Day 1: Full-day tour of Ljubljana
After being picked up from your Zagreb hotel, meet your guide and small group of up to 15 people, and hop aboard the bus in time for an 8am departure. Relax on the around 2-hour journey, admiring the scenery as you cross the border into neighboring Slovenia and wind through the countryside.
Arrive in the capital, Ljubljana, around 10am and follow your guide on a walking tour of the city, before enjoying free time to sightsee independently, shop for souvenirs, and tuck into lunch (own expense) at a local restaurant.
In the afternoon, continue north to see Slovenia’s oldest castle – the dramatically situated Bled Castle, which towers atop a 330-foot (100-meter) high cliff, overlooking Bled Lake. Spend time marveling at the views and taking photos, before setting out on the return journey to Zagreb.
Arrive back in Zagreb around 7pm, where your tour ends with drop-off at your hotel.
Day 2: Walking tour of Zagreb
Make your own way to the meeting point in Zrinjevac Park in time for a 10.30am or 5pm departure (depending on option selected). Accompanied by your guide and small group of up to 15 people, set out to explore Zagreb on a 2.5-hour walking tour. Stroll around Zagreb’s famous ‘Green Horseshoe’, a scenic circuit of idyllic parks, museums, and historic buildings, as your guide fills you in on the fascinating history of the Croatian capital. Along the way, soak up the atmosphere of lively Tkalciceva Street, admire the medieval buildings of the Gradec district, and pause to snap photos of landmarks such as the Stone Gate.
Your tour ends in the Trg bana Josipa Jelacica, Zagreb’s bustling central square.
