry farm/shop. Nothing really to see or do there but it being 2pm, I had a pizza for lunch. Driver then drove me back to the hotel. I did like the elements that we visited, but a cab without a single bottle of water for a six hour drive in total surprised me and the fact that the guide just disappeared was very weird.Written 26 April 2024
- 689amang0 contributionsLocal temple and ashram itineraryI would not call it a walking tour as the concept goes but more like a temple and ashram itinerary. There were hardly any stories about the culture or the place or food. There was some soft peddling for the products. Interesting stories, food and photos make up for most of the best part of walking tours in India. This tour did not have any of these parts. It was more like booking a local guide at 10x the prices because you have booked it on TripAdvisor. Won't recommend if you have done walking tours elsewhere in India.Written 7 April 2024

- danielkV4731DE0 contributionsRemote part of the country.Great little trip to a remote part of the country. Long drive from Pune, 3 hours each way, so knowing that your expectations should be set. Beautiful part of the country, lots of trees, sacred temples and great views. Strawberry farms are neat as well.Written 25 February 2024

- 444justusf0 contributionsInsightful Intro to Pune with a Great GuideVery insightful trip - guide had a lot of knowledge about the visited sites and the history of Pune and was even willing to extend the walking tour as festive parades were taking place on that day. Had great answers to every question and was super-nice and helpful (we even tried some of the local food together). Very recommended if you want to ge ta good first feeling of what the older parts of Pune are all about and how the city became what it is today.Written 21 January 2024

- RoseT9290 contributionsScammers and time wastersWe booked a pune food tour the day before it was due to take place (it was due to occur in the afternoon). In the morning we received a message from yo tours saying that no guides were available but asking us to ‘hold on and wait’ while they confirmed. So, we waited, and heard nothing from them. I chased multiple times to then be told that they were trying to rearrange for the evening. By this point we had been waiting, wasting hours of our precious time to understand what was going on. Again, we received no further confirmation of anything about an evening tour until I chased them again. In the end I requested that the tour booking be cancelled (it was already evening by this point) and that we be refunded. It has now been over a week, and despite chasing again, multiple times, I still have not received a refund. Awful service, time wasters and scammers. I actively encourage you to avoid this company.Written 24 December 2023
- S7528EXcharlesm0 contributionsA journey for the mind and the soulI would absolutely recommend Sachinn’s tour and hope that I get to take another with him. He has a great grasp on the history and can really help you understand the Indian culture and it’s religion. This trip was naturally interesting but I felt that talking with Sachinn was a soulful journey as well. I think our lunch will stay in my memory for a long time it was so soulful and relaxed. If you have the chance don’t miss out.Written 9 December 2023

The guide was polite, but he did not take charge of the tour and started talking in Marathi even though he knew that our group had people who could not understand that language. His knowledge was also limited. For example, he got the order wrong of deaths of Kasturba and Madhav Desai at Aga Khan Palace. Photos taken by him of our group were poor. He seemed to be on a personal mission of visiting the various temples that were on the itinerary. A boring tour, overall.

This was very good short cultural and historical tour of Pune. Sachin (our tour guide) did good job in taking us through the major places and also some local/old city marketplace areas in Pune. He explained the context and background for all the places.

This was really a great tour and a unique experience. Although I had booked the tour only the night before at 10 pm, so about 12 hours before the start, everything worked smoothly. The tour guide also catered to individual requests and we simply customized the tour to my liking. Unforgettable was the walk through the small, winding streets and alleys. Simply unforgettable - thank you very much.

Do not book! They cancelled on original day stating medical emergency and then we rebooked for another day and they said car was on the way and then an hour after tour was supposed to start said they didn’t book a driver as we had “ poor communication”. They wreaked two days of our 4 day vacation waiting for them and we didn’t get to see anything and trying to get refund but unsuccessful so far. Please DO NOT BOOK.

Excellent tour by our very knowledgable guide Sachinn. Introduced us to the colorful history of Pune via temples and forts. Also to and through the very crowded markets which are do fascinating for people watching plus history. There was the opportunity to try different street food and I did cautiously both done food and a delicious all natural cooling drink.
We successfully crossed busy streets which in itself was a major achievement.
I strongly recommend this tour for those who are interested in the history of Pune and India and want to experience and get immersed into the craziness which I so enjoyed.

We were led on our tour by Sanchin who was an excellent guide. Very warm and friendly person who was very well informed . The places he took us to were fascinating and gave us a great insight into the history and culture of Pune.
we cannot speak highly enough of Sanchinn and also our driver . We stopped midway for snacks and drinks and Sanchinn ensured we ate at good places.
Sanchinn was also very flexible and was able to alter the tour to fit in with our time schedule as the tour took much longer than 4 hrs.
We highly recommend this tour

We really enjoyed our tour around Pune with our engaging guide, Sachinn.
We visited a number great places, ate local street cuisine and learnt about local tradition’s.
Thank you Sachinn. We learnt more about Indian history and spirituality in 4 hours than in the time we have spent in India so far. :)

This was one of the most informative tours I have been on. He was great with the knowledge of the areas we visited. Gave lots of details to each temple and site we visited. He took us to try local dishes and the local market. He helped to negotiate the prices that was already marked up where we wouldn't have done it. The food tours and tea was the highlight for me . We learned about the culture and the Indian people are so nice . I would recommend this tour to everyone if you visit pune. He keep us very attentive to his conversation we were never bored or was ready to go. He was on time waiting on us to go few minutes before time. It was not a exact time to be done he went over and didn't complain we keep him longer than expected. I will recommend to my colleagues that will visit in the future.

This tour was really great! I had one day to spare in Pune and this was the perfect option. I booked late the afternoon before and received confirmation instantly and WhatsApp message from the tour guide within a few hours.
Cab picked me up from my hotel and took me to Aga Khan Palace where I met my guide Sachinn. Sachinn was wonderful and explained all the history of the sites and shared local knowledge of Pune. When entering the temples he explained the religious etiquettes and gave background on the various gods whose shrines we saw.
The tour of the old market was also really awesome, so much to see and so many vibrant colours. Sachinn made sure I was safe at all times and helped navigate me through the busy traffic! As a solo female traveller I felt completely at ease at all times. We also tried some street food which was delicious - a must try!
If you’re looking for a short taste of Pune, I would definitely recommend this tour.
