We had originally booked this tour for the fall of 2020. When the pandemic hit we were given a refund of our deposit. It was only natural to book again when we planned a cruise on the Regal Princess to Dubrovnik.
We can't say enough about our guide Ivo. He met us on the dock and then had us wait while he left to bring the van around. As requested, he had a portable step to help my wife enter the van.
In Cavtat Ivo pointed us to the only restaurant that accepted euros (this won't be a problem come January when Croatia accepts the euro). He then waited while a couple did a bit of shopping.
When he couldn't find parking near the Old Town of Dubrovnik he dropped us near the entrance to the old town while he found parking. Parking was 160 steps up the mountainside. At the end of the tour he climbed those steps again to retrieve the van and then pick us up.
The tour starts with a drive from the port up the mountain to a panoramic lookout that the larger tour buses cannot drive. Along the way Ivo shares his expert knowledge of Croatia and its history. The lookout is a rocky area with a magnificent view of the old town. There is no prepared ground or guardrails.
We then drove through the mountains back to the coast. Before arriving in Cavtat Ivo took us to an abandoned area to show the damage left behind after the fighting in the 1990s. A leisurely walking tour of Cavtat to the Church of Our Lady of the Snows. It was mid November and many of the tourist based shops and restaurants were closed for the season. A quiet break for coffee and pastry at the cafe was preferred over time in Dubrovnik.
Our tour ended with a walk through Old Town Dubrovnik. Ivo took us down a side street to explain medieval life in the town and a fascinating story about children left at the orphanage.
Ivo is truly a professional guide who loves to share his knowledge of the area. He
answered all our questions and even talked about the upcoming World Cup where Canada was in the same group as Croatia. This tour certainly exceeded our expectations and was better than any cruise line shore excursion.

When we say the best, we mean the best. The best tour, the best tour guides and drivers. My sister and I were lucky enough to have Ivo and Stephan as ours. They are two young men serious, passionate, very knowledgeable and yet humorous about their country and making sure that they accommodate those who visit. You will not be disappointed!

We arrived in Dubrovnik as part of our cruise and were met from the ship without any issues.
We visited the old town first before the majority of cruise passengers arrived. This gave us the opportunity to enjoy our free time walking through the side streets of the old town and relaxing with a coffee. By the time we left it was bustling.
Next was the coastal town of Cavat where we had free time to enjoy walking around and exploring.
Our final stop was the gorgeous panoramic lookout.
Our guide spoke excellent English, was knowledgeable and very friendly.
What a great way to experience a beautiful city in a limited time. Highly recommended.

Dear AJ, Thanks for the review. We are glad that you enjoyed your tour. Guests coming on cruise ship often have time constraints so we do our best to maximize their trip experience so they can see as much as possible and still be safely back on time to the ship!
Hope this trip gave you a little glimpse into all what Croatia has to offer and that you will visit us again, this time for some longer time :)

This was the most wonderful tour. Stjepan provided me with a very professional experience, he has a wealth of information and is a wonderful driver. He was very considerate, allowed time for many questions and has a delightful personality. He showed me all that Dubrovnik Old Town has to offer, beautiful Cavtat and panoramic coastal countryside and views. Doria was easy to book on line from Australia. Stjepan collected me from the gangway of the ship and I was returned after an enjoyable day in plenty of time. Thank you Stjepan

Stefan was a wonderful guide. So knowledgeable. We thoroughly enjoyed our tour. We had walked the walls in Dubrovnik on a prior trip. Our guide had no problem showing us other things in the city. Cavtat is a very pleasant place to visit. I especially liked the way Stefan talked us through various time periods to the present. I would recommend this tour.

Ivo was our driving guide for the first part of the tour. Pleasant, knowledgeable, answered any/all questions He did not rush us and showed us the best panoramic views for pictures. Very versed in the country’s history. Fun time and would highly recommend. Did not disappoint!

My husband and I took this tour one-day last week. We had limited time in Dubrovnik and this tour with Goran was perfect! He was there holding a sign with our name outside the gangway of our cruise ship. He told us he was waiting for 5 more people while we waited in his van. The people were late and even had more people than was legal for Goran to drive around. Because Goran had to explain over and over to them that they were over by one person, it took more of our precious time. This was not Goran's fault. One person took a cab to meet our group so Goran would not be ticketed. We toured the castle, then the other group decided they wanted to spend more time in that area so my husband and I continued the planned tour with Goran. Boy, did they miss breathtaking views! Just when you thought it couldn't get any better, it did. He was so knowledgeable and answered every question. We would highly recommend this tour. Thank you, Goran! We will be back for sure.

In September we took the Dubrovnik, Panorama & Cavtat Tour. We were picked up near our cruise ship. The group was small which we like. Our tour guide was very informative. We were taken above Dubrovnik and had great views of the city. We also liked our time along the water in Cavtat as well as the walking tour thru Dubrovnik Old Town. We would definitely recommend them.

We took a private shore excursion of Dubrovnik and Cavtat, which included a panoramic stop at Mt Srd. The trip was very well coordinated, with a great walking tour with Nina, who was able to point out some Game of Thrones spots, even though this was not a GoT tour. Ivo drove us to Cavtat and Mrd Srd, which provided a lovely panoramic view of Dubrovnik. The coordination between the 2 parts of the tour was excellent and we highly recommend this tour.

Our guide was waiting for us as we got off the ship, we quickly headed out of the Port in a new 4 wheel drive (and thankfully air-conditioned). The trip was very informative, as our knowledgeable guide explained the history of this lovely city, we went to old Dubrovnik and roamed around with our guide after taking in spectacular views from a lookout only cars can reach, the tour was great, we managed to see quite a lot on our shore excursion and would highly recommend it.

Hi, does this tour include a ride on the cable car on Mt Srd please? We will be a group of 4 adults and 2 children. Thanks

No it did not include a cable car ride. We rode in a car to a nice panoramic spot high above Dubrovnik.

We like the sound of this tour, but we would really like a game of Thrones Tour. Do you offer one, or do you have a guide who could include GOT info?

When I booked, I said that we were interested in seeing GoT sites. We were happy to get Nina for our walking tour, who was knowledgeable about GoT and brought along a GoT picture binder to show us when we were near film sites. She also talked about filming and local friends who were extras. This was perfect for us to get Dubrovnik tour with some GoT added since we had limited time to tour with only one day in Dubrovnik. We also had time to walk the wall after the tour.

Hi, the tour guide picks up from any ship that docks, he will know what ship you are on as when you book that is part of the information required, he will then wait for you where you disembark at port.

Do all the passengers have to be from the same cruise ship? I see availability but don’t know what ship the group is originating from.

Each ship arrives at different time so we make one group for each cruise ship arrival. It's written in our calendar which ship a tour is for, just check a availability for date when your ship is arriving in Dubrovnik. Have a nice trip!
