- Vacation2807040 contributionsFantastic guide made this trek even better! The trek was great (despite weather not being perfect). But, our guide Gilber made our experience better than what we could have hoped for. We realised how much having such a great guide meant to us - his enthusiasm, extensive local knowledge, responsiveness and care for us in the face of unexpected landslides, Gilber really made our trip memorable and inspiring.Written 7 March 2025

- gautams8620 contributionsSalkantay trek with AbrahamThe Salkantay trek was one of the best trips I have done. Our guides, Abraham and Luis, were incredibly knowledgeable and thoughtful with our group. The accommodations are incredibly unique, the chefs are amazing at preparing local food to fill you up before and after a hard hike, and the scenery is breathtaking. Our trip flowed seamlessly from start to finish and Abraham truly made it an experience we will never forget. We are so grateful to have had this experience and cannot wait to return again.Written 10 November 2024
- 390geetak0 contributionsEverything was perfectly plannedIf you’re planning to do short Inca, traveling with Incredible Peru Tours is definitely worth it. The pickup in the hotel was on time also the drop off was in our hotel. The train route was very spectacular, the views from the train were very unique. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable who gave us a lot information of the Incas. Luis the expedition guide did everything possible to make the entire tour go excellent. We are grateful for the unconditional support of the team.Written 7 November 2024
- haleyr4210 contributionsAvoid this tour company, not goodOur guide Herbert was great. You could tell he genuinely wanted us to have a good time. In regard to Incredible Peru Tours as a tour company I would strongly suggest not using them 1) What is listed on Viator, Trip Advisor, Get Your Guide, etc. is wrong. There were no porters or muleteers and we had to carry our belongings. This wouldn't have been a problem had we known in advance...they told us the day before and we spent more money trying to accomodate. 2) It says you get on a 6 P.M. train to go home; the tour company booked our tickets the day before (we know this because they were on the phone with our guide) and because the 6 P.M. train was sold out, we were sent home on a 9:50 PM train. Our Air BnB wouldn't let us in because it was so late and canceled our accomodation with no refund. We then had to find an entirely different place to stay. We had a good time because it is a beautiful hike. But there are plenty of tour comapanies in Cusco. Stay away from this one.Written 7 November 2024
- 514abhisekd0 contributionsEverything was perfectly plannedI had the best experience of my life with Inca Trail Expeditions. Everything was very well organized and the Inca Trail tour was simply spectacular. From the first contact, the whole team was super attentive. The guides were friendly and knowledgeable, and the equipment was well prepared to ensure a safe and comfortable experience. The hike was challenging, but the views made it all worthwhile. Highly recommended!Written 4 November 2024
- 42biswajits0 contributionsPerfect salkantay trek, Excellent AdventureThe Salkantay trek exceeded all of my expectations. If you want a high quality trekking experience this is for you. Abraham and his team were excellent and exceeded all expectations. They made sure that the group was cohesive and ensured there were stops during the day to both allow people to catch their breath and give information about the area, culture or flora and fauna along the path. He adjusted the planned schedule daily based on our abilities and enabling us to get the most enjoyment out of the whole experience. Thank you Incredible Peru Tours.Written 3 November 2024
- arjuna6680 contributionsFantastic experienceThis has been a great 2 day Inca trail and had a very good experience with this company. This hike was beautiful and the views were unreal! Big shout out to Fredy who was a great guide. He took great care from the start of our trip to the end, making sure we were aware of everything along the way. Nice hotel and restaurant that the tour company takes you to, would do another tour with them without a doubt? Just an amazing experience. 10/10.Written 3 November 2024
- parthm4550 contributionsTrek of a lifetime Inca trail 4 days 3 nightsI did the short Inca trek with my friends, and it was an incredible experience! The views were stunning, and we got amazing photos. Fredy, our guide for all four days, was fantastic—knowledgeable, calm, and in great shape. He timed our climb back up to Machu Picchu from Aguas Calientes perfectly, so we arrived just as the clouds cleared! The hotel and meals included were excellent and definitely worth the price.Written 1 November 2024
- 142deepikam0 contributionsAn nice experience , short Inca trail 2 days /1 nightWe just finished the 2-day, 1-night short Inca Trail trek from Cusco, and it was amazing! Our guide, Abraham, made the experience even better. His energy and knowledge brought the trail to life, and he shared details that made it feel special. The hotel was very cozy, and the packed lunch for the hike was tasty. The view at the top was totally worth the tough climb up the rocky stairs!Written 31 October 2024
- 143patricku0 contributionsGreat experience on the Inca TrailI had a great experience on the Inca Trail with IPT. All the instructions we received before our arrival in Peru was very clear. Our guide, Juan, was brilliant, providing interesting information about the Inca sites we passed and about life in the Andes. He also gave a great tour of Machu Picchu itself - hearing the history behind the ruins made the experience even better. When my girlfriend fell ill on the first day, Juan was very supportive, even helping to procure a horse for her to ride to the first campsite. He was very accommodating for the rest of the trek, regularly checking to make sure she was ok and showing us a shortcut on the third day. The food provided was excellent, with tasty and varied meals. The porters deserve a lot of credit for their superhuman efforts to carry all the cooking gear and tents. The only confusing thing was the booking process. We used a link in the Lonely Planet guide to check the availability on the Inca Trail, which also allowed us to book. It wasn’t clear we were booking with Incredible Peru Tours and we would have preferred to book with them directly, as it seems this would have been cheaper. It would be good if IPT could signpost their offers more clearly. Overall, IPT provided a great service.Written 25 October 2024
- Y5475XAlukem0 contributionsIconic trekAmazing experience hiking the Salkantay over 4 days to Machu Picchu with a small group. Hiking through stunning mountain scenery and seeing Machu Picchu was unforgettable. Although the hiking included challenging sections, it was a comfortable trip with good food and accommodation for a remote trek. Our guide Gilbert went out of his way to help us have a great trip. A very genuine and knowledgeable guide who shared lots of background and personal stories (he even fixed my broken shoe). Ask for Gilbert if you’re doing this trip.Written 19 October 2024
- isalinnr20230 contributionsScam company? This company is either the least professional I have ever encountered, or they are running a scam. I booked the ticket 10 days before the trek and they sold it to me for more than 600 dollars. It was supposed to include Macchu Picchu tickets, train tickets, 7 kg to be carried by mule, maximum 10 persons per group, plus more. Nothing of this was true. I had to show up in Aguas Caliente myself to get a ticket to Macchu Picchu, and I was only told of them not having a ticket for me literally 2 minutes before I stepped into the bus for the trek at 04:45 in the morning. I got 152 soles as “refund” for the MP ticket, but I had to pay 200 soles for the ticket. Afterwards they never gave me a real refund or made things right otherwise either. Not even an explanation. Luckily Incredible Perú chose to hire KB Adventures as a guide for the trek and they are solid. Book directly with KB instead.Written 16 October 2024

If you’re planning to travel to Inca Trail, traveling with Incredible Peru Tours is definitely worth it. It manages to combine beautiful mountain scenery, lush cloud forest, sub tropical jungle and stunning mix of Inca paving stones, ruins and tunnels. Definitely not easy to just do, but it's an amazing experience and the satisfaction you get from completing the trail is indescribable. We would do it all again and highly recommend Fredy as your guide.

We did the 1 day short trail and everything was as described and much better! Fredy was very knowledgeable and passionate about Inca culture and history. He provided us with sleeping bags and hiking poles. The entire tour was very well planned, Fredy was phenomenal throughout the entire journey. We felt so comfortable and encouraged the whole time, and we left with unforgettable memories. I highly recommend this trek and this company for the Inca Trail.

The 2-day short Inca Trail tour was perfect for our busy schedule. We had a great time as a friends. It’s a serious trek with the second day being particularly tough. Make sure you have good walking shoes and that you are in good shape. But you will be rewarded with wonderful and spectacular views of the great landscape and the well-preserved Inca sites. The guide Luis was just amazing and we had the best trip because of him. We are so thankful for Luis and the team of porters for sharing this experience with us and making it come true.
