- K7914CHjennyy0 contributions5 day tour all around Siem Reap and the Ankgor Wat area.We had an amazing time in Cambodia with Vannak who was a fantastic tour guide. He showed us amazing places and had great knowledge of everywhere we visited. Our trip included seeing Angkor Wat, loads of different temples including where Tomb Raider was filmed. Vannak shared his experience of growing up in Cambodia and his family now and how they live a beautiful life. We got to see an amazing floating community and saw a traditional morning market, even meeting his mother while working on her stall. This will be a trip we will never forget and will share our tales with our family and friends for years to come. I can not thank Vannok enough for making our trip so memorable. We wish you well in your future as a tour guide and would highly recommend him to others.Written 9 April 2024
- Happytravelllers0 contributionsInterestingAfter speaking someone at our hotel they said it was interesting and worth a visit if we had time. We took at Tuk Tuk and turned up, cost was $10 and lasted about 45 mins. Lots of boards displaying the work they undertake, a session of information then a demonstration with one of the rats. After you can hold them. The tour ends with a short film, we enjoyed our visit and learnt that is bits just Cambodia that use them.Written 3 March 2024
- DotsGirl20 contributions500 steps in heat to a beautiful pagodaThis was a hard climb for us fit plus 60 year olds. There are 500 steps and it was 36 Celsius out. But once you get to the top the Pagoda is beautiful and the views are nice. Like all pagodas be prepared to take off your shoes and hats. Coming down was sure a lot easier then going up. Don’t forget to bring your waterWritten 7 February 2024
- davidthepiratechef0 contributionsAmazing rats and ancient artifactsThe hero rats are amazing. I really enjoyed learning about their activities to save lives. Our guide to the Angkor museum was extremely friendly, knowledgeable and was willing to adapt to what we wanted to see.Written 20 January 2024

- jasperd5270 contributionsGreat way to learn about the Angkor wat ruins.First of all, the ticket price is at a very normal level, not the 132 USD showing on TripAdvisor for some reason (don't remember the exact price). This is a large museum with tons of information, a good cafe, and I would highly recommend to go before visiting the Angkor wat ruins so you get a better appreciation of their significance. I really liked how so much detail was presented in bite-size pieces that you can either delve into or pass on depending on your interest.Written 29 October 2023
- shane44ON0 contributionsNice half day trip outside PhnomWent there with local friends. Great option for half day tour. Can do it on your own no need to have a formal tour. Can climb 509 steps to top of pagoda and get amazing views. Very popular with local tourists. Lots of street food stalls with a multitude of food and fruit options.Written 5 August 2023
- 609RogerH0 contributionsAmazingThere are locals that live nearby that don’t know about the work that the rats do. They find land mines by sniffing them out. There are many land mines left and they hope to have them cleared by 2025 so go and see them now before it’s too late.Written 16 May 2023
- O5379OTjuliew0 contributionsHero rats tourFor the price we paid for the tour was very expensive nearly $500 aud 1 adult and 1 child. Didn't get lunch but plenty of water. Our tour guide was good and the driver always had a smile on his face and always ready with water and opening car door. The tour was very short and wasn't far from our hotel. We could have just got a tuk tuk and would have been less than half the price. My advice would be organise the tour yourself as all 3 attractions are within 5 min of each other. The hero rats were the highlight of the tour.Written 18 April 2023

- Jane A0 contributionsPhnom Penh Silk IslandWe were picked up from our hotel by our lovely guide Sok Channak. We met our driver and were taken to Silk Island in the Mekong River. We stopped many times on the island to see farms and talk to villagers. We saw so much that day, temples, a school, a wedding, farms, weavers. We finished the day at the Silk Farm and saw the process of making silk from start to finish. We were fortunate to have Wang, a local guide to take us around and tell us the story. We finished up having a delicious lunch back in the city. A big thank you to Tour East and especially Channak, who tailored our day to suit our interests. Jane and HassWritten 25 January 2020
