Mingun, located about 8 miles (11km) upriver from Mandalay, is on the opposite bank of the Ayeyarwady River, or called Irrawaddy River. It is also where the largest ringing bell in the world, Mingun Bell, is located. Mingun Bell weighs 90 tons and is claimed to be the largest well-maintained bell in the world. Then visit the Mya Thein Dan Pagoda and the Mingun Pahtotawgyi, an unfinished structure of its famous world largest brick base pagoda. Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant while experiencing the beautiful river and a glimpse of river life.
Afterwards, head back to Mandalay and visit Mahamuni Pagoda and the nearby area. Once the sightseeing tour ends, you will be taken to your hotel in Mandalay.
