Our tour guide did a great job of helping us out together the puzzle pieces that make up Serbia history and culture. All stops had meaning

Explore beyond Belgrade with Victor Tours!
Constantin was a really great tour guide and was open to any and all questions. He's super knowledgeable and made a lot of jokes which I really liked. The best part was the wine tasting in Sremski Karlovci. Unfortunately, I forgot the woman's name, but she was so sweet, and the wine was tasting. It puts Serbian wines on the map. Overall, I think it's enough time to see the sights, and get a feel for northern Serbia, just make sure to have breakfast before the wine tasting ;)

          👍 Good one
Great and beautiful trip. Nice view, cool mix of historical and modern places. Good guide. The last village "Капитан Мишин Брег" is really cozy with great views on Danube and good food. Thanks

          Belgrade short vacation
You can go to the city from Belgrade Nikola Tesla airport in several ways. We preferred a taxi, the taxi fare between the airport and the city is 25-30 Euros. Belgrade local traffic is very gracious. It doesn't take much time to go from one place to another. However, since we stayed in the city center, we walked to many places or took the publicbus sometime . Their food is delicious and affordable. Portions are quite large. You can eat some portions for two people. There are not many historical monuments in the city of Belgrade. But Nikola Tesla's house is quite interesting. Also , St. Sava cathedral is worth seeing place... You can see the view where the Danube and Sava rivers meet from Kalemegdan park.

Great value for money, fantastic way to spend a day in Serbia
This trip was great, we did a lot of things during the day. My favourite part was wine tasting, I regret not bringing check in luggage because it's not possible to bring any bottles with you and the wine was absolutely amazing! Dragana has been a great guide, super knowledgeable and just a lovely lovely person. I would say this trip is a must-do when you're in Serbia

          Western Serbia tour
I had the best time on this tour. Although it was rainy and snowy, it was still amazing. Our guide, Milos, had buckets of info regarding Serbias history and where we went. Thanks for a great day. I fell in love with Western Serbia

Awesome tour of Beogrand, the white city!
Our trip to Serbia and Beogrand was beyond expectations. Beautiful and diversified city with thousands of years of history. Restaurants and food delicious, too. Many interesting things to visit, museums, squares, churches, and fortress. Particularly, we would like to express our gratitude to our tour guide, Constantinos, for his kindness, knowledge, and the massive amount of information he shared with us. Indeed, he is a good asset for the company and for the country, too.

          Overall
Overall, the travel experience was great, but waiting until 4 PM for lunch left me quite hungry. Additionally, there were limited opportunities for restroom breaks along the way. Hope they can improve the meal and restroom arrangements for future trips.

          Great day trip out!
The trip was great. We were picked up on time and there were no issues with the day. Our tour guide was also very knowledgeable and provided lots of information about the region and the town. We also loved the wine tasting! Would be even better if the information was relayed by way of more storytelling so it could be more relatable.

We had an EXCELLENT guide called Konstantin who was very knowledgeable about everything - history, geography, religions and foods. He is an excellent driver and we felt safe. He is kind and thoughtful and all our needs were met. He gave us ample time at each monastery and cave and the delicious lunch at the waterfall. The drive through the country is nice and we loved getting picked up at our hotel.

I really enjoyed this day out with Victor Tours. The monasteries are incredibly beautiful, and the photos do not do them justice at all. A bit of a drive in the car to get there, but you do get to see quite a bit of the Serbian countryside. Just bring sufficient cash for lunch, which was delicious!

It was a great experience. Uros, the guide, was very kind, he knows a lot about geography, history and he also explains very well. He is dedicated and also gave time to take pictures, and helped with the best spots. We had lunch at a very tradicional place, explained the different kind of foods and suggested what to eat. Highly recommended!!!

The tour was amazing. We get to explore the serbian culture to the fullest by visiting Ravanica and Manasija monastery. We had great time exploring Resava cave. The dinner at the local Serbian restaurant Lesinski raj was great. It was right after we saw the beautiful Veliki Buk waterfall. Overall it was an awesome tour. Special thanks to Marko for this outstanding experience. His guidance was beyond any expectations.

I had booked with this company for airport return trip, belgrade big tour, eastern serbia monasteries tour and nova sad- for a 4 night stay in belgrade.

All tours were amazing and full day tours, however you get to enjoy this country in very diverse ways. I was blessed to have my guide as Nemaja (Stefan) and driver Pavle. Pavle was an awesome driver, highly educated and well engaged with the audience.

Stefan, where do i start, i had initially requested for Alexsander, however had been blessed with Stefan for all my three tours. Different people on each tour, however it never exceeded to more than 6, so rather personal and you established great bonds.

Stefan is passionate about his country, and you see that, highly engaged, very kind hearted and makes you feel as though you saw everything but something was left and develops this desire to return to see more.

On one of the tours, we had children and he managed that very well. As with many tours, especially when you have small groups, everyone has a different challenging perspective/ expectations and personalities, and he created a spark amongst the guests and really wheeled them into a union form!

His very soft, has alot of historical knowledge, so you learn the facts. Further, his passion is strong and sense of connection is his asset. If i ever return to Belgrade, his my first choice! Highly encourage you to leverage this company and request for Stefan, and you may feel like i am, that i am leaving, however something wants me to return.

Perhaps you will see the beauty of such a nation and the passion of locals who are so rich in culture, religion and history.

        Hi all,
I did this trip 3 weeks ago. I only had a small idea what to expect (old monastries and a cave) but the day brought me so much more!

I was picked up by the mini-fan close to my hotel in Zemun (they made the drive all the way out of Belgrade-centre) to join one other tourist from the USA, our guide Stefan and most friendly driver Ratomir.
Already on the two hour drive to the south, we got so much information! Stefan told us all about the history of Serbia and there was plenty of room for extra questions, chatting, culture exchange, learning languages. So much more than I expected and I was still just sitting in a van...

First stop was the Ravanica monastry, build by a Prince who is buried there. The stories where followed by the highly decorated walls of the eastern-orthodox church. It was a short stop, just enough to start the feeling of a very special day.

Next stop was the limestone cave which we could visit just by ourselves. The chalk formations in every room and even in the corridors were amazing! Outside it was all hills, forest, green, serenity, totally being away from the city. We past some old mines, old bridges, hay fields, and not many traffic.
We had an authentic lunch close to a waterfall, more time to chat and learn each other's opinions about worldly topics. The busdriver of 76 years had joined us for his own unique view about life, completely in Serbian. Luckily Stefan could translate everything to English ;)

Last stop; without a doubt the highlight of my 6day stay in Serbia: Manasija monastry. Completely hidden in the forests is this early 15th century church, surrounded by the high and thick walls of a war-castle! Surreal! The nuns still living there have the best space, a beautiful painted church, but also the ruins of the old monastry and all the walls. You could climb and walk the parts that are renovated, to get even more sight of the impressive buildings.

To spent this day in such good company made the whole experience 10 times more valuable then it already was. As a solo-traveler this is such a welcoming change.

So if you spent at least 3 days in Belgrade, make sure at one day you travel south to see the monastries and the splendor of green-Serbia!

        Enjoy your travels!

It was a Private Tour - booked via GetYoutGuide, but fulfilled by Victor Tours. The guide, Aleksandar, was extremely good: he was very knowledgeable but seemed readily to adapt his information and discussion to what we found most interesting. He spoke English very well indeed - fluent with only a minimal accent, such that he was very easy to understand. The vehicle was a new or fairly new, clean Skoda saloon car.
The tour included some significant driving distances (with up to 2h between sites) and went through areas that otherwise would have been difficult (one suspects impossible) to get to by public transport.

The monasteries were very well set in tranquil locations (eg a wooded valley) and, at least when we went, there was almost no one else there. Manasija monastery was extremely impressive, being set within a completely preserved and very substantial medieval castle! Both monasteries contained ancient frescoes and were architecturally very different from (betraying their Byzantine origins) the churches and chapels of NW Europe.

The caves were also very quiet - the two of us and Aleksandar were the only ones present withing the quite extensive (and well presented eg appropriate lighting) 2 level cave system. It would be worth mentioning though that the cave was a little on the cool side and the floor surface, especially on the stairs, sometimes a bit slippery. Suitable footwear and a jacket (plus, although the guide had one anyway, a torch for completeness) would be important considerations. The caves themselves were intriguing and contained lots of interestingly shaped deposits, including some that looked distinctly coral-like.

We ate (quite late ~3pm - after prior discussion and our explicit agreement) at a local restaurant en route back to Belgrade. It was a restaurant that was clearly for locals (we were the only tourists). The decor, food and service were extremely good - and the prices extremely low. My wife had the baked lamb whilst i had cevapi. Neither could be faulted - but unfortunately, I did not make a note of the restaurant name!

We got back at around 5.15pm,having been collected from the hotel punctually at 9am.

in short, a professional efficient and friendly guide. One gets to see several attractions and drive through varied scenery and some towns & villages - some of it quite reminiscent of the southern part of mid-Wales. The logistical side of things worked out very well - no delays or inefficiencies.

Aleksandar was a great guide, who replies to emails very promptly and picked us up very punctually.
The ride through the countryside was smooth and he told us many interesting facts about the Serbian history and everyday life.
He managed to make history come to life, but also gave us time to roam free and take pictures.
We really enjoyed the trip and are looking forward to returning to Serbia and explore some more.

It's 36+ degrees C outside. What to do? Stumble around Belgrade while the tarmac melts? No! Go for a trip in an air conditioned van.

The day started with a 2 hour drive to the East of Serbia. That might sound a long time but the journey flew by due to our driver/guide Aleksander. He was full of information about the history of Belgrade and Serbia. He was also a very pleasant and personable guy, a pleasure to spend the day with.

Both monasteries (we'd actually call them nunneries in the UK) were great examples of the architecture and religious art of the time. Aleksander gave a good account of the rulers who built them and how they related to sociopolitical events of the time with ramifications that have lasted until the present day.

However, the star of the show (if you're a bit obsessed with caves) was the Resava Cave. It may not be the biggest in the world but the 800m or so of publicly accessible cave has a good range of features including many that resemble other objects (turkey's leg anyone?). Another bonus is that caves have a constant temperature - no sweltering heat down there :)

Lunch is well worth the few extra dinar. My wife had trout and I had some melt in the mouth veal. Even the bread and salad were delicious. Post lunch one can relax at a nearby waterfall. Fabulous.

All in all, a top day out.

An excellent private tour organised by Aleksandar Jovanovic. The best professional service ever offered by any other company. Aleksandar is very curtious, professional and a good command of British English language. We would recommend to every British tourist who would like to know more about an original experience of a Serbian medival and Serbian Orthodox church histories to book the same tour with Victor tours.
