          Amazing experience!
Osmaro was a very good guide. He's very knowledgeable, enthusiastic and professional. The view of boquerón was amazing and Suchitoto was beautiful! I would do it again.

          Something that can’t be missed!
Wow, what can I say? Our tour guide Os was wonderful, knowledgeable, and accommodating. He took us all around and added in extra since we had time. In one day we were able to see more than we thought possible! Os also took us to an amazing restaurant with an overlook view that had spectacular food! Thank you so much. We look forward to seeing you again on our next trip!

Beautiful hike, followed by swimming and jet skiing
My favorite experience in El Salvador! We were lucky enough to be the only ones in the tour group that day. Osmaro was an excellent guide, providing us with a thorough history of the country as well as a lot of knowledge on the local flora, fauna, and geography of the region. The hike up the volcano was beautiful. Not too difficult, but would recommend good shoes as the top portion is rocky and a little steep. Be sure to bring cash to buy a popsicle at the top. After spending some time at the top, Osmaro took us to a great coffee shop overlooking the lake. Then, we went to the lake. We had plenty of time for a long swim and a 30 minute jet ski rental. It was a great day! Thank you Osmaro!

          Relaxing Day of Sights
This was a very relaxing tour, we learned a lot about the history of El Salvador. We visited several quaint towns during the day and got to walk around the city centers before going to the coffee plant. The tour was very informative and the tasting at the end was great. We ended the day with lunch and a soak at the hot springs, it was a really cool place, wish we would have stayed at the hotel at the hot springs! Herbert was an excellent guide and spoke fluent English. Highly recommend this tour if you're into casual exploring and coffee!

Land and Water, Something for Everyone!
This was an awesome tour. It was a bit cloudy when we started, but cleared up as we hiked up the volcano and ended up getting some great photos. The early hike is definitely the way to go because we basically had the summit to ourselves, and as we descended we probably passed 200 people on their way up. Herbert was an awesome guide who spoke great English and made sure everyone was engaged and enjoying the tour. We had lunch at Lake Coatepeque a d were able to rent wave runners for 30 mins. It was a great day highly recommend.

          Santa Ana Volcano hike
Herbert was THE BEST tour guide. This was our second tour with him. The van picked us up at 6 am and we were off! The Santa Ana Volcano hike was beautiful. We got our exercise for the day and great photos of the area from up high!! Herbert is super knowledgeable about the area. Lunch at a restaurant overlooking the lake was very relaxing. Thanks, Herbert!!

          Prueba Superada !!
The whole experience is amazing, we are not hikers but it was something we always wanted to do. The feeling you get when you make it to the top is pure adrenaline. Our tour guide Osmaro was very nice and knew a lot of history about the trip. Then he took us to eat near the lake and it was too bad we didn’t bring swimming shorts because it must have been refreshing to dive into the cold water. If you are a hiker and love the outdoors, this is something you should have at the very top of your bucket lists when you visit El Salvador.

          Seven Waterfalls Tour
Hiking the seven waterfalls was definitely worth the experience. I fell and busted my knee within two minutes of the hike, but it was breathtaking, very relaxing, a little stressful but all worth it. Osmaro as always very friendly very attentive with my brother and I. He made us feel very comfortable throughout the hike. He made sure we captured every moment of our hike. He was definitely worried for us throughout the hike because we thought we weren’t going to make it, but he made sure that we followed his instructions in order for us to have a successful hike. I definitely recommend him for all your hikes and tours.

A Must See El Salvador Adventure
This adventure went extremely well. Our guide, Osmaro was on time for our pick-up, informative on el Salvador’s history and people, geophysical and natural aspects of the volcan and he was flexible to accommodate everyone in our group. We sampled local culture and cuisine including mariachi music with lunch. The vistas from the volcan were amazing and we even found a special, unexpected treat at the top. It was a delightful day and Osmaro even helped us with a minor problem the day after our tour _ service above and beyond our expectations.

This was a wonderful tour with Herbert! He was so kind, respectful and informational. You will learn something and really appreciate the culture of El Salvador. He went at our pace for the hike, engaged in happy/positive conversation the whole time. The views at the top are breathtaking! He took us to a beautiful lunch spot as well. Overall, 10/10, would recommend Herbert and this tour!

          Fantastic! Above and beyond!
Os (our guide and driver) was beyond fantastic! His knowledge of all things tour related, El Salvador related, and Meso-America related was vast and deep. Os was friendly, personable, and went above and beyond the normal driver/guide duties. It was like having a friend who happened to be a college professor be our guide! Highly, highly recommend!

I had an incredible experience exploring the highlights of San Salvador in just one day, thanks to Eco Tours Petat. The itinerary was well-organized, ensuring we could make the most of every moment while enjoying a mix of natural beauty, cultural landmarks, and a touch of fun.

        El Boquerón National Park
The tour began with a visit to El Boquerón, a breathtaking crater at the summit of San Salvador volcano. The cool air and lush surroundings made it a refreshing escape from the city’s heat. The views from the top were stunning, with the crater’s unique terrain offering endless photo opportunities. The guide provided fascinating insights about the volcano’s history and its importance to the region.

        Rainbow Slide Adventure
Next, we headed to the famous Rainbow Slide. It was pure fun and excitement! The slide added a playful touch to the day, and the vibrant colors against the backdrop of green hills were truly Instagram-worthy. Whether you’re a kid at heart or just looking for a memorable experience, this stop was a highlight.

        Historic Center of San Salvador
The tour concluded with a visit to the Historic Center. Walking through the bustling streets, we explored landmarks like the Metropolitan Cathedral, National Palace, and El Rosario Church. The guide’s knowledge of San Salvador’s history and culture brought the city to life, making the experience both educational and enjoyable.

        Overall Experience
Eco Tours Petat delivered a seamless and memorable journey. The transportation was comfortable, the schedule was perfectly paced, and the guide was friendly and well-informed. This tour is an excellent way to experience the best of San Salvador in a short time, catering to nature lovers, adventure seekers, and history enthusiasts alike.

This was an amazing tour to see so much of San Salvador in 1 day. Herbert was our guide, and did an excellent job! He picked us up from our AirBB on time, with water and a large van with AC. We started the day sight seeing the city center and all of the monuments, along with lots of great history on El Salvador and it's roots. He was an excellent guide and communicator. He stopped to take photos of us at each of the locations. We got to see churches, volcanos, and even the big slide. You get to end the day with delicious local food which he recommended, and it did not disappoint. There's no way we could have accomplished so much on our own, this was money well spent. I highly recommend requesting Herbert as your guide if you take this tour, he was very considerate of the guests, answers all questions, and provides you with very safe tour. Many thanks for sharing your beautiful city with us!

We really enjoyed the tour. The history shared was very touching. The views were worth the stairs. Our guide Rafa was a true professional, with great communication the day prior and very informative during the tour. Thank you Rafa!
Some advice - wear comfortable and grippy shoes for a bit of a hike in potentially slippery stones/mud areas. Bring a rain jacket if it’s cloudy, and any sort of jacket if you get cold easily. It was a little cold at the top of El Boqueron.

What a fun tour!!! It was very comfortable with air-conditioned van , small group , and perfectly timed to avoid the crowds. Tour guide (Herbert) was extremely knowledgeable of the history of the city, historical facts and figures, and volcanoes. He adjusted our tour schedule to make sure we got to do all the activities listed even if the weather changed. Bonus points for the tour being offered in English. Guide was very fluent in both English and Spanish . Highly recommend !!!

We took the best of San Salvador tour. Raphael gave us the very best tour!!! He was very consider of us and gave us more time than we paid for. I felt he went out of his way to make our time enjoyable. His driving ability is amazing. We saw San Salvador first and then went to the volcano and Rainbow Slide. (I don't know what time the slide opens.) Due to the crowd we encountered at the volcano and slide in the afternoon, I wonder if we should have gone to the volcano and slide first and then to the city. I thank him!!!!!

        Review - ☆☆☆☆☆

My buddy and I had an amazing tour of San Salvador by Osmaro "Oz" from Eco Tours Petate.  Oz was punctual on picking us up from our hotel, had a clean ride and spoke great English!

We visited some well-known attractions and locations like the Cuscatlan Park, Centro Histórico De SS, the National Library of El Salvador, National Palace of Salvador, Metropolitan Cathedral of San Salvador, Iglesia El Rosario, and Mercado Ex-Cuartel during the morning.

Afterwards, we headed out of the city area and made our way up to Parque Nacional El Boquerón where we hiked up to check out the beautiful view of a volcano crater.  During lunch, we stopped at this nearby local restaurant called El Ático Volcán where we enjoyed some delicious pupusa, some el pastor mini tacos, and drinks before we headed to the Picnic Steak House for our final attraction, the Rainbow 🌈 Slide!

Overall, it was a great tour and introduction to San Salvador and Oz was very knowledgeable about the history of each location!  I just wished my memory card on my Action 3 camera didn't fill up at the first location stop.  I guess I'll just have to book this tour again the next time I visit El Salvador 🇸🇻!  What a beautiful, developed, and historic city.

        Thanks for the tour, Oz!

Rafael was the best tour guide I’ve ever had. He was a wealth of knowledge and had a beautiful spirit. He truly showed us the best of San Salvador and he even stopped a couple of extra spots just because we thought they looked cool. If I’m ever back I’m definitely booking with him again.
