        A Great Mysore Experience
Great tour that was well worth the price and time. Praveen, our guide, was passionate about sharing the history of all the sites we visited, very open to answering all our questions, however simple or complex, and a great photographer, who knew just where and when to take great shots. He also was very attentive to the group’s dietary restrictions and selected a lunch spot that accommodated everyone’s tastes. All in all, a great day. Would highly recommend.

        Mysore and more.
This wasn’t simply a trip to Mysore palace. Praveen enhanced this with wonderful food choices for breakfast and lunch, some off the beaten track visits which really added to the trip. Good pace to the trip, always moving along without it feeling too intense. If your in and around Bangalore I would recommend this trip and if and when we’re back in Bangalore I’ll be in touch to see what else Praveen can help us with.

        Insightful and inspiring
Praveen is a natural storyteller which made this experience all the more worthwhile. The story begins at Cubbon Park and through his words you can imagine the old British neighborhood and army brigades come to life. Lunch spot is certainly local as confirmed by friends and family that lives in Bangalore. The famous banana leaf restaurant was well regarded by locals and was a family favorite to many. Praveen is from Bangalore so not only was this tour historical, he also shared how the city transformed through the decades in his eyes. Will certainly plan a tour with Praveen again if given the chance.

        Stunning Sights
This was a great tour. I was picked up from the hotel at 6:30am, and we stopped en route for a local breakfast. The Lepakshi temple and area was amazing and well worth the trip. We then called into the astonishing site of the Isha Foundation, before taking in another temple which was a brilliant demonstration of three different architectural styles as the temple was extended. We then went up to the Nandi Hills - and I do recommend the Nandi Hills wine, which was worth the extra cost. We sat by the window next to a stunning view of the plains below. The guide was knowledgeable and I thoroughly enjoyed the day.

Interesting and beautiful day trip with a great guide
We were in Bangalore for the first time and booked three trips with Praveen. We wanted to see both the city and the surrounding area and learn more about it. Praveen is a dear, cordial guide who knows a lot and has partly led us to places far away from mass tourism. We didn't have to queue anywhere for a long time at the tourist places and we always felt in good hands. Praveen is very generous and has a good heart. We had a wonderful time and can highly recommend his excursions. Thank you very much for the great time!

Highlight of our trip to India
Praveen was an excellent guide! With a deep understanding of Indian history and politics, he's not only warm and approachable but also makes the tour incredibly valuable. If you're keen on exploring fascinating historic and cultural sites in the Mysore area with insights into their context, this tour is an excellent choice. Additionally, it unexpectedly takes you to beautiful rural areas, adding to the overall experience. It was indeed a fantastic day!

A thorough Bangalore / Mysore plus more experience
School trip with group of 4 students and 2 staff An early 6.30am start, followed by a long informative drive out of Bengalaru, learning about the history of the city and its passing landmarks from our guide Pradeep Kools. Pradeep kept us entertsined all day, with long tales, jokes and his pragmatic views on life. Pradeep was very accommoding. He took the time to explain the Indian vegetables that we were unfamiliar with. He fitted in the coracle rude which was extra. He made arrangements to meet my family friend along the route and took me to a government approved shop to buy silk to make into a dress. A fabulous day, well worth the cost. Will definitely recommend it. We ate a delicious South Indian breakfast, saw the gathering of silk cocoons ready for auctioning, visited: the 13th century (built 1268) Hindu Temple at Somnathpur, the Mysore Palace, local flower and veg market before stopping for lunch at the River Cauvery (a sacred Hindu river), where we also took a coracle boat ride. The coracle is used for fishing. The afternoon saw us visit the Tipu Sultan landmarks, the fort, his grave, the water gate (a secret entry into the Fort), and his Summer Palace with its very beautiful wall paintings.

Lovely Day Tour of Mysore with Excellent Guide
Had an amazing day tour experience in Mysore with freelance guide Raghunath (Raaghu) MS. Our extraordinary experience included Shri Chamundeshwari Temple, Mysore Palace, fruit/vegetable/flower market and other unique experiences. Raaghu is an articulate, highly knowledgeable and delightful guide that I highly recommend.

        Awesome experience and exceptional tour
We took the Mysore tour as a way to explore more than just Bengaluru‘s city center and enrichen our experiences also in the rural areas of south india. This tour is an absolute must for everybody who wants to really get to know indian culture. Our guide Praveen was exceptionally knowledgeable and a really awesome person. He made sure that we had the best possible trip on that day! Additionally to the interesting and fascinating cultural sights we also head great food in various local places which were delicious. We‘d suggest everyone who wants to see more of india then just some bucket list tourist attractions to take part in this awesome trip

Take this tour to see more than just Bangalore!
It was my first trip to India, and I was there for business, but wanted to make a point of seeing more than just Bangalore. So glad I took this tour - it gave me a great picture of life outside the city, brought some needed moments of tranquility after a week in the bustling city, and introduced me to some beautiful historical gems. If you have just a day or two to explore, don’t miss this! Praveen was kind, energetic, knowledgeable, and attentive. He noticed I was particularly drawn to the animals we drove by and just decided to pull over on the side of the road to take a closer look. The result: I got to hold a two-week-old goat - a real highlight for me! The best thing about the tour was seeing the day-to-day of the area: the carts transporting huge piles of sugar cane to the sugar mill, the motorcycles with big bags of silkworm cocoons on their way to the auction, and the livestock, whose horns had been recently decorated to celebrate the yearly harvest festival. I also loved our breakfast spot, where I got to check off a bunch more South Indian foods from my list of things to try. In terms of historical sights, the Somnathpur temple was definitely my favorite, and we were there early enough that it wasn’t too crowded. I wish I could retain all of the knowledge Praveen shared - I learned so much! This tour is an investment, but as a solo traveler, it was totally worth it to have Praveen navigate the systems, etiquette, and tourist traps for me, not to mention the roads. There are many other amazing things I saw that I didn’t mention here - you’ll have to take the tour to find out!

        Unique experience of Karnataka
It was a packed day with unique experiences. I enjoyed the pace of the tour. We did not waste time at tourist traps and had plenty of time to enjoy all the sights without a rush. The day started with breakfast and unlike many other operators, Praveen took us to a place where locals had breakfast. There were so many meals I tried for the first time in my life... On the way to Mysore we stopped by an amazing temple. This was the highlight of the trip for me. I have never seen anything like that. It is beautiful, very well preserved and has more sculptures than I've ever seen. The guide pointed to a lot of details I would've missed otherwise. It was interesting to see rural India on the way and I appreciated Praveen stopping the car for pictures. The Mysore palace is much more grand than I expected. Praveen added a lot of color to the place through stories and explanations. We then had a delightful lunch and finished the day with a Summer Palace that was, though not as grand, still interesting. Praveen made it so much more interesting by connecting the people who stayed there and who were depicted there with the well known world history.

Praveen was an amazing guide who knows his stuff and passionate about the tour and sharing what he know. He made the tour really fun. The flower market and temple and palace were all great stops and must see. Sometimes there extra gems on the tour depending on the day which was extra special. Worth it!

        Wonderful experience
Ramesh delivered an exceptional tour experience, tailoring the day to our preferences and engaging in insightful discussions. His extensive knowledge of the visited locations was impressive. Not only did he respect my food preferences by modifying meals, but he also showcased a variety of incredible places – from the vibrant flower market in the early morning to the silk cocoon auction house, an ancient temple, and the magnificent Mysore Palace. It's truly worthwhile to invest both time and money in exploring these treasures with Ramesh, a genuine expert guide and a newfound friend. Additionally, his thoughtful gesture of capturing moments throughout the day and sharing the photos further enhanced the overall experience.

I booked this walking tour on a whim while waiting for a delayed travelling partner. I was born in Bangalore but had never really gotten to know it as an adult. It was the best day of my visit! Praveen is enthusiastic and full of iinteresting and unusual nformation. I was the only person he had for the day so he customized it for me, including a pit stop in front of the nursing home I was born in and a lunch that served up some of my favorite foods! We spent all day walking and talking and I can't recommend a trip with Praveen highly enough. It will remain a highlight of my time in India for me.

The tour with Praveen was a very good choice to get a deeper insight in this booming city and broadened our horizons on a single day. At very short notice he was flexible and provided a tailor-made-tour to meet our special and varied interests. We experienced a very diversified tour through Bangalore with nice and very comforting food and drink breaks in between. Even myself, who visited the city many times before and worked here, Praveen's knowledge and ability to impart it gave me a deeper and more profound understanding in the city's history and the way it works today. A knowledge that no guide book or other person could give me before. Our tour ended in a very satisfied and chilled mood in one of Bangalore' s roof top beer bars. Apart from his broad knowledge and well organised tours (being just on the right time at the right place), Praveen is full of enthusiasm and hospitality because he really loves what he does.

What a wonderful way to be introduced to Bangalore! We got to visit many interesting sights in the city : the botanical garden, kR market, a hindu temple, an ancient fort, Bangalore Palace, the government museum, and an old church. Praveen from Hidden Gem Tours is a gem of a tour guide himself :-) He is not only very knowledgeable of the city and its history but also extremely helpful, and fun to be with. Visiting the botanical garden with Praveen was a delightful experience. His knowledge of the plant species and their origins was really impressive! The highlight of the day was the flower market at KR market where the colors and fragrances were so invigorating! A photographer heaven! I highly recommend this tour.

I had no idea Bangalore had so much to offer! The tour was everything we expected and a little bit more. Praveen picked us (3 colleagues) up from the hotel on time, and took us around each location with useful and interesting commentary all the way. Lunch was a choice of carefully selected locations. The sights and sounds of the flower market were incredible as were some of the treasures in the museum. We would never have been brave enough to visit these locations without a local guide. I would recommend this tour for business travellers looking to experience Bangalore, but nervous/unsure where to,start. Praveen takes you everywhere, guides you through everything, all is included - you can book this tour and enjoy a day out without worry.

I highly recommend this tour to any traveller who would like to learn about history, culture and cuisine, be entertained, and truly connect with Bengaluru City. Pradeep was an exceptional guide with a whip crack sense of humour, whose depth of knowledge and passion about the history of Bengalaru and Southern India was worthy of a university history lecturer posting. The landmarks we visited covered vast cross section of society and time - the highlight for me were the State Legislature and the flower market. We also enjoyed a delicious meal at Bengalaru’s best vegetarian restaurant. The logistics were handled superbly - with clear communication around pick up times, an air conditioned car with driver, and bottled water supplied. I felt safe as a solo female on the private tour at all times. Have booked into Hidden Gems Tour’s Mysore day trip and Nandi Hills day trip tours too while I am in Bangalore as I had such a great experience on this first one.

This was a fantastic tour. Praveen graciously let us book the night before when we realized we only had one full day in Bengaluru. Ramesh was kind, very knowledgable on a variety of subjects, and helped us navigate the city, temples, traffic, and the market. He also adjusted the tour based on some things we had read about and were interested in. Mahesh was a capable and safe driver, so much so that we hired him again to take us to the airport. If you're traveling to Bengaluru, do yourself a favor and book this tour. There's no way we could have done alone even half of what Ramesh and Mahesh guided us through!

I had an EXCELLENT time with Praveen in Bangalore. He is a true professional, and did a great job crafting the itinerary for the day. He is also very knowledgeable about the history of the area and India in general, and I learned a lot from him. In addition, he made arrangements for parking and eating so that we wouldn't have to wait long. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this tour!!

What an amazing way to see the city of Bangalore!! Pradeep was extremely knowledgeable about the sites as well as the culture and history of the city overall. I learned so much great information and he made the experience unforgettable! The gardens were so nice to experience as a break from the bustle of the city. The market was such an experience and was nice to have Pradeep help guide us through along with visiting a temple. Lunch break was perfectly timed and we were able to avoid large lines with our guide so we never had to wait for anything. The tour is well balanced and pace throughout the day. Bangalore is so big and I highly recommend this tour to see the highlights and learn more history and culture from a local guide. I look forward to booking a tour to Mysore with him as well!

I was in Bangalore for business and had a day off, so I took a guided tour of the city. Praveen is a great tour guide. A day before he introduced himself and verified the pickup from my hotel. the next morning he took me on a journey through the history of this magnificent city He gave me insights and facts about the town, history, culture, religion and much more. All in fluent clear English and always with a smile.
Bangalore is a crowded city and for a newcomer it can be quite intimidating. With Praveen's guidance and attention I felt safe and comfortable at all times, and boy he's one hell of a driver. It is clear that Praveen is very knowledgeable and passionate guide. He knows the city and its history and is very communicative. I highly recommend this tour from Hidden Gems.

The Bangalore Tour with Praveen was truly an enriching adventure that anyone visiting the city would enjoy. I most certainly wouldn’t have ventured into the bustling and colorful wholesale market on my own, nor would I have discovered the historic South Indian lunch place that offered a unique dining experience. Praveen’s knowledge of history, good sense of humor and passion for telling the city’s stories made for a lively day. I especially appreciated Praveen’s knowledge of the botanical garden’s history and trees, and his decision to extend our time there when he learned I was so interested in it. Those wanting an interesting day out in Bangalore should take this tour, and I would join any other tour of his if I had more time to spend in India.
