Half-Day Tour to Totumo Mud Volcano from Cartagena
From US$ 35.00
Overview
Totumo Mud Volcano is a one-of-a-kind attraction home to mineral-infused mud that’s reputed to have healing properties. Avoid the hassle of public transport and the expense of taxis on a stress-free trip to the the volcano, which include lunch and convenient hotel pickup and drop-off. You’ll have ample time to soak in the mud bath and, unlike conventional tours from Cartagena, this excursion includes a stop at Manzanillo Beach.
What to Expect
Following pickup at your hotel in Cartagena, travel with a bilingual guide in a private mini-van for roughly one hour to reach the Totumo mud volcano. Once inside the volcano you can get a massage (additional cost) while floating in the mud. After leaving the volcano, rinse clean in the nearby lagoon then depart to nearby Manzanillo Beach for swimming and lunch before returning by van to your hotel in Cartagena.

Well worth the day trip - exceeded expectations!

The crew was great and the English-speaking host (Felix?? can't remember) was very kind and helpful. The journey to and from is enjoyable, as there's plenty of beautiful scenery to catch your eye along the way. Once at the volcano, definitely opt to have the...More

Too Much Fun

This is an adventure. Pay an extra 10,000 Pesos to jump in the mud. It was so much fun. The showers use the water from the lagoon so just go out and take a swim to clean off. Return to swim out a little further...More

I don't think it is, which I believe is how they're able to offer an afternoon excursion that has you back before it gets too dark.

I remember that they picked up from all over area. I am sure they would find a way to get you picked up. We stopped at at least 8 areas to pick up mud and Volcano tourists.
