The guide was excellent and very well-informed about the history. Great for those who want an overview of the place and to learn more about the place and the people.

      Great geographic and historic overview
It's a short and sweet overview of the palace history. Slavko is super knowledgeable and clearly enthusiastic about the history of Split. I only wish we could have dove even more into the details and stories. I think he does private tours which I'd recommend if you are a real history buff.

      Amazingly Interesting and Informative Tour
Our tour of the Diocletian Palace in Split with Slavko at Split Walking Tour was absolutely fantastic! He was incredibly personable and brought the history of the palace to life with his fascinating stories and deep knowledge. Slavko’s enthusiasm and engaging manner made the experience unforgettable, and he truly elevated our entire trip. We can’t recommend him enough—if you’re visiting Split, a tour with Slavko is a must!

      A Must Do!
I am a former tour guide, and let me tell you, Slavko gave an amazing walking tour of Diocletian's Palace (basically Split). He not only knows the history of the city and Croatia inside and out, but has a great sense of humor, keeping you engaged and enthralled. He is obviously proud of his country (even when joking about their weaknesses) and loves to share its history. And, he speaks better American English than I do! Hvala, Slavko!!

      Well recommended!
"Split Walking Tour with Diocletian Palace (Eng)" Ivan gave our small group a very enjoyable and informative tour of Split and Diocletian’s Palace. He is knowledgeable and had a good way of presenting the history. This tour is affordable and a very good use of shore time -- would recommend to friends!

Guide hard to hear, no microphone. We stopped to take a picture and he took off and left us.Missed last 20 minutes
The guide was knowledgeable but hard to hear , no microphone. Stopped to take a quick picture of the basement where game of thrones dragons was filmed and guide left us behind. Literally took one photo and he was gone! Missed last 20 -30 mi of tour.

      Excellent
Excellent. Great value for money. Very informative and at a reasonable pace. The guide brought lots of knowledge and insight. Also gave us tips for areas which are reasonably priced to eat. Definitely recommend this tour.

      A perfect intro
An ideal way to start a stay in the city, we had arrived the night before and chose to avoid the palace knowing we had a tour first thing and were glad to experience it for the first time with so much information provided. Our tour guide Jakov was very knowledgeable, approachable and entertaining, even providing recommendations for the rest of our visit.

      Slightly disappointing
Rainy day for our tour which didn’t help but we were a bit disappointed with the tour. The guide in Split was excellent so it started well then he handed our group over to be driven by van to Trogir. The driver was giving occasional insights into the surrounding area but we couldn’t hear at all in the back seat. The van was very uncomfortable with poor suspension. In Trogir the guide was interesting but we ended up with about 45 minutes to get lunch and have free time in Trogir. As a group we all wanted more free time but the tour is apparently set up for cruise visitors who have limited time. None of our group were on a cruise ship but we didn’t get the opportunity to request a later pick up. We have done better tours in the past

      Great introduction to Split
Antonia was a great guide and gave a fantastic first impression of Split. She explained the history of the city succinctly and in great detail. Her tour of the Diocletian's Palace was also very informative and helped me decide where else to revisit in my own time. A great introduction to the city.

Split is brimming with history and I am so glad we took a private guide to visit it, it was well worth the price. The colorful guide went to extra length (literally : he went well past the expected time of the tour and never rushed us in any way) explaining the details about the streets, monuments, statues, ruins, etc. with great passion.
I would definitely recommend. Split is a nice city to visit in itself, but all the lively explanations, anecdotes and stories we received during the tour made our time there truly unforgettable!

The waterfalls and the nature were stunning. We had a really good time with Jana, she did an excellent job! We only paid 16€ (park entrance not included) for transfer (1,5h per way), Guide and beach experience in Primošten, so very attractive price-performance ratio here. Would definitely recommend this trip! Thank you very much!!

Fantastic way to start the visit at Split! The guide (Ivar, apparently potentially one of many) was an excellent facilitator, humorous while able to captivate the audience with amazing storytelling and interesting facts and anecdotes.

I would recommend everyone to start their visit at Split with a guided tour!

Split is a very interesting city for a walking tour - history, architecture, and the atmosphere of a "palace" which in fact is a walled-in old town next to the sea. But the best was the guide - very knowledgeable and extremely entertaining. Must go and do tip! (most people didn't which I find rude)

We had an amazing tour through the Palace of Dioclitian. Our tour guide Slavko was great, he knew everything about the history and explained everything in a very passionate way with a lot of humour. We had walked through the palace a couple times before, but didn't realize how many important historic things we simply didn't notice. Would recommend everyone in Split to take this tour

THIS is how you learn about Split! What a great educational and entertaining stroll through and around Diocletian’s Palace. Jakov is an incredibly knowledgeable and personable guide, weaving humor and personal experience seamlessly into the tour. Such a comprehensive summary of history, as well as Croatian culture past and present.

Ivan was a great tour guide. It was especially nice since there were only 12 of us. I think that most of us were looking for information about Split. We learned about the ancient history of Split, which was quite interesting. I would definitely recommend this tour. Small group who were all attentive and Ivan was a very good instructor.
