Bucharest Sights and Bites with Traditional Romanian Meal

Overview
Discover Bucharest’s turbulent history and hearty local flavor on this half-day tour that combines sightseeing with dinner at a traditional Romanian inn. The sprawling capital can be intimidating to explore on your own, so let a guide show you all the major sights, such as Revolution Square, supersized Parliament Palace, and charming Old Town. Then, rest your feet over a 3-course meal of authentic Romanian specialties.
What to Expect
Make your way to Revolution Square in central Bucharest to meet your guide and learn about the historic events that happened here. See the former Royal Palace and National Theatre, and learn how Victory Avenue, Military Circle, and Telephone Palace got their names as you stroll down one of the city’s main boulevards into historic Old Town. See why Bucharest was once called the “Paris of the East” as you wind through narrow streets and pass medieval buildings.

Marvel at the grand scale of Parliament Palace (People’s Palace), one of the world’s largest buildings and the former home of Romanian dictator Nicolae Ceausescu. After several hours of sightseeing, settle in to a traditional inn (hanu) for a 3-course dinner. Skip tourist traps and enjoy authentic Romanian dishes along with a drink, lingering over your meal as long as you like.
