About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- anthonydP4180DF0 contributionsGreat private tour by a true localJosip was a great guide for me and my wife. He is someone who actually lives within old Dubrovnik so he knows as much as anyone you can find about the history of the city and the current life there as a resident . He was flexible with the meeting time also, and would mention locations of Game of Thrones scenes to my wife who was a fan.Written 13 September 2024
- d007mog0 contributionsDo this first in DubrovnikWe took the tour with Josip today. He was excellent. Great review of Dubrovnik history. He made the complicated history very understandable. This is a great way to see the walls and major attractions in the city to set oneself up to explore further. He also gave us some restaurant recommendations and other sites to see outside the old cityWritten 28 August 2024
- Roam8279840 contributionsEngaging and informative tour of DubrovnikThe tour with Josip was excellent! He was very friendly and catered the tour to our interests. He provided a lot of interesting historical information as well as an understanding about Dubrovnik in modern times. Josip was willing to answer all of our questions and gave us some good recommendations for other activities and food to enjoy during our stay in Dubrovnik!Written 26 June 2024

- 463phillipw0 contributionsA wonderful experience with Josip this morning! So much knowledge and excellent English. Thank you.We were a group of four experienced travelers from Australia and had a wonderful walking tour of the walls of the Old Town in Dubrovnik this morning. Josip took the time to personalize our experience and showed his incredible in-depth and broad knowledge in his ability to answer all of our weird and wonderful questions. We learnt so much about the history of this part of the world over the past two centuries. Josip has perfect English and artfully navigated the nuances of our jokes and questions. We had such a good experience and highly recommend Josip for your group.Written 12 May 2024

- I8022KNbrianm0 contributionsGreat day out , fabulous Guide “Duro”, 5⭐️Absolutely fabulous day out ! , so worth while to see another country (Montenegro) and learn about the history of the region, We were picked up from our apartment by the must wonderful Guide “Douro”(George), he was so knowledgeable about the areas we passed through and allowed us to stop for coffee or pictures upon request, no problem for him to help out with the souvenir photos either 😊📸, we stopped a number of times around the Boka Bay Area in the picturesque costal villages and took a Small cruise to see the “Lady of the lake rock” island, this lady and villagers were famous for building this church to keep sailors of the region safe on their voyages , we had an opportunity to stop in the Town of Kotor do some sightseeing of the old church and Monasteries as well as the town fortress high above the walled old town, after some lunch we set off for the route home taking in some breathtaking views above of the bay of Boka, all in all a great day enriched by a great guide and driver Duro, in our Air conditioned Mercedes. Thanks to Josip for arranging the day for us , Brian Caroline & Ellie (Ireland) April 2024.Written 8 April 2024
- jandaknox0 contributionsDubrovnik. Not just for Game of Thrones enthusiasts. Our tour guide Anja was fantastic! She was knowledgeable, funny, personable and shared many local insights. She shared historical tidbits, family stories and even some personal details of what life is like living in Dubrovnik and Croatia. We fully enjoyed our tour and thought Anja did a great job. In general, we found the old city of Dubrovnik to be amazing, charming, quaint and one of our favorite places we’ve been. The history is rich and fascinating and it truly felt like we had gone back to medieval times. I would recommend visiting Dubrovnik and if you like history and stories, take a tour. If you can book with Anja absolutely do it! You won’t be disappointed. PS: None of our group of 4 are Game of Thrones fans and we absolutely loved Dubrovnik. You will too!!Written 16 September 2023
- LaurenDMcGhee0 contributionsFantastic day trip to MostarI would highly recommend this private tour to Mostar. Our driver Mladen was courteous, friendly and informative, explaining about the history of the different places that we visited. Pick-up and drop-off was so easy and convenient and the whole experience was fantastic, thank you!Written 15 September 2023
- feineblume900 contributionsBeautiful Boka Bay - Dubrovnik Day trip to Montenegro and BosniaWe were more than happy. It was a great day because our english speaking driver Baldo did all he could to tailor the tour to our wishes. Also he was very friendly, chatty and gave us background Information. Most important: we got the impression that he is a very professionell driver, always carefully and secure driving and he managed to pass the borders at the best points so we did not have to wait to long. Very professionell! We skipped Kotor completely and spent more time in quiter towns which was just perfect: Herceg Novi, Perast, Trebinje. Even the drive through the mountains between Perast and Trebinje was amazing!Written 3 September 2023
- markrW4360NY0 contributionsExcellent... thanks from us!We have a great time on this tour. The view from Dubrovnik into Bosnia were simply stunning. It was a fairly long first part of the journey - but Mladen, our driver, was full of interesting stories and experiences from his childhood in Croatia right through the present day. He gave us real insight into the changes that he had seen, the issues that caused conflict, the move from Communism to where the nation is today. He was really fascinating. The three stops were fabulous, a small village, then on to Tekija Blagaj (both were really interesting) and then on to Mostar. We could really have done with longer in Mostar and may make a trip at a future date. But it was great Our children enjoyed it and it was not too much driving for them. So big thanks from us for a really interesting day and an intro into Bosnian culture and life.Written 1 September 2023
- Katie P0 contributionsAwesome tour with the best guide! We had a great time walking the walls and learning the history of Dubrovnik with our guide Ivana! She went above and beyond to provide recommendations around the city. I’m so glad we did this tour our first day in the city, so we could have some background while enjoying the rest of our stay. Definitely recommend!!Written 28 July 2023
- samuelsI8594DE0 contributionsGreat time with a great hostWe had a great time. Our tour guide Ivana was very pleasant and knowledgeable. She was also more than willing to give recommendations about the town. Would recommend this tour for your first day in the city to get a good sense of the history.Written 19 July 2023
- E1467VMchristineb0 contributionsKnowledgable guideOur guide Ivana was very knowledgable and good fun. She was adapting her walking speed and explanations very sensitively to our needs. It’s a long walk and can get hot and full. I would not want to walk it in summer temperatures.Written 1 June 2023
