An early morning, but totally worth it, the clean comfortable bus picked us up nice and early at 4am with the most wonderful tour guide (Mr Bun, one of the nicest people and extremely informative, friendly and funny with perfect English), we arrived to watch sunrise over Angkor Wat and as we were there earlier than the other groups we got the best views, once the we then toured the grounds and the temple, we climbed to the top to take in the views across the grounds. Lots of opportunities for photos and then off to get breakfast in a nice little local restaurant. After breakfast we went to a further 2 temples (the famous tomb raider temple and a temple in the old city) Mr Bun was informative throughout, answered all my questions about both where we were and Cambodia in general, water was provided throughout and the occasional cooling flannel after a couple of the temples which was very much appreciated. There is also a two day tour which if I had another day I would definitely have booked that additional day too. Communication was great throughout with a link being sent by email to buy your 2 day temple ticket online (same price as the gate) which is really quick to buy online and then you can have it on your phone to show throughout the day when asked. The company hosted one of the best tours on my travels and I fully recommend you book with this tour group as it is very small and Bun remembered everybody by name. (Also thank you to Mr Mong the driver for being a very good driver)

We booked the sunrise tour at Angkor wat. We had Mr Chhay as our guide and Mr Sal as our driver. Both were very friendly and welcoming and Mr Chhay’s knowledge of the area was clear to see and welcomed questions from everyone with a few humorous anecdotes up his sleeve.

The tour was good visiting 4 stopping points with a breakfast stop in the middle which was served in a local restaurant, food was decent quality at a reasonable price.

The only minor downfall was due to some of the people at the sunrise (nothing to do with the tour operator). Some people got a little pushy and didn’t appreciate personal space.

Note: Ensure you comply with temple etiquette e.g. no shoulders exposed etc. you will need a t-shirt / shirt (even for women). It states that shorts are not allowed but wasn’t strictly enforced however could change as tourism increases again. There is also a fair amount of walking over uneven ground at times and a climb up to Angkor wat top level so I would advise shoes fit for purpose.

The amazing Mr Bun was our tour guide. Really knowledgable and attentive, his English is excellent and he’s an awesome photographer. You get a lot for your money with this tour including some surprises! Visited Angkor Wat at sunrise which was beautiful, followed by the jungle temple (tomb raider filmed here) and then Bayon temple (temple of smiling faces). Mr Bun kept us informed along the way and told us lots of extra facts about Cambodian culture/ the history/ Angelina Jolie.

Communication before the tour was perfect - water & cold towels provided throughout.

Quick tip - you stop for breakfast about 08:00/08:30. We had a breakfast pack from the hotel with us which came recommended by the tour itinerary however you eat in a restaurant so I’d recommend ordering from the restaurant. Super reasonable prices.

Bring a hat! It’s hot and bring some snacks! (I had a hungry partner and he needed feeding throughout 😂). Great tour - book it!

We had a great experience visiting Angkor with this your. We didn’t have much time and found that the sunrise tour was the perfect formula for us to get a great idea of what the site has to offer. We visited 9 monuments and temples among the most popular and managed to avoid the crowds. The sunrise was a but underwhelming due to the weather but booking this tour is definitely worth it as you’ll avoid the crowds and most of all the heat that comes in early afternoon. The guides and driver were really great. Pal knew a lot and passed down his knowledge in a very interactive way. We would 100% recommend this tour !

Normally we are people who try do things without a tour, but when it comes to Angkor Wat we knew we wanted to book a sunrise tour with a knowledgeable guide to get as much information as possible about this incredible place. Doing a tour with this organisation has changed our minds towards not getting guides from now on!
Our guide Yuth really was amazing!! Not only is he super kind and friendly, he had more facts than we’d even thought of - about Angkor and Cambodia as well as the surrounding countries. His knowledge is seriously extensive and so interesting, i think it takes a lot of skill to keep a group of 12 people interested and excited after waking up at 3.45am, and he really kept us laughing all day and his smile was infectious! (Also an amazing photographer and he will make sure you get all the photos you want on the day!)
Paired with the lovely driver ‘Mouse’ who kept us stocked on water and even cold towels when the heat of the day kicked in, they were a great pair to do this tour with.
They also offered us a free pick up&drop off for the Circus that evening since we’d booked the sunrise with them that day, since we were wanting to head there anyway this made it super easy for us. We’ll only consider Journey Cambodia now in future tours of this country! Thanks so much guys 😊

This was an amazing experience. Our tour guide and driver, Sauron Pal (Paul) and Mr Mong, picked us up by coach in the morning. There were around 15 of us so a good number to get a great tour from Paul and chat with others. We watched the sunrise over Angkor Wat followed by a tour; after this we went for breakfast at a local restaurant for around 1 hour.

We then had a full tour of 8 other nearby temples which were fascinating, made even better by our excellent and knowledgeable tour guide.

I would really recommend this activity to anyone staying in Siem Reap.

Mr. Pal (our guide) and Mr Sal (our driver) were great as they guided our tour from sunrise at Angkor Wat through 7 other temples to end at Bayon.
A small group tour with great personal touches including great group and couples photos and really interesting insight and history of the temples and the area.
Breakfast stop was included where you can either eat your own or purchase from a Khmer or western menu, not expensive but slow.
Mr Pal was very funny and whenever we returned to the coach there were cold bottles of water and flannels provided by Mr Sal.
I would highly recommend this small group tour. Thank you Mr Pal and Mr Sal... You're brilliant!

Our sunrise tour started with a punctual 4:20 am pick up and we were greeted by our welcoming and friendly tour guide Mr. Chea Sok. We learned a lot about the historical and cultural significance of Angkor Wat, Ta Prohm and Bayon temples. Mr. Sok is very knowledgeable and he shared insightful information about the Khmer people’s current way of life. Our driver Mr. Mao was always ready with his offer of cold water and cold wet towels to keep us all comfortable throughout the tour. Mr. Sok was also reassuring and accommodating about timeline concerns as we needed to get to the airport for an afternoon flight. We were able to see all the temples listed on this tour and still had plenty of time to get to the airport. We had such a great time and would highly recommend the tour especially Mr. Sok as the tour guide to anyone who wants to see the sights and learn about history.

We went on a private bike tour of the Angkor Way area. It was fantastic. We started predawn at the viewing area for the main temple complex (a mainstay of most tours). After, we we taken to a small restaurant to buy our own breakfast. We kept it light as afterwards we mounted our bikes and were off. The day included rides along the bike path around the edge of the Angkor Wat area, as well as detours on smaller paths through the jungle to see some less accessible features. There were also jaunts in a Tuk Tuk to fit in some of the other wats. Our guide was very knowledgeable and no doubt fit the amount of biking to his judgment of our speed and abilities. This is a great way to see the sights here and was much more fun IMHO than a typical bus/van tour of this extensive site. Highly recommended.

The tour was well organized, the transport was done first in tuc tuc to join the group and then in a clean van with air conditioning.
The best value of the tour was the guide, Mr Sokpee that have a lot of knowledge about history and religion which are the most important aspects to understand Ankor. His english level is very good do you could understand even if you are not a native english speaker. He was open to respond questions.
The sunrise time is highly recommeded, it is not so crowded and the temperature is not hot.
Be careful with the monkeys, a turist was bitten.
