I chose an all day tour where my guide, Ashish met me at my train car after taking the night train from Nashik. I could not imagine finding anyone in the busy Agra Cantt train station other than this method. Ashish and his driver were both excellent in historical knowledge, timing, and sensitivity to my high levels of energy. We covered the entire highlights of Agra in one day. The following day, I had the same driver to Jaipur who was able to point out highlights during the drive, stopped at a local, clean restaurant along the way for tea, and drove though the entire day with a guide from Jaipur, dropping me off at the airport for my flight to Pune. It was an excellent 2 days and I saw everything! I highly recommend India Magic Tours for their efficient and personal response time, wonderful staff and well managed tours. And I highly recommend Ashish and his driver for a fabulous tour of a lifetime!

The temple and the peaceful Banganga were the highlights of the tour, and it was also nice to learn some pieces of history.

We had a wonderful time cooking in a local family home. The husband spoke excellent English and his wife made a delicious meal.

Rahul was an excellent guide and spoke very good English. It was very interesting to see the market and pottery making in Dharavi. It was a very special experience to be welcomed into his home and learn to make a fantastic meal with his wife. We made chicken biryani, paneer tikka masala, chapati, and a dessert all of which were fantastic.

We did the Dharavi tour and Mumbai Local tour. This was an amazing way to get to know the city. The guides, Divya and Ahad, were extremely friendly and knowledgeable. Both were young people from Mumbai who knew the city well and were a pleasure to spend time with. Everything was also well organized and started on time. We feel like we really experienced Mumbai in these 2 days.

We had the Elephanta Caves and city tour. It was perfectly organized. Indian Magic Tours staff came at our appartment and took us to south Mumbai. After a quick tour of Victoria’s station, we went to Gateway of India and took the boat. Once on Elephanta Islande, a guide took care of us. He was very clear and made us discover a lot of very interesting information about the caves and Hindou religion. After that and a little tour in a fishermen village, we went back. Then another guide came for the city tour. We went to Marine Drive, Malabar Hill and Kamala Nehru Park. We also visited a beautiful Hindou temple before Malabar Hill. This entire day experience was wonderful !

We had a private tour with the guide (Sunil) and driver. Sunil gave me a long tour of the Dharavi area of Mumbai. We only saw two sites during this tour, but I still had a nice day. I had another much shorter private tour the next day with another company and was able to see a lot more. I think the traffic was really bad on the day I went. Who knows?

I had a fun tour with our driver and guide Sunil. We saw Dabbawalla and then later we saw Dharavi slum. We spent 4 hours in the slum walking around. I enjoyed it greatly. Stopped to also buy some high-end saree at a clothing shop. No ferry ride.

I went to Mumbai for business. Since my flight arrived at 2:30am and could not check in , I took a same day trip to Taj Mahal. The tour company arranged me to take an early flight to Delhi and picked me up from the airport. The Driver John is good and the guide is very good too. He told the story, background for both the Taj Mahal and the nearby Agra Fort. He showed me where to take the best picture and I earned a few “Likes”. What is even better, the guide does not take any tips, he said this is company policy, which is not normally the case in India. Taj Mahal is very beautiful but not easy to go by yourself. I really recommend to take a private tour.

We absolutely loved this tour! We were on a cruise and didn’t have a lot of time, one day, to see the city. Our tour guide Sunil picked us up from the port and we got into a nice 4x4 Jeep. We saw all the major highlights. Sunil was excellent, great English, young and fun! He made it very interesting. We had a blast running around the city with him. Got off to a good start - we were met on time at the Port from our cruise ship an initially had a goodd rive around Mumbai. However the traffic soon started building up - we went to the Indian Gate for the Ferry but this was a public holiday and we were told over an hour to get on the Ferry and despite having been picke dup at 8, we were heading to midday and still hadn't gone to the Dharvani Slum. So we told the guide we would miss out on the Ferry Ride. We then drove for ages right out to the North of Mumbai - it ould appear to drop our guide Lawrencs at home and the driver then had to run back to take us to slums to meet our slum guide. The traffic was awful and in the end we had to agree to only 30 minutes with the slum guide and not the 90 minutes we could have had, if the guide had stuck to the itinerary an taken us there first. We will go back to Mumbai - we will not bopok another trip with this company.

Well organized tour before and during the event, Very good guides, knowledgeable, polite and always ready to do their best to provide a nice experience.

We arrived to Mumbai by cruise ship. Our guide Hasim was easily to located and had a sign with my name written amongst all the other tour operators. Hasim, although nice and friendly, seemed to have limited knowledge outside of the script he was given. Granted, we were asking some questions that are harder to answer, such as, "what building is this?" as we drove past it, but even for the main sites we visited - e.g. a statute outside of the train station, he was unable to answer. I would think Hasim would appeal to a younger crowd who just want to be driven to the main sites and don't want to deal with taxis. We got the impression the driver knew more about Mumbai than Hasim, but couldn't speak English to convey. That being said, Hasim found a nice Bengali restaurant - Oh Calcutta! - and was always waiting for us. In other words, he did his job as an escort, but we didn't get a proper tour guide service. Also of note, there was no water offered and no ferry ride as part of the tour. For the tour of the slums, our guide Mahesh provided good details on the walking tour. I have visited Soweto in South Africa and favelas in Brazil and I can stay that Mumbai was a lot better than either SA or Brazil. I'm not sure if this is just the general state of the slums or just the portion we visited - the key highlight is one of the alleys you walk through was a filming location for Slumdog Millionaire. To be fair, the slum part of the tour didn't look much different from the rest of Mumbai - it's an urban jungle through and through. The driver did a great job navigating traffic. If you are looking for an all in one experience and just want to get to the major sites, Magic India is a nice choice, but there might be more cost effective options out there and I'm sure it depends on the tour guide you get.
