      The best guide in Hyderabad!
Kumar Vaspari was an excellent and courteous host - we were so warmly greeted when we first met. From there he took us along with our wonderful driver, Rafeeq Younus, to many interesting sites around Hyderabad. His knowledge of history is huge and his ability to impart this vast knowledge was both clear and informative. Kumar’s enthusiasm for his subject is completely infectious…. We thoroughly enjoyed our time with him - we shared many stories and jokes - he also had the best smile in the world!

      Full day tour of Hyderabad
Guide was very knowledgeable and amiable. Saw Golkanda Fort, Tombs and bazaar around iconic multi-story mosque. Given traffic and distances it would have been hard to accomplish this without the assistance of a guide and driver. The guide offered not only a deep commentary on the sights, but also demonstrated the unique acoustic aspects of the architecture — echoes and whispering chambers and more. The only negative aspect was insistence of guide that we should stop for shopping for souvenirs. He had to be talked out of multiple stops. The time would have been better spent wandering in the bazaar.

Feeling at home while sightseeing in Hyderabad
Today, I went on the full-day tour of Hyderabad with Kumar Vaspari as our guide and his capable driver, “Safe” (not spelled that way, but it sounded fitting—and he truly lived up to the name). The trip was exceptionally well-organized, and Kumar demonstrated deep knowledge, expertly guiding us to the best spots, ensuring we captured great photos, and making the day thoroughly enjoyable. It was evident that Kumar is highly regarded within the tour guide community; everywhere we went, we were warmly welcomed with smiles. One highlight of the day was our visit to Nimrah Cafe and Bakery, where we were greeted like old friends of the house. Thank you, Kumar, for an unforgettable, full-day experience in Hyderabad!

Brilliant day touring Hyderabad with Kumar
We were in Hyderabad with work, had a last minute free day, and decided to take a private tour to explore. So glad that we did! Incredible experience with our guide Kumar and driver Saif. They picked us up from the hotel in a luxury SUV, took us around several of the main sights, and Kumar kept us informed and entertained throughout the day. There’s no way we could have seen as much / enjoyed ourselves as much if we’d done it ourselves, and for the price - it’s an absolute no brainer!! We booked about 5pm the night before we went on the tour (very last minute). But it all happened seemlessly. Note email address on this page is incorrect - I’ve added photo of correct details. I found that WhatsApp worked best to contact the company.

Kumar Vaspari - highly recommended guide to Hyderabad and Golconda
We were lucky enough to have Kumar as our guide for three days when we visited Hyderabad and Golconda. Kumar is knowlegeable and flexible with excellent English. His 24 years of experience as a licensed guide shine through. He brought out the history and helped us to see and appreciate amazing places to suit our interests. As well as seeing all the main sites, we also enjoyed chai and biscuits straight from the oven at Nimrah’s with an introduction to its charming owner, an added delight. We visited the Dar al-Shifa Shia mosque meeting Seema Kulsum, a descendant of the eighth caliph who brilliantly explained the shrine. At Golconda, Kumar showed us the newly restored stepwells in the Qutb Shahi tomb complex. Kumar Vaspari can be contacted on +919848515505 or at tourguidekumar@gmail.com

This palace, which was built by the Nizam rulers of British Colonial Hyderabad, is very beautiful. The inside has been authentically renovated to reflect the mixed cultures. There are lovely gardens, and the outside of the building is well worth a visit. It is now a luxurious hotel and period piece.

The first hour was spent on a tour of the original interiors. The guide (Fatima) was very knowledgeable, and the information was interesting. It was a bit overwhelming, as she talked super-fast, poured facts in a torrent, and sort of pushed us from room to room. She kept stressing that we have to keep to a schedule. A more leisurely pace would have suited me better.

The high tea is wonderful. The tearoom is lovely, a pianist plays well-known pieces, and the food was divine and generously served with grace. You can have as many refills as you like.

At $96, this is not a cheap option, but I felt that I got my money's worth.

It's a 2.5-hour experience, not 4 hours, as stated in the description. This is important if your driver has to know when to pick you up....

I had an excellent time at the tour today. The pick up and drop off was such a breeze. The driver, Ravi was so professional. The food was great. It was a short and sweet trip with lots of time to explore the court yard and to relax in the shade of trees after the tour. This was meant for catching up with my old friends and it served the purpose very well. An absolute must-do if you’re in a time crunch but need to spend quality time with loved ones. Does not include much walking, can be done with people of all ages.

We were recommended to try the high tea by tourists we met in Hyderabad. As we had time we opted to book fora nights stay. WOW. It is a beautiful building commanding amazing views. Opulence and an insight into bygone age. Our room was fantastic. Beautiful high ceiling and in keeping decor. The en-suite in a class of its own. We had the high tea in the Celeste dinning room. Grand, but very comfortable. The tea was delicious and very filling. The tour of the palace followed. It was informative and interesting.. breakfast did not disappoint, eggs anyway you wanted, fresh bread and pastries made in the kitchens, fruits and berries galore. The staff were all In obtrusive but incredibly helpful. Nothing here was to much trouble. Your welfare was their aim. Best description I can think of is ‘king for a day’.

Ambience and view was beautiful BUT food was tasteless. Taste is subjective therefore, for us, the high tea was below our expectation. The high tea here was more of QUANTITY than quality and for the price we paid, it was disappointing. Scones were served cold. Sandwiches were so so. Cakes were so so; taste more of sugar than ingredients. I asked for coffee without sugar TWO TIMES and both times, my coffee was served sweet. I finally asked for masala tea without sugar, and they got it right. Maybe our expectation was high for for 11,800 rupees for high tea, I believe we have the right to have some expectations. Nevertheless, I must say, the palace looked amazing at sunset. Service was great as well.
