What made this tour very special is because of the owner and the tour guide, Praveen. He is very passionate in explaining the history and what the places has to offer. It is not just about touring the places and having your picture taken. Praveen is able share his love for Bangalore which results to one's acquisition of knowledge through the tour experience.

We started the day with a filtered coffee outside the Lalbargh Botanical Garden which created time for the group to have a chat and build friendship. This is an important part of the tour for people who does not know each other.
We proceeded to the Lalbargh Botanical Garden which is spread over 240 acres. One day is not enough to explore the are but due to Praveen's expertise, he has navigated his way to show us rare species of trees and flowers. Knowing where they are located has enabled us to maximize our time in the garden and admire the beauty of the rare species. We were lucky that there was an ongoing flower show when we visited and the glass house was more beautiful because of this.

The KR market is a busy place and one would feel so alive with the colors and the scents of the flowers in the market. I have been to different flower markets in different countries but the KR market has it's own charm. With very vivid colors and huge varieties of flowers, one can't help but wonder about the beauty that nature brings and is able to enjoy in this place. The glass bangles were so beautiful and I can't help but wear it even during "regular days". I heard that it's only worn mostly during special occasions.

South Indian Lunch was perfect, it is authentic and Praveen's expertise does not stop on history and places. He's also an expert on what food to order which does not only promote the local food and culture but he ensures that he is able to balance it with food that a foreigner like me will be able to enjoy. This is very much appreciated by the group. This shows that Praveen takes care of the needs of his "guests" in his tour.

Other places that we have visited which made us speechless with the beauty and story behind it are Bangalore fort, Vidhana Soudha, Attara Kacheri, Bangalore Palace, Government Musuem and Holy Trinity Church.

Overall, I would very much encourage you to join this tour. I have joined it in my last weekend for a one month stay in Bangalore. And I wished that i have discovered Hidden Gems earlier as I would definitely want to join their other tour packages. That's how impressed I am with their services.

We knew the day would be wonderful when, after our pick up at the airport, we started this tour in the botanical garden, which is not only a "hidden gem" but tells so much about the history of Bangalore. The stories behind the creation of the garden and its development, its changes through the ages of rulers, and the history of its importance in science and commerce started off a day in which Praveen's deep grasp of history and love of the city became clear. The tour was truly comprehensive in content and in experiencing the breadth of the city. Temples and churches, streets and parks, art and history flowed together. The visit to the market, in particular the flower market, was a delight, as was the typical South Indian lunch we shared with Praveen. He was able to open up how the cultures of India and the British colonial history of Bangalore shaped the landscape and how each era contributed to the the tech and innovation city it has become. Each stop held another dimension of Bangalore and its multiple cultures and styles. Every detail was well-planned and perfect. We highly recommend Hidden Gems Tours for its excellent content and organization. Praveen's passion and preparation are so evident as he guides his clients on foot and in a car. Our deep appreciation to you, Praveen, and for your kind, thoughtful and always interesting format of Hidden Gems Tours. Praveen is also excellent in the pre-booking communication, we we especially appreciated as we planned our time in South India.

Praveen treated us to a real gem of a tour. Leaving promptly at 8am, we enjoyed a variety of Bangalore experiences and learned much about Bangalore and India culture. From starting out in the beautiful Botanical Garden, learning about the history and archaeology of the area, visiting the Bull Temple, savoring an amazing Southern Indian vegetarian lunch, and exploring British heritage and post Independence historical sites in the new city, we were captivated and enlightened. With a good balance of riding in comfortable air conditioned car in combination with walking to get closer to the milestones of the tour, this was a great day. I'm looking forward to connecting with Praveen again on my next visit to Bangalore!

I have lived in Bangalore for 7 years now. Whenever anyone visits I usually take them to the north for the Taj etc.

This time I was excited to have friends come to Bangalore and I wanted to show them around "my" city. I was so happy to come across Praveen and this wonderful tour he offers.

He was prompt and very accommodating. He was made for hospitality. He taught me so many new things about Bangalore and left my friends talking about the city for days.

The best part for me was the Flower market. Praveen can also get you into the oldest restaurant in town serving the best of South India's local menu without queuing.

Overall it was a great experience and I'd recommend this to anyone visiting this beautiful, diverse city.

I booked this walking tour on a whim while waiting for a delayed travelling partner. I was born in Bangalore but had never really gotten to know it as an adult. It was the best day of my visit! Praveen is enthusiastic and full of iinteresting and unusual nformation. I was the only person he had for the day so he customized it for me, including a pit stop in front of the nursing home I was born in and a lunch that served up some of my favorite foods! We spent all day walking and talking and I can't recommend a trip with Praveen highly enough. It will remain a highlight of my time in India for me.

The tour with Praveen was a very good choice to get a deeper insight in this booming city and broadened our horizons on a single day. At very short notice he was flexible and provided a tailor-made-tour to meet our special and varied interests. We experienced a very diversified tour through Bangalore with nice and very comforting food and drink breaks in between. Even myself, who visited the city many times before and worked here, Praveen's knowledge and ability to impart it gave me a deeper and more profound understanding in the city's history and the way it works today. A knowledge that no guide book or other person could give me before. Our tour ended in a very satisfied and chilled mood in one of Bangalore' s roof top beer bars. Apart from his broad knowledge and well organised tours (being just on the right time at the right place), Praveen is full of enthusiasm and hospitality because he really loves what he does.

What a wonderful way to be introduced to Bangalore! We got to visit many interesting sights in the city : the botanical garden, kR market, a hindu temple, an ancient fort, Bangalore Palace, the government museum, and an old church. Praveen from Hidden Gem Tours is a gem of a tour guide himself :-) He is not only very knowledgeable of the city and its history but also extremely helpful, and fun to be with. Visiting the botanical garden with Praveen was a delightful experience. His knowledge of the plant species and their origins was really impressive! The highlight of the day was the flower market at KR market where the colors and fragrances were so invigorating! A photographer heaven! I highly recommend this tour.

I had no idea Bangalore had so much to offer! The tour was everything we expected and a little bit more. Praveen picked us (3 colleagues) up from the hotel on time, and took us around each location with useful and interesting commentary all the way. Lunch was a choice of carefully selected locations. The sights and sounds of the flower market were incredible as were some of the treasures in the museum. We would never have been brave enough to visit these locations without a local guide. I would recommend this tour for business travellers looking to experience Bangalore, but nervous/unsure where to,start. Praveen takes you everywhere, guides you through everything, all is included - you can book this tour and enjoy a day out without worry.

This was a fantastic tour. Praveen graciously let us book the night before when we realized we only had one full day in Bengaluru. Ramesh was kind, very knowledgable on a variety of subjects, and helped us navigate the city, temples, traffic, and the market. He also adjusted the tour based on some things we had read about and were interested in. Mahesh was a capable and safe driver, so much so that we hired him again to take us to the airport. If you're traveling to Bengaluru, do yourself a favor and book this tour. There's no way we could have done alone even half of what Ramesh and Mahesh guided us through!

Pradeep was a great tour guide that provided in depth knowledge of Bangalore and its sites along with a solid sense of humor. To no fault of his own, the traffic in Bangalore is awful and you should keep that in mind when booking the tour, it’s all day because it takes that long to get in between sites.

The lunch delivered a classic South Indian meal that is sure to delight. The picture attached is of our lunch.

Overall, it was a good tour and you will definitely know what it’s like to live in Bangalore by the end of it.
