Sunset Dinner on Tonle Sap Lake with a Floating Village Tour
From US$ 39.00
Just a short drive south of Siem Reap, Tonle Sap Lake is Cambodia’s largest lake. On this tour, experience the lake at its most atmospheric on a sunset cruise. Explore the floating villages, stilted houses, and lotus fields; visit a crocodile and fish farm; and enjoy a delicious dinner at the Queen Tara floating restaurant. Hotel pickup and drop-off make for a seamless evening.
What to Expect
Begin your evening with pickup from your Siem Reap hotel for the roughy 20-minute journey to the port at Phnom Krom. After boarding a small boat, admire the scenery as you pass by lotus fields and lush rice paddies. You’ll also visit a fish and crocodile farm to learn about traditional fishing practices.
Continue to Chong Khneas and learn about local life on the lake as you sail around the homes, markets, schools, and spirit houses of the floating village. Finally, arrive at the Queen Tara, a floating restaurant, where dinner and cocktails will be served as you watch the sun set over the lake.
After dinner, transfer back to the port by small boat, where a driver will be waiting to take you back to your Siem Reap hotel.

If you are looking for the great sunset view, this is for you. I was not so impressed when we arrived at the port. It was too crowd, not clean. Floating village was just poor boat village. But as soon as tour boat reached the...More

Great fun

We weren’t quite sure what to expect on this trip, and it turned out to be excellent. Our guide was great (although repeatedly calling the one solo traveller “Mr Lonely” made everyone awkward. Especially Mr Lonely). You catch a small boat and visit the crocodile...More

Relaxing and Informative

We were a small group of 4 having joined up with two delightful ladies from the US. Sam our tour guide was excellent and had a wealth of knowledge about Cambodian history which I found fascinating. We visited a Lotus silk farm which was certainly...More

Avoid this tour. Read the negative reviews. Poor value for money.
