- rvana0010 contributionsCopán tour excellentThe tour was amazing and Gaby was an exceptional tour guide. Highly recommended. It was a tour that was definitely worth it. And the restaurant we went to in Copán town was delicious. Once again, highly recommend and ask for Gaby to be your tour guide.Written 3 December 2024
- BiggsJim0 contributionsAmazing tour of CopanThis was an amazing experience professionally coordinated by the guide Gaby. She’s the best. Bring your passport! This trip will fill your passport books with stamps as you go through Guatemala and Honduras. It’s a long day but Gaby has that rare knack of being a good conversation maker as well as a good soundtrack. Cloak is worth the tripWritten 1 December 2024
- W1560VWgrega0 contributionsDefinitely do this tour!If you love hiking and beautiful places, book this tour. It is physically demanding but worth it. The landscape is stunning, the view from the crater is spectacular, and the whole experience is amazing. Josué was our guide and he was so much fun. Ask for him! Josué is the best!Written 29 November 2024
- kaixiangz20240 contributionsPerfect and surprising tripThis trip has been absolutely fascinating! Visiting two incredible Mayan sites in one day—Joya de Cerén and Tazumal—was an unforgettable experience. At Joya de Cerén, walking through the remarkably preserved remains of daily Mayan life felt like stepping back in time. It’s amazing to think that this “Pompeii of the Americas” gives us such a vivid snapshot of how ordinary people lived centuries ago. Then at Tazumal, the towering pyramids and intricate ruins told a completely different story—one of power, ceremony, and the architectural brilliance of the Mayan civilization. What made the day even better was Gabriel, our tour guide. He’s such an interesting and engaging person, full of knowledge and enthusiasm. He knows the history inside and out, but what really stood out was the way he told it—so clear and easy to understand, even for someone like me who isn’t a history expert. He has this knack for turning facts into stories that really bring the past to life. And it’s not just that he’s knowledgeable—his joyful personality and sense of humor made the entire experience so much more enjoyable. It felt like more than just a tour; it was like exploring history with a friend who truly loves what he does.Written 29 November 2024
- W1560VWgrega0 contributionsA great experience in El Salvador!Truly a great tour. Gaby picked us up from our Airbnb at the stated time and the drive was comfortable as we drove to the Monkey sanctuary. The location was beautiful and we saw so many monkeys! Kayaking was a lot of fun and there were very clean bathrooms to change in. Such a great tour.Written 26 November 2024
- AZTravelingMatt0 contributionsAwesome views of a volcanos, near San SalvadorThis is a great day trip from San Salvador. You'll spend most of your time enoying the hike, not driving to the destination. The hike is moderate and the views are spectacular. The photos don't do it justice. My tour was with David, an enthusiastic, fun guide who knows a lot about his country and the volcano and he keeps it interesting. A good guide makes a lot of difference in the outcome and I was lucky to have David, he's a perfect guide in every way and knows how to keep the energy up and make it fun for everyone.Written 17 November 2024
- shanaeng0 contributionsAmazingThe hike was nice and the view at the top spectacular. The view of the lake and lunch at the lake was amazing as well. Josué was also an amazing guide. Very friendly and offered us some information about El Salvador along the way which we loved! He made our hike very memorable and enjoyable. Would definitely recommend!Written 12 November 2024

- alondraj1470 contributionsHad a great time - no complaintsThis was a great experience. Gabby was an excellent guide and I felt safe and well cared for the entire time. Worth the money in total value and convenience and I’d most certainly do it again. Highly recommend for solo travelers.Written 9 November 2024
- kelly b0 contributionsSuch a great experience time! From beginning to end, we had such a great time! We were lucky and it was just us and Chamba; our guide. We were able to go at our pace and truly enjoy the waterfalls. Chamba had a great energy the whole time and was super patient and made sure we were safe throughout the whole time. We were lucky enough to also have some of the waterfalls to ourselves for a bit and Chamba took incredible photos and videos for us! We absolutely loved our whole experience!Written 7 November 2024
- Moises Z0 contributionsJosué is the best tour guide for Guatemala and all your tours!Josué was the best tour guide(and photographer haha)! He was on time and very professional. He made our tour very personal to us. He was kind and charismatic and made sure to go the extra mile to make sure we were having the best experience in Guatemala. His driving skills were very impressive. We felt very safe along the way. He was also great with our baby. He was very knowledgeable on El Salvador and Guatemala. We would recommend 100% this tour and would love to work with Josué in other tours in the future.Written 31 October 2024

- lucysE7196SZ0 contributionsPerfecto! What a beautiful outing from start to finish! The best thing was Gaby, my guide. She was so knowledgable, thoughtful and adaptable. As a regular hiker, the hike was moderate but enough of a challenge and the lunch by the lakeside was perfect! I would highly recommend this day trip and Gaby! Lucy SWritten 17 October 2024

I never went to the Mayan ruins, surf city, the lakes were already mentioned in previous reviews. These locations were not listed separately. The Santa ana volcano is a must see location and you can take a tour and climb the side of the volcano. When you reach the summit, you get a breathtaking view of the iake inside of this active volcano. It takes around 2 hours each way for this hike and a tour guide is required for around $50 per person. You also have to a pay a small park fee, as well. This may seem like a lot of money, but can you imagine doing this hike on a daily basis as your job in all types of weather conditions.
Lake Coatepeche is probably the most popular lake in all of ES. I could not believe all of the muliti million-dollar homes with their luxury boats on their private piers. There are a lot of nice restaurants to eat or small kiosk syle food locations, as well. I enjoyed going to this one restaurant that had a couple locations where you can swim within the complex. There is a kids swimming pool and a good place to take your family. You also must pull over on the side of the road and get a overall scenic photo of the entire lake at the summit. Once again, my favorite part of the visit was taking another scenic boat ride that only cost $25 for 2 people and I left at $6 tip here. The entire location is so beautiful, very clean, safe, inexpensive and a great place for some rest and relaxation.
