- Roving042159081400 contributionsWildlife and PalacesI had a weekend free after conference in Bangalore. I signed up for the wildlife tour at Bandipur and Mysore. This was a great way to spend the 2 days exploring the rich wildlife as well as cultural heritage of the erstwhile Kingdom of Mysore. Anyone who has 2 days in Bangalore should do this. It's a great way to spend the weekend.Written 14 September 2024

Architectural wonders in Hampi,Aihole, Pattadakal and Badami. Unbelievable cave temples cut into rocks in Badami. See architectures influencing Angkor Wat right here in Karnataka. - Jet269816813970 contributionsMorning vibes at ChitradurgaThe trip was so good as the climate was conducive and we decided to climb the fort early morning. The guide knows all the information about the fort and minutely was explaining the details about the fort. The story of the brave lady of Chitradurga was inspiring and it is proud to see that woman folk were empowered then. Different kinds of birds in the fort were treat to eyes. The winds at the top of the hill where Hidambeshwar temple is situated, is an experience of life. The festival that is conducted during holy celebration explained by the guide was happening in front of me. I could feel that I was participating in the festival.Written 26 August 2024
- Jet269816813970 contributionsHampi the UniqueAn amazing city unearthed. One could imagine the wealthy life of then kingdom and it's great administration by seeing the remains. Also a city of temples as we see many temples built during Vijaya Nagar Empire wherever we turned. The boulders around the city gives a unique flavour to the place. The giant sculptures of Gods are not seen before in another place. Should have been promoted by the Government very well considering its importance. River Thungabadra flows adjoining happily making the place lush green. A memorable place and must visit in one life timeWritten 26 August 2024
- GrandTour637089569160 contributionsAmazing experience in ChitradurgaChitradurga fort is a marvelous creation. It is such an underrated place. I didn't know much abt the same until I stepped in. We had our guide who literally took us through the experience of the fort explaining the architecture, the famous stry behind the fort, and the breathtaking views all around the place. It was like a time travel experience. Also it was great to see the world famous monkey Raja defying gravity with his climbing skills. Too anyone exploring Karnataka. I would definitely say this is a must vist. Thanks to 5 senses for this memorable experienceWritten 26 August 2024
- GrandTour637089569160 contributionsMost memorable journey to HampiI would like to thank 5 senses tours for this memorable experience to Hampi. Where do I start, the journey from banglore to Hampi via car was something that I was grumpy about but as the journey started I was so elated to see beautiful sunflower, kambu farms to my left and right and picturesque windmill on the mountains which looked straight out of a movie set. Coming to Hampi , we met our guide Mr. Rajesh who was soo knowledgeable and passionate about his wrk and loaded us with all the history and significance of this magnificent place. Some of my favourites where the Virupaksha temple , the elephants resting place, the queen's palace watch towers. Felt like I was walking through the sets of the movie Ayirathil Oruvan. Also the lunch which was arranged for us in a local home was the cherry on the top of this overall experience. People here were soo warm and kind felt completely safe travelling with my mom. Big thanks to Mr.Sathish for taking care with any of our concerns being the best photographer knowing the best angles and giving us all inputs about the local place cuisine and suggesting the best food joints . Our driver Mr. Murthy was an amazing always recieved us with a smile on his face. I would definitely suggest everyone to avail 5 senses tours for this beautiful experience.Written 25 August 2024

- li0ntraveler0 contributionsExploration with ColleaguesWe arrived early morning in Bangalore on a Sunday and decided to make use of our day in Bangalore exploring the sites. Supritha was our tour guide and was flexible to allow us a later start time to allow us to sleep for a few ours. She did a great job of showing us around at our pace and giving us choices along the way. We were thankful for opportunity to see the local culture and spirit of Bangalore!Written 22 August 2024
- robertsT7096UQ0 contributionsSacred Bull walking tour in Bangalore with guideVignesh was knowledgeable and taught me quite a bit about Indian history and culture. The Lalbaugh gardens were amazing. Vignesh also taught me the proper way to eat Idli and Sanbar! I toured on a Thursday and one of the temples was quite active with worshippers. I had not witnessed a Hindu ceremony like the one I saw and it was very enlightening.Written 22 August 2024
- KirstenR3800 contributionsExperiencing how the city shops and eatsExperiencing the vast complex of KR Market on a Friday evening was just incredible . We started in pouring monsoon rain but my guide, Divakar came prepared and navigated us through the various sections with ease. The flower market (indoors ) was a joy to behold- heady scents and colours with vendors laughing and chatting as they threaded their flowers. We then made our way to food street and thankfully the rain stayed away. This was such a happy experience for a foodie like me. Divakar introduced me to all the local delicious foods and I only wish I could have tried more but I was just so full after about 7 dishes. The atmosphere is fun and lighthearted as the vendors call out and families and friends stand on the street chatting and eating. Wonderful evening in the city, thank you to 5 senses and Divakar !Written 16 August 2024
- K5825QZnataliep0 contributionsSuch a fabulous trip! What a fantastic trip! As a solo female traveler, my driver Mohan made me feel comfortable and safe my entire day. My guides at both locations were fantastic, but my guide at the UNESCO Site was second-to-none. Her knowledge was impeccable. She took her time explaining every aspect of the temple to me. I cannot recommend this trip enough!Written 8 August 2024

The tour was well organized and Prashant our guide was knowledgeable and honest enough to recommend the right stores for shopping. Tour was also catered to our needs which was perfect as that flexibility allowed us more time in shopping. The driver was also knowledgeable. Overall great experience and we would highly recommend.

Bottom line up front: The tour was wonderful, and I look forward to booking more experiences with 5 Senses Tours.
I had a particular set of interests that are different from most tourists. Specifically, I was interested in the military history of the princely state of Mysore in general and the Seringapatam fort in particular. 5 Senses arranged a guide for me who knew the history of Mysore from the fourteenth century to independence, and was able to take me on a multisensory tour of the Anglo-Mysore wars of the 18th century. It was fantastic.
We managed to see all the main attractions such as the Daria Daulat Bagh and the City Palace, as well as experience the markets and Mysore pak.
5 Senses ensured that I saw the things that I wanted to see and the things I needed to see in order to fully experience Mysore.
I can't recommend 5 Senses highly enough!

My family and I booked a 2 day tour with 5 Senses Tour group. From the first communication, I was well cared for. Responses to questions were very fast, customizations handled easily and the guide we were paired with was excellent. Communications were easy and I very much appreciated being put into contact with our guide well before our trip to establish a precise meeting location and I was appreciative of the tour operator to share a photo of our guide so we would know who to look for.
Shiva, our guide, was an absolute delight! He has a deep passion for Mysore and for its history. He provided the appropriate amount of historical information for all of the sites we would see. He was thoughtful in regularly asking if we had any questions and willingly shared cultural information to help us understand our surroundings even more.
One of our last stops when leaving Mysore was at a sweets shop where he bough some Mysore Pay for us to try. Don’t leave the city without trying it for yourself (if you love sugar, ghee and garbanzo flour). What a nice treat for us and thoughtful of our guide to share a local treat with us. We had complete trust and faith in our guide, the tour operator and the plan they set our for us.
Highly recommend 5 Senses and Shiva. A wonderful experience, fantastic guide and great service throughout.

Visiting our daughter who is taking summer classes in India, we did not know where to start. I reached out to 5 Senses tours who took care of everything. My wife and I took a day trip to Mysore and we couldn’t have been more satisfied. Our tour guide Divakar shared his knowledge of Indian history with us and from the moment we were picked up from our hotel until we were dropped off, he made the entire trip worthwhile. We would definitely recommend 5 Senses tours and if you’re planning a trip to Mysore, I hope you get Divakar, who is an asset to the company. We also booked tours to Hampi and Chennai through 5 Senses and I’m sure we are going to enjoy those experiences as well.

I am very happy that despite my busy schedule I could join this amazing day-trip. Mysore Palace is one of the most unique palaces of the world. A place you must visit in India. As a solo female traveller from Hungary, I felt very safe with my guide and driver Diwakar, and I really appreciated also the stops at the huge cocoon market and the colourful flower market. I highly recommend this cultural trip to all travellers who plan sightseeings around Bangalore.

We signed up for the Royal Mysore tour organised by Five senses tours. It was an incredible experience. Our guide Chandrashekar had core knowledge on history of palace and mysore he is splendid and made our every penny spend on this tour worth. We had wonderful experience of the monumental architecture marvel Mysore palace. We also saw a lesser known but equally fascinating Palace of Tipu Sultan at srirangapatna. The murals there about the Anglo Mysore wars were very eye catching.
I would highly recommend this tour.

Myself and a few of my colleagues had a day to spare on a work trip to Bangalore. While researching what to do we decided to go with this tour. All through the booking process they were extremely responsive and helpful. I was wary of the long drive but honestly, there was so much to do the 3 hours flew. If visiting Mysore, I would definitely recommend this trip as it comes with guides (Mysore palace is so huge and busy would be hard to navigate without) and more stops - market, DELICIOUS lunch and Tipu Sultans Summer palace and dungeon. Everyone had a great time and would definitely recommend this trip. Our driver Tippesh was very relaxed, informative on the journey and helpful.

Had a wonderful day at Mysore. Contacted 5 Senses Tours at 10.00 pm at night to book a tour the next day, no problem, what a service to be available at that time. The tour was fantastic including the driver. Highly recommend this company.

This tour was a really excellent choice to go on. Having the full day trip was loads of fun and meant we got to explore a wide variety of interesting and beautiful locations across Mysore. Vignesh was an exceptional guide and accommodated a number of requests and hopes we had skilfully and quickly. Despite being new to India, we felt safe and guided from the first moment.

We had a fabulous day with Five senses tours as we visited Mysore. We were picked up at 730 am from our hotel and had a smooth drive to Mysore. Our guide was amazing . He first took us to Srirangapatna and showed us the summer palace of Tipu Sultan. We had a great time listening to the stories of the war between Mysore and the English. The highlight of the day was the Mysore palace. It was spellbinding to say the least. Some of the other places we saw were a sand sculpture museum and the Philomena church. It was a day very well spent!
