About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- tasheeld20240 contributionsExciting and InformativeI had the pleasure of having James as my guide during my time in Siem Reap. James provided a fun and very informative experience for the various temples and sites that I wanted to view. He provided deep detail on the history of the locations and the countries. I had a great time hiking around the cities walls with James proving a historical narrative along the way.Written 6 January 2025
- Gwyneth B0 contributionsMemorable Jeep Trip to Khulen MountainA great day out from Siem Reap to Khulen Mountain with guide Mr Khann and an excellent driver. As warned we ended up covered in red dust from the roads - don’t wear white we were told and it was good advice! We visited the reclining Buddha, the 1000 lingas and swam briefly in the waterfall, all of which were very busy with locals because it was the Bon om Touk festival. Lunch was by a riverbank and was delicious. We are both quite fit and would have been willing to walk more during the day, the day was mainly spent in the jeep. It’s quite a bumpy ride on most of the roads but the jeep was surprisingly comfortable. You get to see the countryside and rice fields etc. along the way. We asked to stop at Banteay Srei and the Landmine Museum on the way back - entrance to these wasn’t included but we already had Angkor Wat passes and wanted to see the Landmine Museum. It was a long day but very memorable and the jeep was great fun.Written 8 December 2024

- Eric C0 contributionsAngkor Wat DiferentlyIf you are looking to visit Angkor Site temples in a different way and away from the crowd then book this tour. Very well maintained Jeep with professional driver and English knowledgeable local guide. A very interesting tour which brings you to see under different angle. They can do your Angkor pass in advance for you. Fun, entertaining tour strongly recommended and very appreciated by guests we have sent there already.Written 17 August 2024
- 618achilleask0 contributionsGreat experience in a beautiful countryVia a colleague we got the information of CambodiaJeep. Via WhatsApp we arrange the trip. Prompt replies to our questions. CJ also arranged the Ankor Wat tickets and pickup from the airport. Our tourguide Mr. Phun Khan and driver took us to all corners of the immense temple complex. We had lunch at a local house. All we can say is that we had a wonderful day. CJ has made up the already set expectations we had. Beside we were struck by the friendliness of the Cambodian people. We will visit Cambodia in the future and CJ is a group we as a family can recommend for your tours in Cambodia!Written 13 June 2024

- 127paule0 contributionsLOTOS RALLY 2024We had been dreaming of taking this trip for quite some time, and the 2024 edition finally gave us the chance to go on the rally in Cambodia. During the tour, we had the opportunity to visit many family-owned restaurants for lunch and dinner, which was an excellent way to interact with and support the locals. The route we took offered many hidden treasures, including villages, archeological sites, rivers, and comfortable lodgings. Driving the Jeep was an absolute pleasure. It was a restomod with a Toyota Camry engine and, in our case, an automatic gearbox. We had a blast with this vehicle, and we believe it's an experience that everyone should have at least once in their lifetime. The support team was composed of three professional, friendly, and knowledgeable men who were always available to assist us. For instance, when we got stuck on a mountainous slope while driving our Jeep, they were there to help. They also helped us create an alternative route using nearby natural materials when a bridge was no longer in place. Last but not least, the hosts of this yearly event, Lily and Andre, joined us during the rally and proved to be the best hosts we could have hoped for. We'd like to give them a big shout-out. All in all, it was one of the best travel experiences we've ever had.Written 24 February 2024
- UeliJ_110 contributionsLOTOS RALLYE 2024: Wed did it again!!!!Unforgettable Cambodia: A self-drive jeep adventure through temples, waterfalls and off-the-map roads….. For the second time we took part in this special adventure. In this edition we had a special highlight each day. We visited the World Heritage Site of Angkor, Preath Vihear and Koh Ker. Seeing dolphins and taking a bath in a river with Princess the Elephant. We navigated dusty tracks that wouldn’t appear on a map, made a boat trip in the village on stilts, learning all about gem mining, getting blessed by a monk, swimming in a volcano crater. Additionally, the visits to various plantations such as rubber, cashew, pepper, bananas and casava were also an absolute highlight. The choice of accommodation was again excellent and, like last time, the shared dinners were perfect, well organized and very entertaining. We would like to thank the organizers Lily and André for the extraordinary 14-days-adventure; we enjoyed every minute of it.Written 9 February 2024

We traveled by private jeep from Siem Reap to Phnom Penh, my husband was driving and the experience was amazing. - 698shaneb0 contributionsLife experience worth havingThis experience was phenomenal. From the booking process to arrival a few days prior communication was phenomenal. The private tour guide (Ten Lyping) was willing to listen to our concerns ants and tailor the trip accordingly. Ask for Ten Lyping(an amazing, personable and extremely knowledgeable guide through the sacred temples and countryside) and our driver Mr. Saroun(a war vet who knows how to work the Jeep with ease and will ensure your comfort) I highly reccomend this experience.Written 15 November 2023
- bw_butterfly0 contributionsA fantastic day on tour with Vong Rat!We were very happy to see Vong in our hotel lobby when we started the day, since we’d already enjoyed a tour with him through Ankor Park a few days prior and had had a great day. So it came to no surprise to us that the tour to Phnom Kulen with him was just as great, if not even better. We thought we were a bit unlucky with the weather, since it had been raining, but far from it - it spared us the dust that normally goes along with riding on red dirt roads. And for every other downside to the rain that had come down in prior days Vong had a perfect solution - for example he took us to a serene lokal lunch spot where we could swim in the river, instead of swimming at the waterfall that was to muddy due to the rainfall the prior night. So to summ it up, our adventure with Cambodia Jeep, guided by the wonderful Vong Rat, was an amazing experience. It's with great pleasure that I give this full-day tour a perfect five-star rating. We would do it again in a heartbeat.Written 29 October 2023
- Passenger439943101230 contributionsHighly recommended jeepney tourThis is probably one of the best tours ive ever had in Siem Reap. Our guide Vong Rat was very knowledgeable and passionate in sharing about the history of the places we visited. We explored places slightly off the beaten track which was a really great experience! I highly recommend taking the jeepney tour as there were a lot of places not accessible with tuktuk/car.Written 16 October 2023
- AprilNFlorida0 contributionsFun Day!Overall we loved the experience, the jeeps were fun, our guide was excellent and very knowledgeable, but I wasn’t blown away by the stops at 1000 lingas and the waterfall, just kind of meh for me. However, we all had a great day, made some great memories and I would recommend the tour.Written 18 September 2023
- Debsen10 contributionsTemples and Countryside by Jeep and Outstanding Service from GuidesWe did the private tour of the temples - Angkor Wat, Bayon and Ta Promh with Sun and her driver. We were picked up promptly at our hotel and taken to Angkor Wat. We were guided through Angkor Wat, given history, and also snacks for the morning and lunch. We then had a few options for how to see Byron and Ta Prohm. We enjoyed the history and also great spots for pictures and off roading. Lastly, we were taken to a government endorsed shopping center where I bought some beautiful scarves. We also did the sunset tour and enjoyed a bottle of wine while enjoying the Cambodian country side.Written 19 June 2023

We were picked up by our guide Lyping and the drivers at our hotel in Siem Reap. After a great drive through the countryside we arrived in a tiny village for a fresh coconut and a small bike ride (20mins) around town.
After this, we continued our drive towards the floating village. Be prepared for dust along the way, your clothes (and yourself) will turn orange 😉.
In the floating village we had some great lunch at someone’s home, delicious!
After this, we did a boat tour on the Tonle Sap lake, which was a great addition.
Over all, a very good experience made even better by great drivers and the best guide (Lyping).

Our Driver Sun was a very nice and helpful person. He has a great humor and knows a lot of persons on the trip, he is friendly to everybody and knows many details. We had a great day together and enjoyed it very much. The spots we went to were impressive. The Bicycle tour was great fun and the market was spectacular. The floating houses is a must to see.

Amazing Cambdia ! We started our 14-day trip in Seam Reap, with lots of sights, like Angkor Wat ...but what stuck with us the most is the contact with the locals. Those perks James could get us. Tasting local brew, fishing, visiting a school... These things are etched in our memories. Thanks James, Lu

We had a remarkable day with our wonderful guide Vong and our excellent driver Mum. They were super kind, courteous and friendly explaining the many and various aspects of Cambodian life throughout the day. We enjoyed the market, the bike ride, lunch and the boat tour immensely! I wouldn’t change a thing and would strongly encourage anyone considering this tour to go ahead! It’s truly a special day!

I was on the tour wirh my family.
The tour was incredible. We asked so many questions and learn many things. Everyone is very kind, the driver and tour guide was very kind and pationate about thei worl. You could see it. I did a lot of picture which reminds me all the stories/history that the guide inform us. It was a bit rainy but they were all prepaired. It was pretty fun to be on the jeep as we could me more in contact with the people outside. They would say "hello"! When we pass by, it reminds me my country. So welcoming. I had really an amazing trip and can only suggest people to go there if they want to have a closer view on how it is to live in this incredible float village.
Ps: we also did a bycyle tour where we could see the market and have closer contacts with the people in the side country. Loves it.

Great excursion to the stilt villages. Our tour guide did a good job explaining things to us. Seeing daily life from a jeep is an experience well worth it. It is dusty (but they provide masks) and bumpy but that's all part of the experience. Our guide was patient, never rushed and always patient to explain everything. These guides do not make much and it always surprises me how the majority of guests do not tip.. even $5.00 is a lot to them. The area around the stilt houses is amazing. The people of Cambodia are very resourceful and such hard workers.

Hello!
Can the small boats that go through the floating village accomodate someone that is 191 cm tall and 147 kg weight?
Thank you!
