- Anna-Mari K0 contributionsExcellent tour!Visited Sarajevo on my own in January and was recommended this tour by a friend who had visited before. It was amazing, our tour guide, Almir, was very friendly and super knowledgeable about the history of Yugoslavia, Bosnia and Sarajevo. Almir had a lot of personal stories about the siege of Sarajevo which gave the tour a wonderfully intimate touch and really made me understand the war better. Would highly recommend to anyone visiting Sarajevo.Written 19 January 2025

- G4530STfionas0 contributionsUnforgettable tour and experience in BiHReally great full day out with Meet Bosnia Tours!. I am coeliac, and when I explained this, they provided me with a gluten free breakfast sandwich for our tour, I appreciated this so much as not all your companies would go to this extra effort. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable, he gave us lots of information about the places we visited, the geography of the area, and about the history of the country. Visiting in January on a Sunday meant that quite a lot was closed in Mostar, but meant we had great photo opportunities as there were no crowds. I loved the Kravice falls, really breathtaking! Also the Sufi House, photos dont do it justice! From the drama of the mountains surrounding it to the beautiful blue of the water. Such a peaceful place. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this tour to anyone who wants to venture out of Sarajevo and into Herzegovina. I found meet Bosnia tours so friendly and welcoming. Also highly recommend their free walking tour of Sarajevo.Written 19 January 2025
- G4530STfionas0 contributionsA must do tour for visitors to SarajevoSuch a great way to get to know Sarajevo as a first time visitor. Armina was a fantastic guide, she took us to the main sights, explaining very well in English, the history behind them. We were given recommendations of great places to eat and drink, and she answered all our questions. I even got a hug from Armina at the end, she’s lovely and so welcoming. I’m so glad I took this tour as there is so much to learn about Sarajevo. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Meet Bosnia tours, and also for their great Mostar full day tour too!Written 19 January 2025
- TB7390 contributionsFantastic, relatively easy walking tour with great soghts and food at the summitFantastic tour from downtown Sarajevo to Umoljani by van, walking the rest through a relatively shaded path (which we would not have found on our own) expertly guided by Jasmin. An ad hoc group of mainly solo travels was another unexpected treat. A bit crowded with cars once we got to Lukomir. A relatively easy hike with at least one water source/fountain on the way (you need a guide to lead you to it). Except for being nervous about local driving habits, I would do it again any time and would highly recommend Jasmin and Bosnia Tours!Written 18 January 2025
- Culture8254380 contributionsFantastic Day TripBeautiful spots on the tour and the guide was incredibly helpful. He ensured we had plenty of time at each stop and helped with any questions. Super friendly staff and would highly recommend to anyone thinking of booking!Written 17 January 2025

- nicholasb080 contributionsScenic day tour from Sarajevo with waterfalls, fortresses, and local charm led by an excellent guideHad a great time on this tour. Sarajevo is a gorgeous city, but I was eager to see some other places in Bosnia and chose a day tour over renting a car. The morning meetup location was convenient and the van was comfortable ride throughout. Senad was a terrific guide and explained the historical and cultural context with humor and wisdom. We got waterfalls, fortresses, and lunch by the lake on an autumn afternoon, but I most appreciated the morning breakfast location where the coffee arrived with a cigarette and matches—it's true you really can't have one without the other. Thanks, Meet Bosnia team! 🇧🇦Written 13 January 2025
- Dr_Tezcur0 contributionsVisiting Srebrenica with AlmirAlmir was a gracious and generous guide. He provided excellent information about many aspects of the recent Bosnian history and sociopolitics. Everything was superbly organized and went very well. Visiting Srebrenica is visceral experience and I am glad that we were able to witness and learn more about this dark side of humanity.Written 9 January 2025
- jiakaili0 contributionsExceptional and Insightful Srebrenica Genocide Study Tour with Meet BosniaI took the Srebrenica Genocide Study Tour with Meet Bosnia, guided by Almir, and it was an unforgettable experience. Almir was exceptionally professional, attentive, and incredibly knowledgeable, sharing detailed insights throughout the long drive to and from Srebrenica. He patiently answered all my questions, making the experience even more meaningful. The tour was well-paced, giving ample time at each location, and I appreciated the flexibility of the Meet Bosnia team. This is an excellent tour for anyone interested in understanding this significant part of history, and I highly recommend Meet Bosnia and Almir for their thoughtful and professional approach.Written 8 January 2025
- czechers0 contributionsBreathtaking beauty. Historic sites and entertaining car ride!Jasmin - what a guy! To my surprise was the only client on tour so ended up with my own private guide for the day. We got along immediately swapping stories, philosophies and insights during the many hours we had driving around this incredible country together. Touring in winter meant that for the most part there were no crowds and everything was easily accessible. Awesome value for money and you get to see and experience so much. Ask for Jasmin by name, if you can, he made the day that much more enjoyable and was highly entertaining! 11/10!Written 8 January 2025
- SFB1260 contributionsVery informative, relaxed and interesting tours with great tour guides! We took 2 tours in Dec 2024, in the middle of the winter. Tours were really good, and our guides Alen (walking tour of Sarajevo) and Senad (day tour of Mostar and surrounding attractions) were great. Alen was really knowledgable for a boy so young, and inspired us with his knowledge of Sarajevo and life during the war. Senad's tour was really informative, and he also took care of the varied needs of each person on the tour, never rushing and making sure we were comfortable at all times. His driving was excellent, safe and calm. This made the day enjoyable. Would have preferred more time in Mostar and at the waterfalls; I suggest stopping at fewer places during the winter months, as daylight hours were so short. Overall, both were a great experience which we'd recommend highly!Written 6 January 2025

We did a Sarajevo Food Tour with guide Armina on Dec 9.
A fantastic 4 hours of good food, walking and enriched with the culture of Sarajevo.
Our frist stop is at City Market where local buy meats, cheese, poultry and eggs. Here Armina brought us to one stall which sells variation of cheeses and sausages. We were given a tasting platter of few cheeses and sausages and that got us all buying.
Next we enter a small eatery Kiseljak and tasted small portion of grilled meats - beef, veal and chicken. This place is the 1st grilled shop in Sarajevo and the meat taste very good.
Another must try is the potato burek. This is so good. Crispy and flaky on the outer layer. Comes dessert we went into Baklava Ducan for two types of baklava.
Continued on to Pazarske Mantije followed with Boza. We loved this corn fermented drink and bought a bottle to try in the evening. Not to forget the bosnia coffee which we try at Bosanska Kafana. Lastly the traditional sogan dolma ( stuffed onions), Sarma (stuffed cabbage rolls and stuffed grape leaves roll)
Not only our stomach were overload with yummy food, we are enriched with Sarajevo old town pasts.
Highly reccommend her.

Great solo experience. I ended up being the only one on the tour, so I’m surprised they didn’t cancel, but I’m glad they didn’t. Selma (Salma?) was a fantastic tour guide, who knows her history and clearly loves her city. I have been fascinated by BiH and its history and she indulged all my questions with a unique insight, all while feeding me all the best foods in Sarajevo and showing me the artisanal crafts in the city. Great way to explore and learn more about the city

I had a delightful morning with Hanan, guiding me and just one other guest on a tour of the food and crafts of Sarajevo. She is a lovely, positive, intelligent young women, with native-level English skills. Despite the rain, she led us like a pro and was very generous with her time, extending the experience beyond the designated schedule. Some highlights included the food market (the cheese and meats!!), a gorgeous bakery (that I returned to on my own), a restaurant with traditional cooked dishes, cevapcici from a local haunt, Bosnian coffee and baklava. In between the food stops, we had an opportunity to digest a bit as we visited local craftsmen and women, who are (against all odds and with no government support) keeping up the old traditions--in copper making, slipper making, brush making (and he is 1 of only 4 craftspeople in all of the Balkans still doing it the old way). In addition to learning about their crafts, I enjoyed hearing about the personal stories and journeys. All the while, Hanan was available to translate and answer any questions about Bosnian culture. Highly recommend!

My husband and I recently did a private tour with Emina and it was excellent!! She was so knowledgeable about the city, easy going in accommodating our preferences, and thoughtful in answering our questions. She also offered great recommendations on how we could enjoy the Sarajevo film festival. The tour with Emina was a highlight of our trip!

My friend and I thoroughly enjoyed the food and crafts tour with Arna. She is a very sweet, kind, and knowledgeable guide. Arna took us to the best spots to try various local foods, as well as recommendations to try at a later time. The next day, we went to some of those recommendations! We loved the local markets we went to! I would highly recommend anyone to try this tour, but make sure you arrive hungry! Thanks again, Arna for a wonderful day!

My wife and I took this tour last week, and it was incredible. Our tour guide, Hidajeta, was superb! Her English is impeccable, and her knowledge of the old town (Baščaršija) is even better! Full disclosure: I am originally from Sarajevo and wanted to take my wife to see the city where I’m from. In order to give her the absolute maximum experience, we booked this tour. And we are very glad we did! No way I could have presented Sarajevo the way Hidajeta did. The tour lasted between 4 to 5 horse, and it was very much geared towards our interests. To boot, Hidajeta has developed relationships with all of the vendors you meet during the tour, so that your experience is one of someone who is from the old neighborhood. My wife and I travel all over the world, including large parts of Europe, Asia, Africa and the Americas and we always schedule tours of the places we visit. This was one of the best tours we have ever taken!

WOW! This tour was so much fun. I ate some wonderful local food and met some amazing people. This tour should not be missed. Our guide Arna was fantastic; she is from Sarajevo and shared the history of Old Town. We met some shoemakers, coppersmiths, and candy makers - all second or third generation crafts people.
We ate so much food - come hungry. We stopped by some local restaurants to sample some traditional Bosnian food. The sample sizes were quite large and everything was delicious. We had fresh baked bread, Begova čorba (soup), Sogan dolma (stuffed onion), I do not like onions but I loved this, Japrak (wrapped minced meat in vine leaves), and Uštipci (savory beignet) my favorite. This was only a small sample of what we had to eat.
Arna went out of her way to make me feel comfortable and to make sure I had a wonderful experience. In fact I booked another tour with her!
I would give it more stars if I could. You get so much for the price. It is a guided food, history, and craft tour.
Thank you “Meet Bosnia Travel”and especially Arna for making my stay in Bosnia so very special and for helping me see your wonderful country.
