          A resort that tells stories!
Do you want to become a child again? Do mythological stories attract you? Welcome to a resort like no other!! Omthara will take your breath away with its exquisite life size sculpting and tabloids depicting the Hindu Epics such as Mahabharata and Ramayana apart from a myriad of stories from the Puranas. Nestled amidst vast landscaped gardens that depict sculpting of Buddha's enlightenment and a courtyard which reverberate with the Gayatri Jaap in the morning, Omthara is the brainchild of the creater of the world famous Amar Chitra Katha series. The rooms are well appointed and the food is simple and yummy. Lunch at the beautifully designed terrace overlooking lush green coconut plantation is a must. The staff is hospitable without being conspicuous. If you crave quiet, lazy and comfortable break, look no further. The other highlights are the light and sound show on the 10 Avataras of Vishnu and the stunning event hall. For the adventurous, there is a granite hillock right behind which offers a good steep trek ending atba Shiv temple atop it. Just a 1 hr 20 min drive from Bangalore makes Omthara a great day plan or an event venue. Try it once and soak yourself in the beauty of Hindu Mythology.

          An afternoon of nostalgia
My friend and I went on a 4 hr tour of Omthara Kala Kuteera and we enjoyed every minute of it. We were surprised that was so little in the press about it. It should definitely be in the list of top 10 things to do in Bangalore. We have grown up reading Amar Chitra Katha, and learning about our history through these extremely informative comics - and it was good fun to try and recall the various stories that have been so beautifully carved on the walls of this place. It is a product of the love and dedication of one man, Shri Anantharaman, and it is an extremely commendable project. Our guide Mr Srinivasa was also very informative and took us through all the points of interest in great detail. We would recommend this, especially for families with children who also read ACK. We also felt that larger groups would have more fun, especially if you compete to see how many of the stories you can remember.

          Amazing place
We spent a day at Omthara Kala kuteera with my family. The place is located in a beautiful place at the outskirts of Bangalore. We had the privilege of meeting the owners of the place. The warmth and the the care that we received was so great. They have an amazing collection of art work from all parts of India. Each floor is uniquely designed. The dedicated manager spent the whole day with us explaining each and every part of the art collection. The food was homely and delicious. Children had great fun.

          Best road trip
Had visited this beautiful place for one night stay with my parents and inlaws.Once in life time experience. its so beautiful that two eyes are not enough to see marvellous depiction of full mythology,Indian culture. It requires minimum 4-6hrs to see all art sculptures, paintings, statues.Special thanks to guide Srinivasan who explains everything with stories and gives overall view of this beautiful place. I would suggest everyone to take 6-8 or 10 hrs package to see leisurely everything and click infinite pics. Few suggestions food is tasty but slow service ,great hospitality but overnight stay requires few improvements like keeping all essentials in hotel, making hooks or hangers to keep clothes, arrangement to keep soap etc few other basic things. They should follow food timings Overall we had great memorable experience..

A breathtaking 3D art resort for functions and celebrations.
I have been to this resort twice. It is unquestionably the most unique and awe inspiring place. The ambience is extraordinary, with its custom made sculptures and artwork. The whole place is filled with majestic carvings. I understand that the carvings and sculptures in this were not made simply for decoration. These were created from the lifelong passion of a connoisseur, who did not want this visual splendour to be restricted to his personal collection, and bequeathed it to posterity by commissioning this resort in his later years. The food is amazing, but if one is looking for non-veg, this is not the place for them. But who wants non-veg when the visual feast is before them?

Good for foreigners. May not be compelling for Indians
The place depicts our old folk stories, religious stories, cultures, traditions etc. Definitely anyone will enjoy and relax. We being from traditional Hindu families have been exposed to all of these from early childhood. It wasn’t very compelling to us because of that. If you are visiting Hasan or mangalore from Bangalore, you may plan to stop over for an hour or two, enjoy and move on. 1hr is usually enough and you can extend it if you really need. Guides aren’t required unless you don’t know anything about Hindu mythology and Indian culture. Post pandemic the place is still being revived.

          Excellent! Must visit!
We stayed overnight at this resort. Its a hidden gem just an hour drive from Bangalore. Each piece of art is so unique and the entire idea of narrating stories and our culture through art is commendable. The entire place is clean and well maintained. The food spread is good and staff are very hospitable. Definitely a must visit place to spend a weekend in a meaningful way with family.

          Visualizing the Puranas
Really a heaven on earth. We, three families went on recent holidays. Received warm welcome and they explained about various packages. It has 6 floors to cover. Each floor has some theme, Lord Krishna's stories, Lord Siva's stories, Lord Budda's stories etc. Mr. Srinivas, a guide from their side explained us in detailed manner. They got a great and rare collection of Tanjore and kalankari arts. Light show on Dasavathara is worth watching. 108 dancing postures of Lord Nataraja (Lord Siva) are superb. Inhouse canteen, resting places, kids play area, very royal function hall are highlights of this place. We are fortunate to meet founders' son and his wife. They are so sweet and gave us great hospitality. I strongly recommend this place.

The guide took us around and explained each sculpture and painting. We were a group of ten family and friends. We reached the place by 8 am for the breakfast. After which the guide took us around the place and explained each of the sculptures and painting. The flooring caught my eye. Each of the room has a different flooring and no two rooms have a similar floor. The lunch was excellent. After lunch we spent time in the meditation hall. After coffee and snacks we left the place by sunset. A very good experience.

Once in a life time experience. Vibrant depiction of mythology and art in various forms of sculptures, monuments, paintings. Amazing story telling about various kathas in Hindu mythology. Closest to nature, various indoor and outdoor games which will take us back to childhood. It's truly a temple, cultural museum, resort, nature park and many things in one tranquil place. Mr Krishna, Mr Srinivasa and their team gave us a memorable hospitality which truly upholds our culture. To finally top it up, a hearty meal and snacks when needed - more than satisfying. Must visit for all to know, learn, get enlightened about our rich Heritage. Totally worth it.

We had one of the wonderful experiences in the recent times! The whole place is abuzz with the Sanatana Dharma and from the entrance to the complete tour, the whole place is so beautifully conceptualized, created and maintained is definitely no small task! Anantaraman Swamiji's ambitious venture has not only brought into this world a thousands of years of history of our ancient past but also has given life to each and every well known scripture and its stories in our puranas and vedas and other works that we go into that era in every part of the museum! The best part is the staff and hospitality that was meted out to us was outstanding and the food which is part of the package is so homely and amazing that we were really overwhelmed! The whole area is stretched out green with coconut and other trees and plans spanning across 25 acres and museum stands tall in middle of the place! A must visit for one and all and experience the whole sensation which cannot be expressed more in the words :-).. I urge each one of you to take time out of your busy schedule and plan a visit to Omthara which is just 70 kms from south bangalore. Do book it in advance a day or two before you plan as the team has to make sure they are ready to welcome you for this wonderful and inspiring tour.. Best wishes to the team Omthara

It is not very often that we get to see individuals contributing to a cause and national heritage through their collections as much as a Government or an organisation or can do. We do see one in OmThara Kala Kuteera, which is quite close to Bengaluru city, an exemplary collection of sculptures, paintings, artefacts etc. This place is unique because the collector has also designed the place himself with utmost attention to details, bringing artisans from different parts of the country. The place is sprawling, with plenty of greenery, peacocks making it even more beautiful . A lot to learn through them, one day is not enough.

Absolutely amazing experience of Indian hospitality. Apart from its beauty the historical architecture also deciphers so much knowledge as to what happened in the past and why we follow the practice in the present.
We were greeted warmly by our guide Srinivasa and also Kisan who took us around the property, served us homely & delicious food (as per our preference, taken prior to the visit) and bid us a fond farewell with small takeaway goodies.

        It’s a must visit !

Excellent place for family and business outing

Unbelievable lifetime great experience at OmThara. It was a great endeavour to rejuvenate the relationships, make new relationships, celebrate the life, celebrate elderly, surender to the almighty, aimed to do good for all and the world. What else title could have been better than "ನಾವು ನಮ್ಮವರು"

My vocabulary is too poor to explain the feel of content and feel of joy that we and our elderly have enjoyed and taken away.

Thankyou is too small word to Kishan and Brindala for organising such a selfless and amazing celebration. Realized the meaning of ವಸುದೈವಕುಟುಂಬಕಂ
