Our tour kicked off at 10:30 AM, and right from the start, we were seated and served a delicious traditional dish that set the tone for an incredible culinary experience. Pro tip: Do not make the same mistake we did—have a very light breakfast, because you will get FULL by the end of this tour! While every stop featured amazing dishes and a rich variety of flavors, the true star of the experience was Dani, our guide. Her passion and knowledge about Cartagena’s history and cuisine were unmatched. Dani didn’t just guide us through the food but also enriched the tour with fascinating insights about the city’s culture and heritage. If you’re considering this tour, we highly recommend it—and be sure to request Dani as your guide. This tour was great! Over the course of 10 stops and 3 hours we tried a delicious variety of local Cartagena food & drinks. Our tour guide Dani provided insightful details about the items we sampled, making it part history / culture tour as well. Highly recommended!

Robert was our tour guide and was great! We were a group of 10 and he made sure we all stayed together through the streets of Cartagena. We tried foods at 8-9 different stops, all with authentic Colombian food. The stop with the ceviche was amazing! This tour is great for anyone wanting to try authentic Colombian street food.

We did this tour with our two adult children, aged 23 and 19. Alvaro David did a great job on the tour!! His joy, enthusiasm, and knowledge were evident and made the tour even better. We visited 9 different places and had a lot of wonderful food - including ceviche mixto, patacones with local cheese, and pan de bolo - and drink - including local beers and drinks. In addition to the food tour, we got a lot of great information about the history of the city as well. We would highly recommend this tour, especially if you can go with Alvaro David!!

Wonderful experience with Daniella! She was very friendly and knowledgeable about all the food types. She carried visual descriptions, was well spoken in English and provided us with a fun 2 hour tour in the old town of Cartagena. We sampled many types of food and drink in ample portions. Most of the stops were street food types (very good and authentic), but we also had opportunities for bathroom stops. Meet up was easy to find and Daniella even walked us back to the starting point and offered to assist us with getting our Uber back to the ship. Highly recommend this tour!

Alvaro was an amazing tour guide! Everything was delicious and was extremely informational. Highly recommend if you have limited time in Cartagena and want to get a good sense of the local food and learn about the city

We had a great time on this food tour. We didn’t get to stay the whole time due to our cruise cutting our time short, but Daniela worked so hard on our behalf to help us experience as much as possible. She also helped us coordinate our ride back to the port. She was so funny and nice. We wished we could have experienced all the food, but what we had was yummy and fun!

Had a great time! Albero R showed us all the best local street food. Explained preparation, told us about ingredients all while shepherding us safely throughout the cobble-stoned lanes. I highly recommend this experience and if you are lucky Albero will be your gourmet guide!

Robert was our exceptional tour guide and it ended up being a private tour (hopefully the other couple was able to reschedule), which made it all the more intimate. He gave us the history of Cartagena’s rich foods and we learned about the different foods and cuisines of the different regions of Colombia as we tried literally everything on our ten stops. Robert also made sure we were safe during our tour with emphasis on proper food handling and he provided reassurances about our specific dietary restrictions. The seafood ceviche was among my favorite dishes (my wife couldn’t try due to her dietary restriction) but we both loved the patacones (it was a callback to our Haitian roots as well) with cheese, the egg arepa, and my wife’s favorite was the cocada from the “Willy Wonka Chocolate Factory” stand within The Walls. The cheesy bread (and the accompanying beverage) at Pan de Bono was also exactly as advertised! Muy delicioso! This was our second Nexperience of our weeklong trip in Cartagena and it, like our previous walking tour, did not disappoint! 10/10.
