Go through the tree-lined streets, have a small walk and we will see Dinghui Temple whose wall has faded away from the original glamour after a long time, but it can not hide its solemn temperament.
The Dinghui Temple in Suzhou has a quiet environment. Since ancient time, celebrities have gathered together and had a profound cultural heritage. The two ancient ginkgo trees in front of main hall are silently remembering the ups and downs of Dinghui Temple.
Then you will also see the Twin Towers, which were built during the reign of the Taiping Xingguo in the Northern Song Dynasty. The twin towers are so close to each other (20m apart)that it’s so difficult to lay the foundation ,which shows very advanced technology and superb wisdom. They look exactly the same in appearance but different on height, the east tower is 33.3 meters high, the west one 33.7 meters.
Keep going forward... Walk through Wuwang Bridge and lots of traditional residences will be in view. You will know the origin of Wu Wang Bridge and some anecdotes about a famous writer-Chen Xiaoqing and other celebrities.
Ahead of us lies the famous St. John's Christian Church which was built under the reign of Guangxu in Qing Dynasty (1881),St. It was the first church built by the South American Supervisory Council in Suzhou.
