Sunrise Small-Group Tour of Angkor Wat from Siem Reap
From US$ 19.00
Watching the sunrise over Angkor Wat is a truly unforgettable experience that makes for spectacular photos. On this tour, arrive early to beat the crowds and midday heat, enjoy a guided tour of the ancient ruins, and visit the temples of Ta Prohm, Angkor Thom, and Bayon Temple. A small group means plenty of time for questions, and convenient hotel pickup and drop-off make for a seamless experience.
What to Expect
Start your tour with an early morning pickup from your Siem Reap hotel and travel to the Angkor Archaeological Park in the comfort of an air-conditioned minivan. Once you’ve purchased your entrance tickets (own expense), head through the little-visited western entrance to experience Angkor Wat at sunrise.

After watching the magnificent sunrise, set out to explore Angkor Wat on a guided walking tour and listen as your guide points out notable architectural features and details the fascinating history of the Khmer Empire. Stop to enjoy breakfast (most hotels will provide a packed breakfast for guests on early tours) outside the temple, before continuing to visit Angkor Thom and the Bayon Temple.

As the sun begins to heat up, make one last stop to see the ‘jungle temple’ of Ta Prohm, before being dropped back at your hotel in the early afternoon.

We did the sunrise small tour of Angkor Wat with Sin Peng Eang. It’s seriously beautiful. We had a little cloud but it made the sky light up more. If you got a lot of cloud, it might not be as great. Temples were amazing...More
