About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- carabX5440LP0 contributionsGreat tourVignesh was an excellent guide. He was very knowledgeable about the sites we visited and provided in-depth answers to all of our questions.Written 11 February 2025
- clarenicheall0 contributionsA Must Do Experience.I could not recommend this tour more! If you are a food-lover, you must book. Jai was very kind, knowledgeable and good company. He showed us the flower market, fruit and veg wholesalers and then we got the Metro to have many tasty treats at a street food market. Honestly it was like eating 3 different delicious dinners - so many delicacies!Written 11 February 2025

- Dream047615601970 contributionsIf you have the timeThis tour requires some driving time. The highlight for me was the silk pod market. It is a fascinating place and learning how the pods are sold was very interesting. From there we visited a toy factory. That was somewhat interesting and may have been made better if more in the history or significance of the place was shared. The toy store we stopped at had a lot of variety. We also went to a recreation of historic times and villages where artifacts and relics were housed. This was okay and was made a little confounding by having a grounds person, perhaps docent follow us through. He was speaking over the guide and was hard to understand. The place was still under some construction but it was not obtrusive. There was some signage in English that provided historical perspective and that could have been enhanced. Our lunch stop was excellent. We ate with our hand off a banana leaf in traditional fashion. Final stop was the 400+ year old banyan tree. Some historical background on the tree would have been more interesting than pointing out the obvious way in which the tree grows and expands. More about the tree origins in India would have been of interest. My guide Vignesh spoke excellent English, communicated well regarding pickup details and was very accommodating. I am not sure I would call this a folk art tour, but some of the sites were of interest to me.Written 27 January 2025

- Peet H0 contributionsThrough Ancient KarnatakaA wonderful trip through the heart of ancient Karnataka. Vast monumental sites at Hampi and Aihole. A wonderful visit to Virupaksha and Galaganatha temples at Pattadakal. The enigmatic caves of Badami. A walkaround the Agastya Lake, going up the hill to visit 2 ancient monuments, the beautiful Boothnath temple close to the lake. Extensively guided by the sound and knowledgeable guides Rajesh (Hampi) and Kotresh (Aihole and Pattadakal). This 5day tour, very well organised through 5Senses Tours, we were accompanied and driven around by our most friendly driver Mohan.Written 17 January 2025
- Ulhas_Vairagkar0 contributionsBeautiful SculpturesThe temples at Halebid and Belur are just magnificent! The intricate carvings left us spellbound. While elements have damaged the sculptures somewhat, these are still very impressive. ASI has done a decent job in beautifying the the whole complex and it is reasonably clean. Worth a visit for anybody looking for great architecture and sculptures.Written 17 January 2025

- jaxinthesun0 contributionsTop notch tour to MysoreHad a great day with Satish to go see the Mysore palace. The ride was clean, cool and comfortable, with plenty of water. We stopped at several attractions and had special guides at those locations that further provided an elevated experience. There were personalized stories and tours around the different sites. They really delivered a top level touring service, and all of the best places to take the photos. Lunch was delicious and local!Written 12 January 2025

I was on a business trip in Bangalore and had a free day so I decided to book the private city tour - my guide was Jay and I had a terrific time! Jay was very informative and gave me many details about all the sights that we visited, I learned a lot more about the city and the southern culture than I thought. Jay also took me to a vegetarian restaurant where I was the only foreigner, it was a special experience and the food was delicious. I am very grateful to have had this opportunity and to have had Jay as my guide. Taking a private tour is perfect if you have limited time and I highly recommend this to anyone visiting Bangalore!

Supritha took us on a wonderful adventure today through the city of Bangalore. We were 5 adults and 2 small children and she was able to give us all a special experience, even with the crowds at the peanut festival. The botanical gardens are a beautiful sanctuary in the city and I am glad I got to see them. She took us to a place I never would have gone to for lunch which was excellent. The driver's were expert as well. I highly recommend this tour if you want to see the highlights of the city in one day.

I had a fantastic experience on this daily tour of Bengaluru! Our guide, Diwakar, was excellent—knowledgeable, friendly, and made the day truly enjoyable. We visited Bengaluru Palace, Vidhana Soudha, ISKCON Temple, and Sri Big Bull Temple, covering a lot of amazing places in just one day. The highlight for me was the incredible traditional lunch served on banana leaves—such a unique and delicious experience! The visit to the local market was also a great way to immerse in the city’s vibrant culture. This tour is a great way to see a lot in a short time, and I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Bengaluru!

It’s our first time in India, Bangalore and I would like to Divakar for organizing our trip for us throughout. He’s got such a warm personality and very knowledgeable. We appreciate his willingness to share with us the history of the city and how it has developed over time, whilst also patiently explaining and allowing us to try local food, attempt at eating how locals do. He was also a great driver, an amazing navigator and we never felt safer in his hands.

I had an amazing day exploring Bangalore with my guide, Divakar. He was incredibly knowledgeable, kind and generous. Additionally, he was very accommodating - I had an early morning flight on my one day off and he rearranged the itinerary so we could start a bit later in the morning.
10/10 I would recommend this for anyone wanting to explore the city of Bangalore!

Thanks to the team at 5 Senses Walks I have the most extraordinary adventure in Bangalore today. I was promptly picked up at my hotel and then taken to the Botanic Garden for a guided tour and refreshing coconut drink. We then visited the Bull Temple where I had the privilege of learning about local history, spirituality and culture. We stopped for another delightful juice treat which was vibrant and full of flavour. We then travelled to the Iskon Temple where we saw beautiful tributes to Krishna. We then travelled to the Bangalore Palace to learn about former rulers of the Mysore and Bangalore regions. My travel guide was so knowledgeable and shared his insights into the history of the region. Our final stop before lunch was the Legislative Chambers which was architecturally fascinating coming so many different styles. We finished the day with a traditional Southern Indian meal which was exquisite. My tour guide and my driver made me feel comfortable, safe and cared for the entire time. They were incredibly knowledgeable and really appreciated their time and expertise. I would recommend this tour to anyone looking to cover the highlights of Bangalore with limited time, solo female travellers and for those who wanting a curated tour of the city.

Very nice tour! My guide Divakar was incredibly competent and eloquent, I learned a lot about the history of Bengaluru and Hinduism. He has also supported me in various shops when acting - it is already a different situation when a local is there and has a say.

We arrived early morning in Bangalore on a Sunday and decided to make use of our day in Bangalore exploring the sites. Supritha was our tour guide and was flexible to allow us a later start time to allow us to sleep for a few ours. She did a great job of showing us around at our pace and giving us choices along the way. We were thankful for opportunity to see the local culture and spirit of Bangalore!

My in-laws are from Bangalore, but we wanted to do a tour for the convenience of getting a driver and fitting in the major sites. We had planned it for our family with kids (6 and 8) but then my in laws decided to join us. They were able to get us a traveler minibus, is you have more than 4 people, this is THE way to travel. We had a driver, the 6 of us, and then the guide (Satish).
Satish was like seeing Bangalore with a relative who is an expert on the city. He is able to answer almost any question, gives great information, helps you plan and organize your time at each location to see the most important things, and adjusts as needed throughout the day. We were able to see all the sights we were hoping to see including lalbaugh gardens, nandi (bull) Temple and Ganesha temples, iskan temple, and Banglore palace. It is exactly as we had hoped, just enough time at each to get a feel for the place and learn, but not to make a day of each site. He worked with the driver to make drop offs and pickups smooth, which is the key to fitting this much into a one day.
Satish goes above and beyond, he haggled and bought our 8 year old a drum at the bull Temple from a street vendor who he thought was charging us to much, and in an emergency bathroom need for one of our children while driving, he stopped the van and went door to door until he found a bathroom we could use at an office building. It was a life saver!
He took many pictures of our family both in my phone and his, which is so helpful as we generally always have someone missing in our pictures and he sent all the photos he took on his own through WhatsApp to us. This tour is not the cheapest, even by Western standards, but with how hassle free it was, covering all entrance fees and navigating each location, it was certainly worth it to us and we would highly recommend it!

The trip was really well organised with great communication from both the organiser and guide. Divakar (my guide) was insightful and shared lots of knowledge and history, he really made the experience worthwhile and ensured I was happy throughout, including taking lots of photos for me. The early morning visit to the botanical gardens was a great way to start the day and Divakar shared lots of information about the different plants and trees found within the gardens. He also gave in depth history and insight on the way to each attraction and helped me get involved with lots of local customs. Seeing both the state parliament and the palace was amazing and memorable, especially with the audio guide at the palace. We also enjoyed a traditional local lunch, eating off banana leaves, which was a great experience. I would definitely recommend this tour and thank you Divakar for making it such a great trip.
